5/16/25 update. After 3 years the landscaping work Greg and his crew did needed to be completely redone. The work was shoddy and way overpriced. He used an inside sprinkler timer outside so the display was ruined after getting wet, the wooden barriers were cut in half to save money apparently, the trees had the wrong sized spikes and subsequently 2-3 of them have to be tied up to the fence now, the weed cover used was cheap and not industrial (hence my "low maintenence" yard has been covered in a forest of weeds), and the rock was dumped excessively causing debris to build up everywhere. Very unhappy with the work and if I could sue I would. I notice the name on this business has changed, probably because of complaints and bad reviews! He claims to not know who I am so I have shared a photo of the redacted "contract" from 2022. I already reached out to him to fix the work but he showed no interest (see review edits!). read more

I did not hire them as they are not licensed. We asked him for a business card. He said he doesn't give them out because people just let them lay around. So??? He said he was licensed but not insured or bonded. So I checked him out on the Contractors Board and BBB. He is not licensed. We got a quote from him anyway. It was rediculous!!!! We didn't go with him. Get licensed and insured to cover yourself and your clients. Choice One Landscape for one he was late 45 minutes and no show do have to say he did call he had car trouble BUT that was 45 minutes late from the appointment that HE had set up with me. The other one is Wolf pack landscape no call no show i even left work early to make the appointment that they set up with me. When he wasn't there his guys were always working. They are really friendly and went out of there way to say hi if you happened to be out side. I almost fell for it. They don't just do pavers. They do it all. Greg came out on short notice to give me an estimate on my front yard. He was straightforward, thorough and fairly priced. The propsal was to to remove the turf, add ground cover and add a few plants to round out the current look. Greg and his team just finished my backyard (stamp concrete). Before choosing G&L Pavers I did an extensive research and interviewed close to 15 companies. Greg stood out amongst all for the following reasons: 1. Did an extensive walkthru of my backyard and explained the whole process to me in detail in a very professional manner. 2. He came well prepared with samples of his prior work 3. After the initial walkthru, he followed up the same night with a very detailed quote. Every thing was laid out in the quote with no ambiguity and a with a clear timeline for completion. This was missing from the other quotes I got from other companies which were basically 2-3 liners. His quote was very reasonable and I had a fair idea (after all my prior interviews and quotes) that Greg was a genuine guy. He mentioned in his contract that he will there on-site all the time and will not be working on parallel projects. This gave me a very good feel. I have heard horror stories that contractors sub-lease to others and the main guy is never there on the job. 4. After the email, he followed up with a courtesy call and at no point I felt pressured nor did he tried to upsell. He is a straight forward guy and I felt that right away when I met him the day he came for the initial walkthru. I decided to gave him the contract and I was glad that I choose Greg. He completed the project per the timelines mentioned in the contract, throughout the whole time he communicated with me constantly, he was there on the job everyday and supervised his workers. There was a day where he was really sick and still showed up to ensure his team was supervised. At the end he delivered a quality product. We were looking to get out pavers done for the side of our pool. Came to the Yelp community to find a reliable and top quality paver contractor. I read the reviews of several contractors including G & L Pavers and Landscaping. As anyone, I read the great along with the negative reviews in Yelp. I realize you cannot please everyone, but you also needed to hire a reliable and top quality contractor. I decided to contact six contractors from Yelp. They all provided bids, some extremely high and others extremely low. Obviously, the high bids I decided to not use them. The low bids, when contractors come out to measure, they seemed to be starting out in the business. Greg came out from G & L pavers and provided a reasonable bid. I was impressed by his experience and knowledge regarding pavers. That evening he provided a type up bid clearly outlining the labor and material cost. He also provided the option of me getting the materials on my own to save money. That gave me comfort in that he was a professional but also was looking to make the project affordable for me. When we got started with the project, we was here working alongside his crew. Unfortunately, I made an error in my measurements and ran out of materials. Greg kindly went to get more sand and pavers to ensure the project was completed on time. It took him and his crew two days to put pavers on 429 sq foot of area. I was impressed with their dedication and efficiency. Moreover the work is solid, quality and with attention to detail.
