Horrible service. They left a mess and I'm pretty sure I got ripped off for something called a crown coat repair... I guess my chimney top was supposed to be sealed and have crown coat painted over it but it was just painted over... you could still see the cracks and they were not sealed. My roofer contractor is the one who confirmed my suspicion. Originally had them come out for a chimney sweep. I would not recommend this company. read more

Never do business with this guy. You wan't to talk about unprofessional. Rude. And absolutely a liar. Rob is just about the fakest contractor and person I've ever met. Quoted me hundreds less then once it was all done he said there were "problems" that arise in any job and that's why it's called "an estimate." The work was not quality at all. The second he came all he wanted to do was leave fast and with as much money as possible. When I pushed back on why the estimate and job were off by hundreds he basically started to speak condescendingly asking me if I had been a mason (masonry is cement work) for 35 years like him and that's why he knew better. He said sometimes you can't know a problem "until you get in there," but modern chimney work is usually done by sending a camera up or down the chimney... he didn't have that. He swept the chimney by hand instead of using automated brush spinners... basically this guy was the exact opposite of what he sold me over the phone. Stay away. read more

I recently bought a mid century modern home built in 1955 with a massive fireplace with it's original clay liner. We were getting a smoke smell in the house that wasn't coming out of the fireplace opening. Rob was extremally knowledgeable and easy to work with. He assessed the issue, pointed out cracks in the parging of the massive firebox and gaps in the liner mortar. He did everything possible to keep the cost down when other services wanted to go nuclear. He replaced the top damper with a much larger one to increase airflow. Added a stainless steel liner with a lifetime guarantee. Reparged the smoke box and tuck pointed the chimney and firebox. The smoke smell is gone and the fireplace is burning better than ever. We smelled gas coming out of our fireplace last night and called the gas company who confirmed we had a leak (scary!!), and they needed to turn off the gas. We texted Rob, and he showed up first thing this morning to figure out what was going on. He was very careful not to damage the stone around the fireplace and quickly identified and fixed the problem - an old damaged valve that had shifted, so the gas wasn't shutting off as it should. We were very impressed with Rob's quick response and service - being without gas in January can get cold, quickly - but Rob was awesome and saved the day! I was able to get someone right out when the weather turned cold. The owner was great. Very quick and left the house clean!

We had Rob come over to do a chimney sweep, and full 14 point inspection of our fireplace. We appreciated how he took time to wear foot guard to protect our floor and drape tarps to protect our carpet. He cleaned up with a shop vac before he'll wrap the drapes back up. I was really impressed with the fact that he was able to explain very clearly what was going on with our fireplace and did not give us the heavy sales pitch. We understood the cracks in our fireplace would wind up being a fire hazard and our gas line opening was not properly sealed. Full disclosure: our fireplaces over 25 years old. So we had him come out again with his team to replace three of the four panels. His team was kind, respectful, and courteous. Mario, Rob's mason fellow, offered to spray paint the fireplace with a high temperature stove paint to make it look uniform and even as they were wrapping up fixed our fireplace door, which had not closed for the past several years!
