    Gyros Plate

When I was visiting Chicago, I was in the mood for Greek food for dinner. I found this place via Yelp. I ended up getting the gyro plate ($15.49) which was really good and very filling. Also got a Mexican Coke ($2.97). I would def recommend the Greek Corner if you're in the mood for Greek food. * Fair prices * Outdoor dining available * Street parking

Heard lots of good things about this place but was still unsure about it. It's a pretty crummy looking place from the outside. Greek Corner is better than it looks. One thing about is that it's not just another one of those greasy places for gyros and meats. There's actually a few healthier items such as veggie burgers and stuff. After giving this place a chance, we were glad we did it. It's located close to Black Dog Gelato so we see this place a lot. This was the first time eating here though. It's not big but has a few tables inside. Pretty good prices for the portions. It's about $13 for a combo. The #7 Combo is a Black Bean Burger with a drink and fries. Comes with a secret sauce, which I left off, but this is kind of like tzatziki it appears. She said it wasn't and it sucked though. We each got the rest of the toppings including the standard lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Burgers were cooked pretty good. There's no need to cook bean based burgers long and these were almost perfect. Good except for the nasty sauce they put on everything. It should be left off for sure. There's plenty of good options for those looking for something greasy, and there's a couple burgers for vegetarians.

Didn't plan on coming here but happy that we did. Food was tasty and surprisingly fresh. Restaurant was clean and had good vibes, & workers were very kind. Definitely recommend for lunch, especially when their patio is open

A plate of goodness (Chicken Gyros, Chicken Souvlaki Plate)

OK YUM. Say hello to my new staple. This is a tiny little place on the corner of Damen that I probably wouldn't even have tried if I didn't pass it every day going home from work and saw it on Chicago foodies page. But it was amazing! I got a takeout deal from GrubHub so it was $17 for all of this. I set my order time for 7 PM but know better and showed up around 650 and it was piping hot. I double checked all my food and when I opened the container steam came barreling out so I knew the food was fresh. I ordered the chicken souvlaki skewer plate and added a side of the chicken Gyro meat. The plate came with rice, a cucumber tomato salad, two skewers, a large pita bread, and a side of tzatziki. I also added the jalapeño tzatziki and a side of hummus. Both completely necessary! I've never seen jalapeño tzatziki before but it was amazing... But it's hot so be warned. Everything was seriously five out of five. The best pita, tzatziki, and gyro I've had in the city. The rice wasn't super impressive on its own but was the perfect vessel for the chicken. I will definitely be back!

Gyro plate - comes with meat and "salad" and opted for Greek fries as the other side. Large gyro portion and overall fantastic, especially for delivery!

The food was great. Had a chicken gyro. Greek fries (they forgot to add vinaigrette or feta on them hence the loss of a star) My mom had the Grecian chicken and devoured it. My son had chucked Greek salad.

Wow. Wish I had come here sooner!!! Can't believe this was my first time here. Reminds me of Pete's on Roosevelt in Oak Park/Berwyn! Very quick and nice staff. Got the Chicken Gyro Plate w/ rice instead of fries. Everythinggg (gyro, pita, rice, salad) was incredible!! I can't wait to try more items on the menu!

I was craving a gyro for lunch and found Greek Corner on UberEats. I ordered their classic gyro sandwich and greek fries. I enjoyed the fries quite a bit. I thought the feta cheese gave them a really nice flavor. They even passed the re-heat test later on that evening since the order was so large. Admittedly I've had better gyros, but for the price you can't really go wrong if you have a craving. I didn't like how I needed to purchase extra tzatziki, was kind of hoping that would just come on the side. But in retrospect I didn't really need it, the sandwich had plenty on it. Will most likely order it again!

This place is really great and Greek, been going for quite some time. The gyro meat is shaved thin and consistently cut, gorgeous and generous portions. Thank you delicious Greek corner. Cash only

She stated she did not know why he refused as this was entirely possible. This led is to think that since the tip is included in the bill, he didn't need to worry about the quality of his service. This year I was so excited to bring my family and Ema was the only restaurant in Chicago I couldn't wait for them to try. I booked it as our final meal in Chicago and lay awake at 4am being so disappointed in my choice. Our server's greeting was monotone and emotionless, which I realize now, would be foreshadowing the meal to come. Ordered the following 1) Smoky eggplant- arrived appearing as an unappetizing curdled purple grey mush. This was the worst tasting baba ghanouj I have ever eaten. It was acidic and had the texture of cottage cheese. The only redeeming thing about this appetizer was the warm naan. 2) house made stratciatella with side of green falafels- The stratciatella was bland and stringy. I would not order this dish expecting the creamy interior of typical burrata. However, if you like string cheese mixed with heavy cream- you may enjoy this dish. The tomatoes and basil were good. 3) chicken kefta- kefta was bland, rice even blander . 4) short rib with polenta- bland and the meat and polenta had the same texture, which seems impossible but somehow the plating was over complicated by the addition of mushy dates and grapes. 5) buttered noodles- my 8 year old ordered this. It was decent with a good amount of Parmesan and cooked perfectly al dente. By the end of the meal, I was so shocked by how terrible the food was I didn't even want to order the sticky date cake that was my main purpose for returning to this restaurant. Ema, what happened to you?!

The staff was warm and attentive throughout the meal and brought out delicious complimentary french bread. It's pretty cool that although the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, staff from the adjacent bar came around every so often and took orders. For appetizers, we started with the feta and olive appetizers. They were good, but I'd probably order something a little more unique next time. I opted for the chicken kalamata dinner for the main event, which came with more french bread and a salad. The salad came out first, and it was pretty simple with minimal dressing. I wished there had been more variety in produce and something besides iceberg lettuce for greens. I'd recommend getting some feta on the side to add some flavor. The chicken, however, was absolutely outstanding. It was super tender, seasoned beautifully with za'atar, and brined in vinegar (I think). The za'atar seasoned french fries underneath were extra crispy and perfectly soaked up the extra sauce from the chicken. For the price, this place is a steal- you really can't beat the quantity and quality of food that you get. Overall, a great experience- I definitely recommend making a stop if you're in the area!

When I asked to be seated at one of those tables, we were told they were reserved for bigger parties. (This has actually happened before, but typically one of the owners is there and quickly accommodates) This time, we waited for a manager and literally stood in the middle of the dining room for close to 5 min before a manager came and said they were cleaning a table. The table they sat us at was for 4 people; as were the ones supposedly being saved for a bigger party. I accepted the table because at that point was too frustrated to push back. Our waiter was friendly; however more concerned with asking us if we wanted more drinks, than taking the dirty dishes off the table. He rarely came back to the table. When we finally got our check he informed me that 20% gratuity was included. At that point I was so flustered I did not push back. This gratuity was definitely not earned and explains why he was not inspired to take care of us.
