I was amazed by how well they restored my filthy tan suede boots! They were transparent and told me they couldn't guarantee anything but they would try their best; they didn't disappoint! I took my brand new all Saint shoes to this place after I wore them in rain and thought I destroyed them. This dry cleaning place is very responsive. They were very understanding to my situation. They even worked on my shoes to clean them in one day since I had to go on a trip. I called multiple other dry cleaning places and they all said they cannot clean the shoes. However, this dry cleaning please took my shoes and they made it very clear me that the stains might not come off but they will do their best. This is my local dry cleaners. They're easy to access, super friendly, honest, and reliable.

I took a pair of jeans in to be patched due to hole. While the patch seems to be appropriately and adequately placed, it seems a little lazy in terms of the full execution. The stitching used is very noticeable from the outside and while the hole is patched, from the outside it still looks like there's a hole. It's not bad necessarily, it just seems like a rush job when it wasn't. Also the staff is very standoffish and seemed like they had better things to do than help me. The price is fine for the results I guess. But I won't be taking my alterations, patching or cleaning here again. read more

I'm a regular here, but I'm beginning to not like this place. First, they are overpriced. I'm okay with the overpricing if they do a good job. But no, they don't. The pants I had altered ripped at the seams as soon as I wore them. When I brought them back, the weekend lady had the audacity to ask me if I had them repaired there when I picked up the pants from her a few days earlier. That weekend lady is rude and needs a lot of training in customer service. I'm done with this place. There are other cleaners in the area. Mediocre experience. Had laundry and fluff and fold that I needed done. Also had a shirt with a rip on the sleeve. They offered to fix the sleeve for free which was nice, but never made a note of that or communicated it with the rest of their staff. As such, I made three separate trips to pick it up before it was ready. Also a bit concerned as their fluff and fold services shrunk some of my clothes. Lastly, hours were shortened due to COVID I presume, and there was no mention of it online. I mentioned yelp and didn't get the 10% off others have received. So yeah. Mediocre. read more

Remarkably incompetent in cleaning and pressing linen clothing. Linen shirts & pants came back with no professional finish that I could not have accomplished at home. Hidden fees charged upon completion (15 % extra) because "it is linen". very sloven in the finishing touches..... only top button was buttoned on shirts and with the way they were packed they were returned wrinkled on the collars. read more

Now I have been going to this establishment for over 20 years. Last week they lost 6 of my favorite shirts. So I then told then fine, either find my shirts or pay me for the loss. Sounds fair huh? Instead the owners went on a vacation to Armenia and left no instructions on how to clear up the problem. Then Amy left a "message" that they would pay the depreciated price of my shirts since they were not "new". As long as I went shopping and bought the receipts to them. Now I do not know about you. But I do not have vast amounts of loose cash laying around. What with being a retired Teacher on disability. So why do I have to float a free loan to somebody that screwed up on me? Plus having to go on a painful shopping trip. And then to get a partial payment for the replacement of the lost shirts on top. Bottom line - It is sad that they do not trust a good customer & have no clue on how to handle such a problem. That is part and parcel of their business. Over priced cleaners! Took my coat and got charged $20 plus extra for them to remove the dog hair on it! ( I have a pug that sheds a lot and I mean a lot). They didn't even do that. When I complained about it the lady got upset! Never again. How do you take a coat to the cleaners and they don't take the hair off or clean it good. I was a loyal customer for years and the owners are very nice but I recently had a very bad experience and was disappointed in the way management handled the situation. I basically, had two pairs of fall pants hemmed and never tried them on after I picked them up (summer months). After the summer, I tried them on and one pair was not hemmed properly and when I went back, they fixed them but wanted to charge me again. I was advised that the tailor they had is no longer with them and they had to pay someone new to fix them properly. I understand but it is the principal. They should eat the cost of not having them done properly in the first place. They definitely lost me as a customer. I will never go back there again. read more

I went in yesterday to drop off several items. When I entered the shop the person working there was spraying down the counters with a cleaning solution of some kind. I was holding my items and she said to wait and then place them on the sprayed counter. I said I didn't want them sitting on the counters with the spay on them she became aggressive with me. I wouldn't go into the whole exchange but will say she was rude to me and I ended up leaving with my clothes I came in with. I have been going to this cleaners for about 2 years and never have had any problems. I will not be going back and have found a new cleaners near my house that welcomed me warmly. I think Green Street Cleaners is a bit pricier, compared to those in Alhambra or San Gabriel, but they take such good care of my clothes! Usually I'll bring in a pile of sweaters or vintage dresses, and they are always careful to cover any of the buttons and details, so I trust them completely! Also, they do alterations pretty quickly, so that's always a bonus. Plus, the ladies are always so nice. I don't go very often, but they seem to remember me when I do go in. I've tried a couple other places in Pasadena and South Pasadena, but they just never seemed as friendly. :) read more

