Green Olive is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant. Location is great. It is convenient to freeways and has plenty of parking. There is both patio seating and indoor seating. Came here for the first time with a friend on a Thursday evening. It was busy but there were still some tables available and a small line to order our food. The place is clean and service is great. I ordered a Lamb Kabon Wrap and a Kunafa. We got a number for our table and our food was brought to us. Regardless of whether one dines in or orders to go, the food is provided in to-go containers. My order came out within 10 minutes. The portions are generous. The wrap was amazing. The lamb was cooked well and was tender. The spicy potatoes were tasty with a slight crisp. The green sauce that came with the entree was flavorful with a slight kick. The Kinafa was okay. It was kind of bland and soggy. Probably would not get again. Overall, giving Green Olive a 4/5. The staff are friendly, service is good, the space is clean, and the Lamb Kabob Qrap was amazing. Would recommend to others and would return to try other menu items.

I don't even know where to begin with this place, this is the holy grail of delicious food, like seriously this is the best Mediterranean food I ever tried especially with the pita breed, and the service is really great. Overall if you're hungry I recommend this place so the chef can cook something up for you.

Really impressed with their quality of food! This will be my new go to Mediterranean spot! I got their filet mignon plate. Very juicy meat!! 10/10!!! Would definitely come back! Plenty of parking too.

The best Mediterranean food around ! Everything we ordered was so good . Very fresh and they have healthy options ! The spicy hummus . Chicken kabob , filet mignon , shrimp kabob , Greek salad & empanadas were all a 10/10. This place was busy & I highly recommend ! Can't wait to come back

I got the kunafa, beef boraq, and chicken and filet mignon kabob platter. Everything was good. Kunafa was sweet, more sweet if you microwaved it so it's warm but when cooled down, less sweet. The sweetness was a good amount, not too rich. Never had Lebanese pastry before so this was a great first experience. The beef boraq was a little spicy but it was good, the beef and the olives inside, very different. It looked like an empanada haha. Love the pickles that came with it too. The kabob platter- I loved the rice pilaf- so different from other mediterranean places I tried. It was flavorful and soft, not dry. The meats were good, good texture and nice flavor.

Ok Downey! My tastebuds are very satisfied after tasting another one of your delicious gems! I'm not big on Mediterranean but I've definitely changed my mind now. I started with the Chicken Kabob Plate that came with juicy pieces of breast that were bathed in spicy lemon garlic sauce, so so tender and delicious. Next was the Filet Mignon and the charred Shrimp. Mmm mmm! That marinade made this dish bang! It was accompanied by the Tabouli salad that was really refreshing and that olive oil lemon juice made me smile with a happy squint, LoL. To end the delicious experience was a piece of their Baklava. Oh yeah! Pistachios and Walnuts in a dessert? Oh yeah it's definitely my jam! So lip smacking tasty. The service was amazing and attentive. Indoor seating available but if you like dining alfresco there's a nice eye pleasing patio for that. And that's my take on it, Peace, I'm out!

Where do I start? The amazing customer service? The delicious food? The huge portions? The best Baklava I've ever had? I came here with some of my best girlfriends and immediately we were greeted by the warm staff. (we chose to eat in their outdoor seating area) The manager Yovanni was extremely hands on. I love when I go to restaurants and the managers are involved. We had Evelin take care of us. She was absolutely amazing. The owner of the green olive even owns a couple other successful restaurants. So you know this place is going to be good We came at an odd hour and it wasn't too crowded. So we got to talk to Evelin. There's only been a few times where I was completely blown away by the customer service, and this was one of them. They treat you like family. We ordered our food and the manager came out and suggested we pull another table up to ours to make more room. And then we saw why lol. There was so much food coming out. Our server, Evelin and manager Yovanni just kept coming in and out of the kitchen with a never ending supply of food (they even brought out tons of sauces and fresh warm pita for us) For drinks they have soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, a selection of beer and wine. We did get our hands on some individual little bottles of bubbly to toast since it was a celebration I ordered the vegetarian plate which came with hummus, falafel and a small salad. Pita Chips with Tzatziki also came out. I was in heaven. I can live off of pita chips with FRESH Tzatziki and hummus Kibbi Stuffed Meat Balls, which I've never had before. But now I'm a fan. Home Style Spicy Potatoes. These had a perfect little kick to it! These thin spicy potatoes hit the spot. It was the perfect balance and went well with all the fresh salad and fresh dips / sauce The big Greek salad tasted just as good as it looked. The Green Olive Platter came with a Beef Kabob, Beef Kafta, Chicken Kabob, 2 Falafels, 2 dolmas, rice, hummus & salad This platter seems to be one of their most popular dishes. I can't say this enough, the food is extremely fresh and you can taste all the delicious spices. Nothing was overpowering, nothing was smothered in salt. This was just good, fresh food with great ingredients. Chefs kiss (At this point my head was spinning with all this food) I know I'm forgetting other items that our table ordered (we all tried a bite or two of each others dishes) I think it's safe to say, we all went home with to go boxes for later. They brought out a few different desserts. Including a birthday tiramisu (with a birthday candle) And the best baklava I've ever had in my life (No, seriously. It was the best I've ever had) This place had such a warm atmosphere. It was literally like eating at a family get together Thank you, Green Olive for taking care of this party of 5 and making us feel like we were the only ones there. And thank you Lynn, Nikki, tesee and Ella for coming with me and for the warm birthday wishes and gifts 5 stars for service 5 stars for LARGE portions 5 stars for cleanliness 5 stars for value 5 stars for how fresh the food was 5 stars for parking (they have up close spots they share with other businesses)

Whatever you decide to choose at Green Olive, you cannot go wrong. Everything tastes absolutely delicious. The place is usually packed, and there is reason why, the food is great and the service is exceptional. We were greeted by Yovanni, the manager, who was very friendly and helpful. We had the Chicken kebab with shrimp kebab with hummus and rice pilaf. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp was perfectly seasoned. Filet mignon & kafta combo platter was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Spicy potatoes is a must order. The Hummus was creamy and buttery. You have to order the Traditional Mediterranean Salad and Greek Salad. So fresh and the dressing bursting with flavor. I highly recommend Green Olive if you're in the Downey area.

