    Green Light Restoration began remodeling my residence on 12/28/21. Today is 9/2/22 and the work that was scheduled to be complete in March 2022 has yet to be completed. The water resistant wood laminate flooring that was installed is in worse condition after an attempted repair due to damaged planks being installed initially. The paint job is incomplete with areas that are still just primed, ceiling paint that is on the wall and other areas that feel like sandpaper due to lack of sanding. New doors were installed and don't close, entire kitchen flooded during work in kitchen and contractor was not reachable. I spent 4 hours cleaning up the water. Marble floor tile and mosaic kitchen tile is noticeably uneven. Contractor was asked to leave my home after becoming irate. Owner has now become unresponsive to emails or text sent requesting completion and correction of unacceptable work. I would not do business with this company. There has been no attempt to address the 62 pics I sent that represent incomplete or bad workmanship. This is unacceptable and shouldn't happen to anyone. If no stars was an option that is what I would give this company.

    Tom did an great job  leaning and fixing my chimney. Super clean and professional and dependable. I highly recommend them.

    Very bad job, had to hire someone else to redo the work. The only thing Tom was worried about was money. Don't hire green light restoration.

    He was professional. He took photos and videos both before and after the sweep and did an inspection. His service was quick and clean.

They handled a full parging of the smoke chamber, installed a Charred Rugged Split Oak log set with remote, moved the gas line, painted the inside of the firebox with black paint, and prepped everything for us to add the rocks. Their technician left the gas running before ignition, causing a fireball to shoot out of the fireplace while I (and our dog) were sitting next to it. It singed the worker's hair and melted his phone case/phone, this easily could have resulted in a serious injury or property damage. It also became clear during the visit that the technicians didn't know how to operate one of our fireplaces. They had to text photos to someone else for instructions and still could not get the second fireplace working (which we later discovered is controlled by a simple wall switch). Despite the lack of safety and technical competence, we were charged a 50% mid-service up charge for "deep cleaning" sweep, with no clear explanation of what that covered beyond the original inspection & sweep service, all while we were trying to calm our dog, who was scared from the fireball. The stone on one fireplace needed crack repair, but the workmanship was sloppy. Sealant was accidentally smeared onto our marble facade on the outside of the fireplace and not cleaned up, and the color of the sealant doesn't match the stone in our fireplace. None of this was disclosed beforehand, and now it will require further repair to fix. We reached out via phone and email multiple times asking for a resolution and gave the company every opportunity to address the issues. It has been over a month with zero response from management. We are now having to dispute the charge through our credit card company. Based on the safety risk, lack of technical knowledge, the questionable mid-service up-charge, and complete lack of accountability or care to resolve these issues with us, I would not recommend this company.

    Should have read/listened to the reviews…read more So disappointing. Scare tactics and bad service. After their cleaning I found soot, debris and a dead mouse! I was with their technician the entire time, asked why he didn't use his vacuum that he brought and he said the chimneys were clean due to lack of use. However after his "inspection" he had nearly $13000 of "mandatory" repairs needed if I didn't want my house to burn down. Not to worry, there was a $300 dollar coupon if I signed that day. When I said no, they offered to seal my chimney for around $500 if he did it then and there, if not it would be an additional since they'd have to set up a ladder again. Really?? He pushed and pushed, more and more dire scenarios should I delay these repairs. I had to act fast since there was no time to delay due to scheduling. He cleaned two of the 3 flus since one was in my kitchen but I was still charged since he "inspected" it. I got a second and a third opinion. Both of these contractors agreed these "repairs" WERE NOT NECESSARY but should be done however everything was safe to use. I asked for a refund due to the lack of cleaning, scare tactics and poor customer service. I figured it was a long shot but tried, it was rejected. My chimney was sealed and fireboxes mortar repairs without coming anywhere near their quoted price. I'm no expert and don't doubt these repairs should be done. This companies tactic of dire scenario and house burning down compared to two other licensed contractors stating a polar opposite is very concerning. I felt it was a scare tactic to myself and wife to maximize high dollar "repairs". I plan to make repairs but certainly will not be calling them. If you do call them, I'd highly recommend getting a second opinion. Maybe I got a bad tech, the service lady said he's one of their most seasoned. Bad day? I don't know but that was an overall terrible experience. UPDATE Adam thank you but as you were not here, I asked what that meant and he repeated, maybe a bad joke? Secondly, I was with him as I don't welcome strangers in my home unattended which is why I scheduled for a Saturday. My wife was in the kitchen unpacking as we just moved in. Thirdly, I requested to speak to a supervisor but was offered a technician instead. Yes, I rejected your offer for another technician, why would I accept the offer when I I had such a bad experience? Why would I invite this service back Into my home? Lastly, pictures you requested. Perhaps you have done great work over 30 years but the feeling these were fear tactic pressuring and leaving the debris behind is the basis for my review. Your technician saying he couldn't clean the kitchen because you don't provide kitchen service and charging me all while pressuring us to agree and sign for repairs (for a "only today" 300 dollar off coupon) that were very much disagreed upon by two other contractors. Another great thing about a free market system is that I'm entitled to my opinion based on my experience. Perhaps others have had the greatest experience ever, I did not. Maybe your technician had a bad day.