Terrible customer service, shady pricing, rude after losing & failing to fill order correctly I dropped off one of my wife's dresses over a week ago and a few of my shirts on Saturday to be cleaned. I came in Monday evening to pick up all of the garments and the owner couldn't find the dress, and they failed to starch my shirts even though I explicitly asked for it to be done. The owner was unapologetic that the dress could not be found and that the shirts had to be re-pressed. She was extremely rude when I suggested that some sort of discount should be offered to compensate for having to return to pick up my garments later when "her worker could come back to find the dress and re-press the shirts", even though they said it would all be ready by Monday. The owner was also shady in quoting prices, giving different prices on 2 occasions for the order. Poor integrity, terrible customer service, disappointing experience. The problem is one time I got many of my shirts back and they still smelled like they had not been washed, I could smell some BO and I wasn't sure it was mine. Gladly they fixed this at no charge. This is perhaps the worst dry cleaners I have ever been too. I came here on a whim since it's close by my house and I dropped off two brand new white shirts to be pressed. I was told that it was $11.00 for the two shirts, which I found the price to be outrageous, but since I have no choice I was willing to pay for it anyway. When I picked up my shirts the next day, I noticed my brand new shirts were not only more wrinkled up than when I brought it in, but my white shirts were now a soft pink color not white anymore. Not only that there was some mysterious stain on the sleeve and I know that wasn't mine since I brought shirt in brand new. The other shirt has stains all around the collar. Absolutely disgusting! My shirts were definitely not cheap and now not only am I out $11, but two shirts. I will never come back again, hopefully other people have a better experience. read more

This place sucks. Last year, I was new to the neighborhood and so I decided to try out this place. Unfortunately it only took that one visit for this place to ruin a custom shirt of mine. They returned the shirt with a small red sludge mark on the button down portion of the shirt, something that you couldn't hide and was very visible. I am surprised they didn't catch it with their "10 point policy." When I returned the shirt to ask them to remove the stain that they caused, the first thing the guy asked was what "I" did to it. Decided to go to them based on Yelp reviews. Also, it was on my way to the office. As someone who travels, you have to depend on reviews. Arrived Friday morning shortly after they open. Dropped off 4 shirts, pants and some laundry for wash n fluff. The lady was friendly and very helpful. She gave me the 10% off for mentioning Yelp and said it would be all ready at the end of the day. She even offered me a laundry bag to take home for future wash n fluff. I arrived the same evening and everything was ready. The final price was very reasonable, especially compared to hotel prices. They even gave me reusable bag with some goodies inside. Upon quick inspection, everything looks good. If I'm back in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Dropped off a few items to be dry cleaned..a few shirts, a couple dresses and a blue cardigan with mother of pearl buttons. The two ladies at the counter were very friendly. One of the ladies commented that she would "wrap each of the buttons" on one of my dresses because the machine might break them. Came a week later to pick up my items. I looked at the dress in question and all of the buttons were fine. About 3 wks after that, I looked at the cardigan and I noticed one button was broken in half and another was completely ripped from the sweater...in such a fashion that it tore a big hole in it. I went back to the cleaners and asked if there was something they could do about it...and one of the ladies got very defensive and denied that they were responsible. She stated that they check each of the garments before returning them to the customer and they would've noticed something like that. Yes, she was insinuating that I ruined my sweater and was trying to blame them...mind you it was still folded on their hanger, wrapped in their plastic with their tag still attached. This was not a cheap sweater..hence the want to have it dry cleaned and not the home wash with Woolite. She said she'd try to fix it. Their fix was basically whip stitching the hole (on a KNIT sweater!) and sewing on a cheap ass iridescent button..which didn't look anything like the others. When I pointed out how horrible it looked, the lady acted like you couldn't even tell..okay, sure, maybe if you were BLIND! When I asked for some sort of compensation (even a refund of the cost of the original dry cleaning) the lady pretty much acted like I asked for her first born son. read more