Four beautiful ladies (Te-See, Ella, Lauren, & Lynn) and I met here for a celebratory lunch. The weather was perfect for sitting outside in the cozy patio. We toasted to friendship with a glass of bubbly and then proceeded to enjoy a delicious feast. Green Olive was founded by Downey resident Sam Sarofeem - an Egyptian migrant. He also owns The Olive Restobar & One 12 Café. Everything here is made to order from scratch using quality ingredients, so what you receive is fresh. The service here is also exceptional! Manager Yovanni was fantastic! He came out to check on us several times. Our server (also assistant manager), Evelin Sanchez, was the best! She had such a warm, friendly personality. We all loved her! In true foodie fashion we shared some appetizers: Fresh Pita Chips with Tzatziki (so good), Home Style Spicy Potatoes: Thinly sliced crispy potatoes tossed in a mixture of cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, & lemon juice. (Insanely good.) Kibbi (Stuffed Meat Balls), everyone said these were delish! Entrées consisted of 3 orders of The Green Olive Platter (1 Beef Kabob, 1 Beef Kafta Kabob, 1 Chicken Kabob, 2 crispy Falafels, 2 Dolmans, side of rice, Hummus, & salad). A Falafel Platter (5 Falafels, picked vegetables, olives, tomatoes, Hummus, & Tahini sauce), and my Greek Salad, which was loaded with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, green olives, pepperoncini, & Feta cheese. Evelin also brought us sides of garlic paste, a spicy green sauce, & fresh, warm pita. The servings were generous and the prices are reasonable. Despite being stuffed, we couldn't resist the house made desserts: Baklava (Amazing!), Kunafa (Yum!), & Crème Brûlée (so good!). Yovanni, Evelin, and the other staff were sweet and surprised the birthday girl with Tiramisu and a Happy Birthday song. The food here is so incredibly delicious and the service is outstanding! WOW!!!! What an amazing experience! 5 stars across the board! Met my girls, Nikki, Laurel & Lynn for lunch and the manager Yovanni took excellent care of us. Evelin Sanchez, lead server, was spectacular!!!!~. She wooed us with her charismatic personality and impeccable service with attention to detail. One dish after the other came out to our table... 1) Freshly Made Pita Chips w/Tzatziki - AMAZING 2) Kibbi Stuffed Meat Balls - DELICIOUS 3) Home Style Spicy Potatoes - Outrageously good! The potatoes were thinly sliced and crispy 4) The Green Olive Platter came with 1Beef Kabob, 1 Beef Kafta, 1 Chicken Kabob, 2 Crispy Falafels, 2 dolmas, side of rice, hummus & salad - EXCELLENT! So much food we all took leftovers home:) 5) The Greek Salad - loaded with tomatoes, cucumbers, green olives, pepperoncini, & feta cheese Then came the desserts... 1) Home made on the premises ~ Baklava fresh and delicious! 2) Kunafa - tasty 3) Creme Brulee - out of this world 4) Tiramisu for our Bday girl! *This Middle Eastern gal "Highly" recommends eating here. What an incredible experience! Came here for lunch to celebrate Laurel T's birthday with Te-see and Nikki. Awesome pick, Te-see!! It was a lovely day, so we chose to sit outside in the patio. Evelin Sanchez, lead server, greeted us right away and went above and beyond till the very end of our stay! We had such a feast and everything was absolutely delicious! Beverages: soft drinks, beer and wine. We enjoyed splits of bubbly. What we tried: Spicy potatoes- thinly sliced and the creamy sauce had such a nice kick! Kibbi- stuffed fried meatballs Tzatziki- the creamy herbed cucumber went well with the kibbi and pita chips! Greek Salad- fresh romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepperoncini, green olives and feta with homemade lemon garlic dressing Falafel Platter- comes with 5 perfectly fried balls of chickpeas mixed with parsley and spices, salad and creamy hummus. Green Olive Platter- My fave! For just $23.99, you get beef, chicken and kafta kabobs with 2 pieces of dolmas, falafel, salad, rice pilaf and hummus! The beef was cooked medium and was so tender. The kafta was seasoned to perfection. The dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) were some of the best I've had! They cook the rice in a tomato sauce, making them so moist and flavorful. Desserts: the baklava, kunafa, creme brulee, and tiramisu were served with fresh fruit and they were so rich and delicious! I realized the owner of Olive Restobar, Sam Sorafeem, is also the owner of this location. It was no surprise when I tasted the authenticity and love in the food as well as the authenticity and love of the staff here. We were so appreciative of the care and attention they gave us. They even came out to sing to the birthday gal. Thank you to the amazing team at Green Olive for the memorable experience! We'll be back!!
