I seriously love these guys... My office is right around the corner and anytime I need something for my set up, I can just pop over there and they always help out and do it at a very reasonable price. Most recently, I lost the USB dongle to my keyboard and they replaced it for me without me having to buy a whole new keyboard... Then, I picked up a WebCam from them because the quality of my laptop camera was terrible for meetings... The first one I brought back to my office wouldn't connect at all to my laptop for some reason, though when they tested it at the store it was fine. They still let me swap it out, and the second one was completely glitchy and was throwing wild colors all over my computer screen so I took that one back (and showed them a video of what it was doing on my screen) and they let me swap it out again with no hesitation... Third time was a charm and now I have a great 1080p WebCam for $20! They also have 720p for $10. They have awesome computer equipment, both new and used! It all comes with a 30-day warranty, so no need to hesitate about buying used. I'll keep coming back and will bring my electronics to be recycled here, in addition to purchasing from them to keep stuff out of landfills! read more

I was having issues with a new build I was doing and I was at my wits end. I called green pc as a last resort. I usually fix my own stuff. Danny answered the phone and I asked what the cost would be and what time was best to drop off. He asked me what was going on and I explained my issue. He asked which steps I had taken to resolve the issue and suggested a possible fix to try before I brought it in. As soon as I got home I( tried Danny's suggestion. 5 minus later I was installing windows and the issue was fixed. I went in for a system update issue, and they helped immediately and fixed my problem on the spot within 10 minutes. I had visited another computer repair store in which they told me that they would need to factory reset for $250. Green PC helped me free of charge and were very genuine. Should have made a review sooner, I'm like 2 years late but so happy they got my Lenovo laptop fixed. The hinges were fucked and my laptop wouldn't shut unless if it snapped in half. I took an ancient Chromebook here desperate to get my book working again to finish some school and job stuff. I was DIRT poor. I didn't ask for any discount just said I was in a real bind- but they fixed it-on the spot-the battery needed removed and a certain reset was hit Fixed in 5m and they showed me how if it happened again. Wouldn't accept my money. I could have cried. I try to always look for used components here before buying new. To everyone wanting hard drive verification and their stuff wiped/have you thought of wiping it yourself or just removing and drilling? If it's that sensitive yet you expect them to do it for free-maybe complain less and learn a few simple data protection skills. My personal data was compromised within days of dropping off my electronics to recycle. I dropped off an old computer and an old phone to recycle. The company advertised they guaranteed safe, secure disposal and destruction of the hard drive. They say they will provide an email receipt indicating the data has been destroyed. While upgrading my pc, I found that I didnt have an M.2 drive spacer that I needed. In my recent move, who knows where the box got off to. With my pc's guts laid out, I was in a panic to find this tiny silver piece that would send my tower onto glory. After calling 3 different places that all stated they "dont sell loose company parts", I called Green PC. AR picked up the phone and responded with a "no problem. We can sell you one. Just come on by". These guys humored me with digging through a bin of different size spacers until we found what looked like just the right one. "If this doesn't fit, come back and we'll swap it. I went to Green PC looking to buy a used laptop or have an old one of mine refurbished. They had several laptops available for very reasonable prices but I thought I'd se what they cuyos do with what I already had. They fixed both my laptops, were able to save all my photos and documents even though I had forgotten but my passwords. Fixed the slowness that occurred after my kids put Roblox and who knows what craziness on my computers. They expanded the memory and replaced the hard-drives. They accomplished all of this for less than half the cost of buying a new laptop. They are both functional for school which for me is entirely online. I highly recommend them. I came here to get my laptop fixed and unfortunately they didn't fix what I asked of them at all. I wanted my screen/back repaired completely because whenever I open my laptop, the back of the laptop pops up and out of the screen. Well all they used was electrical tape to fix it.... they did order me a new screen and now my screen isn't freaking out but they didn't solve the main issue I brought it in for.... and they still charged me $135 to fix my laptop. Granted I know they did put in labor and repair but they didn't even repair it how I wanted and I even told the guy that before I left. I said " well I'm glad my laptop turns on easily now without flashing but you guys still didn't fix the back of the screen like I asked" he walks over... grabs electrical tape and tapes the edge and says " well I'm sorry this is the best we can do" like what.... so upset. Definitely never coming here again. Lesson learned. read more