I dropped off a brand new and extremely delicate blouse that I had just bought. It is a habit of mine to wash/dry clean anything new before even wearing it. My error was to not inspect the work upon pick-up. When I decided to wear my new blouse, on a special occasion, I discovered a hole in the blouse on the vertex of my shoulder as well as outstretched fabric at the hip level. My figure is athletically lean so the stretch was quite noticeable. Due to time limitations that day I had to leave my blouse on as it was. I know for a fact that this blouse was intact when I purchased it, because I inspect every inch of any garment at the store before buying it. It is not so much that someone by accident caused a hole in it while dry cleaning it because mistakes occur and these are repairable. My principal complaint relies on the fact that the store owner sarcastically implied, with a smirk on her face, that I had produced the damage and was intending to blame them. Thereafter, she immediately pointed at her employee, as a means to direct any possible accusation on her, and followed by assuring me that her employee was a cautious one!? That was an insult to my knowledge. Being a regular customer as I had been I already knew that the owner herself, as well as her daughter, was often involved in the dry cleaning process. When she realized how inappropriately she had behaved, probably due to my dropped jaw and blank expression, she tried to make amends by offering to repair it. But that was it for me, her lack of class and professionalism, not to mention her attempt to direct my suspicions on her loyal employee, urged me to never return. read more

They are right down the street and you'll find me often walking my pooch Quincy with a huge bag of laundry & dry cleaning for drop off. They are so friendly there....Sylva, her husband and Amy their daughter have already become part of my family and routine over the years. Quincy looks forward to seeing them also because they have doggie treats!!! They always do a great job for me and I love the same day service if you drop off by 9am. I also appreciate the reasonable prices for dry cleaning, laundry and alterations. They also repair shoes... it's like one stop shopping! According to Yelp, 2 stars means "Meh. I've experienced better." I feel that this is a perfectly appropriate sentiment for this particular establishment. I have been going to Green Street Cleaners with my dry cleaning needs (and shoe repair/maintenance - they have an adjoining store next door, run by literally the same staff) for 2 years now - ever since I moved to Pasadena. Two years ago this establishment had a higher rating here on Yelp, and due to this decent rating and the proximity to my house, I thought "Ah, ok, I have found my dry cleaner!" The staff are alright. They are not super friendly, but they are not outright rude either. Brusque, but professional. (I would like to comment quickly, before I move on, about the shoe repair store for just one moment. When they service your shoes and are finished with them, waiting for you to return to pick them up, they put them in these ANCIENT, janky cardboard shoe boxes that are stacked against the back wall. Or they stack them on another shelf in the open [meaning the shoes are not put into any kind of receptacle at all], rubber-banded together, and piled on top of or around a bunch of other people's shoes. When you pick your shoes up, they do not offer you anything to put them in, but just hand you back your shoes. I have literally never experienced anything like this at any other shoe repair I have ever gone to, which is why I have always been a little wary of their shoe repair and dry cleaning services to begin with.) I do not have a high volume of dry cleaning needs, so when I do take something in, I want to know it's being treated with the best attention possible. I recently took in two items - a dress that I wore to a wedding, and a corduroy dress-jacket belonging to my boyfriend. The dress had no spots on it, but the label says dry-clean only, and the wedding I attended was in the summer, in the South (North Carolina). It was HOT, and I was sweating pretty nicely the whole time, so at the end of the day, there were strong b.o. aromas in the underarm area. I distinctly pointed this out to the woman who took my order at the dry-cleaner and she even put tape near the area to indicate "special treatment." Suffice it to say, when I got my dress back, it was still stinky. The corduroy jacket (which is black) had a small spot on the front lapel - a water mark or spilled bit of drink from ages ago that my boyfriend just never noticed. As with the dress, I pointed this out, she put the tape, and when I got the jacket back, while the spot is significantly less noticeable, there is still a remnant of a mark visible. I write this review to present an honest account of one person's experiences with this establishment. I've never had a problem with their pricing, they do OK work, and their style of service isn't anything to complain about. I have just noticed over the two years that I have been going there that every time I go, I always come away feeling that their service was "OK" but could have been better. So, after this most recent disappointing experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Dropped off pants for dry cleaning, they were fast and friendly with their service. I had some questions about pricing when I picked up my pants and the girl was kind enough to over the pricing of everything. There is usually parking available on the street and it's free so that is a huge plus. Parking in LA is tough enough. I wouldn't say they're the cheapest but they are moderately priced and on par with other shops in the area. I requested pricing from close to 10 places and they were all within $2 of each other so convenience became the biggest factor for me. read more
