While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. Steven Grimm from Wolf Development was at our house in less than 2 hours after we made the call. He checked everything out. He took a lot of pictures of everything. After some discussion we decided to go with Wolf to replace our roof, siding, gutters and downspouts. Steven called our insurance company right then and filed a claim. He did all the follow up with our insurance company to make sure all the damage to our house was covered. He also did all the work with the county to get building permits. (5 star customer service) When the project was ready to start the roof material was delivered. We also got a dumpster and a port-a-potty. All this was placed on the edge of our driveway such that we could still get our car in and out of the garage. Steven and/or David (owner) visited the job site frequently. Their crews got a lot done in one, long, work day. The roof, gutters and downspouts were fine. We did have some issues with the workmanship of the siding installation. Steven and David came out to look things over. They found a number of items they didn't like. They had their crew out the next day to make fixes. We have shutters on a small window on the garage. For some reason the shutters didn't fit after the new siding went on. New shutters had to be ordered. A crew member said he would tell David to order the new custom shutters and it would be about 4-6 weeks. We waited 6 weeks and called Wolf. Apparently the shutters hadn't been ordered so we had to wait an additional number of weeks. It seemed to us that David had forgotten to order the replacement shutters. Instead of admitting he had forgotten (as we would have understood) various explanations as to why the shutters had not been delivered to the warehouse were given. The siding was finished mid-August...the shutters were finally put up mid-December. Steven and David also did some custom work for us to hide the ugly wire from our roof-top TV antenna to the lower level of our house, for that we were most appreciative. Thanks.

Manny came out that same week, took a look at the roof and provided us with a quote for both roofing options to consider--each quote felt completely reasonable. We opted to go with the EPDM flat roof system. Our project overlapped their busy season but we were still put on the schedule for a couple weeks out. The Dickson team was a small group focused on just our project--I did not feel like they were rushing the work to move onto the next which was honestly a huge plus. Manny did not push unnecessary work, products or attempt to upsell us. The work took a couple days to complete and Manny was sure to keep me up to speed on their progress at the end of each day. When the work was finished he had us take a look and, again, explained what they did. Unlike previous contractors, Manny and his team kept the work clean. I have yet to find a single stray nail in our yard or driveway and there was very little residual roofing debris from the removal of the old roll shingles. Mariusz came out the next day, as promised (he even called to see if he could come a little earlier than scheduled) and assessed the situation. He explained the options and what his recommendation was- but there was no pressure to agree to the work on the spot- he just asked that I call and let him know if I wanted to move forward, His quote was extremely fair and better yet, he was able to start the work within the week. When I had questions on the contract he sent over, he immediately called to talk through them, and sent an updated quote the same day. The work took two days- the guys took care of everything, including a very thorough clean up- no debris to be found! And our new garage roof and gutters look great- and we now know that they have been properly installed, so we shouldn't have a repeat of the same issues we had experienced before. After having experienced the service and detail of this company - I'm completely convinced they are trustworthy, offer value and a good experience and should get a call for every roofing project. I've been considering a reroof for seven years as I knew my roof would need replacement along with skylights and gutters eventually, so I've read up about all there is about roofs and skylights and gutters. Tom arrived, and did a detailed assessment on top of the roof, and provided good feedback on my concerns. He noticed several things on his assessment and offered additional options on them including various ventilation ideas. I asked him about my siding as well - he thought my siding did not need replacement so we did not quote that out. He said that his crew would strictly be outside for the project and would not need to enter the home for any reason (even though we were doing an attic fan install, and skylight replacement). About 2 days later, I received a quote via email, and we chatted more about the details - particularly about my sky light replacements and the merits of different types of roof ventilation. Being my first quote, I thought the quote was definitely a good quote (verified later after four more quotes that I received - same shingles, harder sell job from others, and some did not even climb the roof at all). After all my quotes came in, I went with Presidential Roofing - scheduled for two weeks later Roof would take 2 days, Gutters half day. The week of the job - I received a note from Tom on the particular details of the week. Don't keep the car in the driveway or in garage, as they'll deliver and use the driveway for the materials/haul away for three days. Materials were lifted onto roof off a flat-bed truck crane Tuesday afternoon. Tom advised that the skylight replacement would create some interior dust/debris (so I used some painter cloth tarps/plastic covers taped to the ceiling). They left a small dumpster trailer (swept really clean btw) off to the side of the house (wooden planks so no tire treads in grass). Each day they would clean up around the home, and would do a magnet roller to catch any nails that would have fallen around the home. The project was done exactly on time as scheduled. They started at 7-7:30am - 6pm each day for the roof. The crew was great - they were friendly, detailed, and Tom called a few days later to ask about the roof. The final invoice arrived by mail the following week (no surprises - very close to the quote), when I had the payment ready - Tom dropped by to fetch.