I described what I was looking for and he mentioned the option to build a computer. He even printed me a list of parts and broke down what each part does. He was very informative with every single question I had about computers. I came back to the store a second time that day and was greeted by Julian when he noticed me looking at the laptops. I had some old computers to recycle. The staff were very friendly. For some reason they do not give receipts. I asked about the hard drive, i.e. whether I should remove it or not, and they indicated they would de-gauze the hard drive and drill through it so the data cannot be read. They would send a certificate via email indicating what they had done. I decided to take one computer to them and ask for their certificate. The regular drop-off staff was not there but a fellow took the computer a put a note on it with my information and asking for the certificate on the hard drive. After a few days I did not receive the certificate. I emailed the sales office but never received a reply. I then left a phone message but again did not receive a replay. I drove to the store and in the drop-off point I was again met told that the regular staff was not there. I left a note explaining why I was there, the type of computer, etc. and again requested a certificate regarding the hard drive. This was over a week ago and I still have not had any response. Based on my experience I will be taking the other computers elsewhere. read more

Green PC is the absolute best. They have helped middle-aged me and my gamer teenager twice now, and are so good about listening to what we need/want and explaining the choices. The last go-around was not easy, as we needed a fast, powerful machine in a small case as my son was flying to a tournament with the CPU. They ended up custom building a machine for us, well within our timeframe and for less money than pre-built computers that did not meet our parameters. I asked these guys to do a cpu swap for me and they did it within the hour, i came in today to get a motherboard and full case swap and the only reason why they couldnt do it today was because i came in an hour before the store closed. Not only that, the labor costs they charge is very reasonable if not the cheapest ive come across and ive been building and breaking down computers since early 2000. on that note, another local computer store i will keep nameless that was rated 5 stars on yelp tried to charge me almost 100 for the same swap these guys did under 50. Don't listen to that Jim B guy, the staff is very friendly, honestly its a computer store not a radio shack. If you walk into a taco bell asking for a hamburger you're going to get looked at funny. They probably thought they were being pranked or something, there are definitely some weirdos in tacoma. The inventory could probably be better, but for an upcoming computer store that is to be expected. These guys just keep on keeping on with terrific fast friendly knowledgeable service. Their consistency is spot on. I recently had them do an "emergency please just make it limp along" service on a dying Quad-Core computer in my office. I just needed it to be restored enough to do a full backup and perform "last rites" on it before sending it to recycling. Now given that premise, MOST places would have skimped - do the least possible for the most money and all that. Not Green PC - I had numerous hard drives inside that were never properly installed (by me!) - mostly lying loose. Even though I didn't ask them to do it, they cleaned all that up - mounted all the drives PROPERLY - and in this case, that wasn't easy.... the case was one of those funky ones that has lots of places to put drives but none of them are all that easy to get to. On top of all that, they dressed all the cables neatly and fully dusted the interior - and even though I turned down some other services offered, that was no problem and didn't affect the quality work otherwise. Total cost: under $70 and I was fully able to not only "limp along" with this old computer for many more weeks while backing up all the 3TB worth of drives, but it was actually a stable and fully usable machine until the very end, which it was not when I brought it to them. Had my computer heading towards the white light. Would not even start to boot and no error code even. I bought it from Green PC last year so called them. Turned out to be fried RAM which was like $20 to replace or $40 to bump up. Was not gharged for diagnostic or labor and am back online in an hr. Went in to the store today with my boss the owner/operator of a boat building business just down the street from them. We are a start up company and was looking for a computer at a reasonable price for what we need to do for our business. I can't remember the guys name that helped us, but when we mentioned a piece of software that is not very well known he seemed to know of it right off and printed off a sheet or two of specs so we could compare them to the computers they had on sale. Not only did we get a great computer at a great price, I found some items for myself while in there! The best part though was the Computer Museum!!! They have old Commodore 128's and Apple IIgs' - it was a walk through memory lane, 5inch disk drives, really old oscilloscopes - there was even an old TV set! And the best of all? Wow over seven years of flawless service from GPC! No matter what the issue we have had from desktops to laptops they have happily and professionally addressed. Most recently my youngest sons gaming computers motherboard gave up and I was told by multiple people it probably took his $1000+ graphics processor with it. I finally packed it up and headed to GPC. Within 12 hours I got a call that the motherboard was dead, graphics was fine, prices for keeping it the same, upgrading, or topping out for a new one. I didn't have the money to do anything but keep it the same. They fixed it, upgraded the ram (one of ours was stick was dead) and had it all ready to go by the next day for under the quoted price.
