I had never had goats' milk ice cream, so what better place to do that than Borough Market where they sell pretty much everything. Greedy Goat has a small stand in the ridiculously small seating area of the market. Jamie W. and I decided to treat ourselves on a balmy day. £6 will get you two scoops in a cup, and there were about ten enticing flavors to choose from. Jamie went for Caramel & Sea Salt and Banana, Chocolate & Caramel (photo: https://yelp.to/Y558VWhmM_), while I got the Cherry & Amaretto and Hazelnut (photo: https://yelp.to/1S4DBPzJiQ). Needless to say, they were deliciously creamy. We could've had a second cup, but who'd be considered greedy then? This is where their story started, humble beginnings serving ice cream cups and cones from their 'little goat shack' at the market. Their ice cream is made in Somerset from British goat's milk. (Uhhhm, don't mind if I do!) Their ice creams are GMO free, egg free, gluten free, lactose friendly, 100% natural, suitable for vegetarians, and all that good stuff . They had a handful of fun flavors available and we went with chocolate for the kiddo and we got the banana & pecan. Our son enjoyed his ice cream and couldn't even tell it was made from goat's milk instead of cow's milk ;). We also enjoyed our ice cream. Nice, clean flavor and not overly sweet! The fact that they use locally sourced ingredients were a big plus for me and something I like to look for when visiting new places. It is quite a bit pricey per scoop, at £3.90, but we were on vacation so ... counting memories not $$$.

The restaurant is in a cute little spot with a few other restaurants. Great vibe with indoor and some outdoor seating The fresh fish and wine pairings are outstanding. We started with sea scallops which melted in your mouth. So good! Then we got a bottle of white wine with fish pairings (they had 8 local options the night we visited). I had the sea bass, and my husband had the trout. So good that I picked that sea bass apart all the way to the bone, which is saying a lot given that it was a very meaty, generous portion already. I tasted the trout, and it was equally amazing. Very impressive and fresh! I wish we could've actually tried some dessert because others around us looked very happy, but we were so full it didn't make sense. If you like fish, go out of your way and stop here! You won't regret it.

Enjoyed patio dining in the evening without a wait. Everyone is so lovely and charming here, including their guests. I am a big fan of their chef, what a wonderful host she is! She made accommodations for my love since he couldn't have anything on the menu being gluten free. She created a dish for him specifically. She made the most incredible butter fish and he loved it. I was craving the Maldon Rock oysters and loved the vibe here. The presentation of all their dishes is beautiful art. Did you see the oyster picture???? I had the St Austell mussels and the cream sauce is spectacular like melted goodness dripping in each taste. Who would think almonds could be paired with mussels???!!! Ooeemmggee. I almost went with the rum baba dessert. But the lemon verbena panna cotta is superb with the delicate white chocolate and pistachio crumbles. Come sit here. Be at peace with whatever. Leave control to the staff to entertain and host you. Do your best to not smile too big at The Garrison.

He introduced us to the owner who was quite the interesting and charming lady! The decor is great! The food is fantastic ( I loved the Moo Pieminister Pie!) The drink selection was wide, seasonable, and with Stanley taking time to let us taste many, it made it a 6 star experience! If you are a US NFL fan, do expect to this to be popular with Raven fans. As with most places here, there's no air conditioning so in this hot London day (30°+C) they had the door and windows open which gave it a nice breeze and very comfortable. Stanley talked me into trying the Aspall cider and it was so very cool and refreshing (and he wasn't stingy on the pour either!). We got in before dinner service began so we chilled with our drinks (my bf settled on the Madrí lager...less hoppy than we typically find at home in the U.S.). I wanted the Moo PieMinister but, unfortunately, they were out of the ingredients so I ordered the bangers and mash instead and washed it down with a nice cold blood orange cider. My bf ordered the Cottage Pie. Both were delicious. We received outstanding, friendly service and the staff is exceptional. If you happen to be a Baltimore Ravens fan, they have memorabilia for you and cater to those fans when they're playing in London. I don't remember the names of the other two we met (owners/managers?) but they were very nice and chatted with us for a while. They had a steady flow of customers come and go while we were there but it was early yet so not crowded.

I went in 2 different times: saturday at 3pm and wednesday at 10am. Two completely different vibes. I tried the famous sandwich from the black pig, viral chocolate covered strawberries and bread ahead. Black pig - the best one sandwich: it was AMAZING!!! I was a bit scared to get this since i was by myself but let me tell you, it was not heavy as i expected it to be. Just delicious overall and would totally recommend. Chocolate strawberries: I love strawberries and chocolate but definitely think you can find cheaper alternatives anywhere in london. Bread Ahead: my new favorite pastry place. I pretty much got a donut from this place (not this location) everyday because the black currant cheesecake donut was that good. I got the tiramisu and crème brûlée donut which my brother liked and i wish i could've tasted them before they went bad but anyways, I would totally recommend the donuts from here! Their chocolate chips cookies are HUGE and delicious as well. This was probably one of my favorite markets!

We've only been for brunch, which was fabulous: generous full English with sausage, bacon, black pudding, two perfectly fried eggs, and toast; ham Benedict; streaky bacon; and eggs bread with half a caramelized banana and salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Service was excellent and attentive. The seating in the back is a little tight; seats along the middle will get bumped by every server and diner who pass by. The view is of a back alley. But that food! We only wish we had found it sooner so we could have eaten there more often. Prices seem quite low for the quality of the food. Highly recommended, well worth a trip to Bermondsey from anywhere in London.

This spot has a lot of potential, but three stars because I feel it has a bit of work to get there…read more We ordered the turnip hummus with truffle and flatbread. The hummus was wonderful, very smooth and silky, however there was not nearly enough flatbread for the hummus given. It was inevitable that we would have to ask for more flatbread, would have just been nice if it came with more pieces, at least 4 (came with 2). The blackened cauliflower was what I was most excited about, but while the tahini sauce was lovely, the cauliflower was just a tad above room temperature and not cooked enough. I ordered the celeriac option and the staff was super nice about accommodating my vegan diet; however, the kitchen forgot to leave out the egg and I pierced it by accident. Not great. The veggie broth in the dish was delicious, but celeriac was kind of dead, drenched in it. Would have also been nice for the dish to have a grain or bean for some substance. We had the brownie and banana bread for dessert. The brownie was nice as it was warm out of the oven - the banana bread was pretty disappointing and the pistachio cream on it was way too dense. Again, a lot of potential, but a lot to work on before getting to 4 stars in my books.
