I am very disappointed with Galvan Tree Service. I reached out on Yelp due to the positive reviews I read. We had 2 trees that needed trimming on a rental house in Escalon. We set up a time to meet on a Saturday because we had to travel from the Bay Area. We did travel from the Bay Area to make the appointment, however Galvan Tree Service did not show up. I called them to find out if they were going to show since we had driven from San Bruno to Escalon (and with the price of gas). The woman who answered the phone said that she remembered something about this appointment but she will have to check with her husband and call me back. We received a call back from her son. He told us that they couldn't make it out to the property to do the estimate but they could give an estimate based upon a couple of photos we sent. The son and the mother were having a conversation in Spanish while we were on the phone. It didnt seem that they were aware that we spoke and understood Spanish and understood all that was being said between the two of them. Very inapropriate for a call with a potential client. They apparently did not have our appointment set. They weren't apologetic nor willing to make it right. The verbal estimate we got was a joke. We have 2 trees and they quoted a price that was very high. I am not naive about the cost of tree work. I couldn't imagine agreeing to hire them without them even coming out to physically look at the trees in question. Not sure how this company does business but it is not in line with what I am used to. Update: 8/2/22 This is a response to the business response to me review: Just to be clear, we had a set appointment and I even confirmed via text message with Alma that we were all set to meet at the agreed upon time and date. (Shall I post the text messages?) I was actually surprised that they were a no show because it seemed all was set. Again, as you can see from the response, Galvan Tree Service did not even provide an apology for having us travel from San Bruno to Escalon for a no show appointment. Regardless of how busy they are, if they make an appointment they should show up or call to let us know before we drove all the way there. Just to be clear, I was speaking with Alma and then she had her english speaking son call me back to tell me that they weren't coming. If the initial interaction with Galvan Tree Service wasn't bad enough, they then reply to my review in an even more inappropriate manner. Never received an apology for my inconvenience only excuses for why their service was so bad. I can only imagine if we had paid them $6K (as verbally estimated from a picture I texted to Alma) how bad their service would have been. I guess we dodged a bullet on this one. He was the lowest of all the places i requested quotes from in my area. He was communicative, polite and understanding. We were able to get a day that worked for both of us. After getting his price he got the job done in record time no more then a week (fyi i was flexible) but he was eager to get the job done. So why not. He came did a great job. Absolutely amazing work. This is the kind of company you wish to hire all the time. They gave me an estimate that outright beat anyone else in this area and at first I was skeptical but they did not fail me. On the day of, they were early and cleared out anything that could be a potential hazard. I had two sycamore trees and they were a pain with all the leaves all over the backyard. On day one, Juan carefully climbed up and slowly but surely tackled both of them down. Zero damage to the fence or any property. They took care of all the debris and cleaned out the yard when they were done. On Day two they brought in a special machine to shred the tree stump and the surrounding roots. Although doing so created a hole in the ground, with the same mulch the hole would fill it back up. My backyard looks twice the size now! So much more open and beautiful. My neighbors next door have a pool and I am sure they are loving me now that they don't have to scoop out all those awful sycamore leaves. We hired Galvan Tree Service to trim several palms in our back yard. He was super responsive. He is also very reasonably priced compared to other services. He came out trimmed my queen palms which are super close to my pool and fence. He did a great job, nothing was damaged in the process as he takes extra care to lower heavy palm pods. i originally asked for a quote for a large tree removal mid April and was quoted a price...in 3 days it increased by 300...now this was a price higher by 1500 dollars from 3 other quotes....i didn't mind i figured they are verified licensed maybe they do a better job right...when i got ready to do the job end of May my son (whose house it is) said he didn't want the tree removed only topped off...so i called to get a second quote for that service...it went from 4500 to 4200 (the original price of the entire tree removal) i explained again that i was no longer asking for quote for removal just topped off...they did not understand so i asked could they come out and look at the tree for reasons of better communication prior to hiring...they said between 11-12noon the next day so I took off work and drove to my sons house and they NEVER showed...when i called i spoke with a lady that was so RUDE...she did not understand what that i was asking for quote for top off and not same quote for removal and was over talking me with "if you want cheaper what you calling me for!"...i realized i wasted my time and that although they are "verified licensed" if they are not able to communicate properly, not respectful of peoples time, RUDE, and does not relate good customer service practices to successful business outcomes...then the "verified license means absolutely nothing read more

I had 2 very tall blue pines removed that were leaning on my garage, several trees that had branches over my house, then some trimming and stump removal done.
