While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. I am beyond capable of understanding a quote on a deck (the small project I'm planning now) AND I never sign a contract the day it is presented. I like to get at least three quotes on any job. I had one other company back in 1977 not meet with me unless my husband was home - I totally thought things had changed by now, but guess not for everyone UPDATED: Yes, I received more than one phone call letting me know that an exception would be made to meet with me without my husband. I informed each caller that I had other options and that I did not want further calls. Hopefully no more calls from this company. The main problem is the extreme negligence and total disregard to messages about the status. Completely ignored messages. Even after going to the company and speaking with the owner, still nothing. I elevated to my assigned contact's manager and he even ignored my requests. The crew worked 12+ hour days in 90 degree heat, and were very respectful of my property. I have honestly never seen a crew work so hard.
