I would say the overall rating is 3.5 but rounding up to 4. We are happy with the result but there are room for improvements. 1. The communication: I always have to initiate conversations to get updates on schedules and projects . (Example of things I asked: When are you coming; when are we expecting the next steps; are you coming today; are we on track;....) 2. The project finished after expected finish date in contract which I understand staffing and material delays can be an issue but it is about communication. I wasn't proactively notified. I had to ask when I saw nobody showed up as planned. 3. The machine made the root of our front yard looked pretty damaged but it wasn't shaved down or anything at the end to clean it up. For that reason, I took of a star. Overall, the owner is knowledgeable and knows what he does well. Time will tell how the project holds up. I will provide updates in the next year or so. The quote from here was reasonable compared to 5 other quotes I got. It sits right in middle between lowest quote and highest quote. I decided to go for this one because the owner spent time explaining all the steps to me clearly and he seemed to be a subject matter expert. read more
