In London for a week this last Summer the honey and I stopped into this location of Amorino - which was the second Amorino we visited during our stay. I ordered the crisp mint chip again (which was my favorite from our first visit) and the honey picked the mango. Although we enjoyed both visits - to be honest we enjoyed the ice cream in France and Ireland more. All in all, while the service was helpful and prompt, I definitely think this location is just overall weaker than the Goodge Street space and I'd probably choose that location to visit first.
What's not to love about gelato?! Wanted to try this place in Italy but happy to see it here in London. Great selection of flavors. Not only can you get gelato but also affogatos with a flavor of gelato or your choice! Went here a few times lol. I enjoyed the hazelnut chocolate! Very accommodating for food allergies as much as they can. Excellent customer service! A small cup was about 5 euros and you can mix in 2 flavors if desired. Good portion sizes. The gelato is smooth, creamy, and taste amazing! The affogato was also a hit. I tried espresso with vanilla gelato. Just wow! I have nothing in Italy to compare it to as I forgot to try it there. However, this was great. The sweet smooth, creamy vanilla gelato coating the "bitter" espresso was a perfect match.
Within eye shot of Windsor Castle, on Peascod St, this is a great stop for the family for a sweet treat. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with warm light and wood that immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel welcome. Next comes the display case of a wide assortment of gelato flavors and macaroons. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They also have coffee and Italian hot chocolate so this could be your one stop shop. If you walk by and are drawn inside, just go with it, you won't be disappointed.
I was craving gelato so much after dinner, and when I was walking around the area I saw people eating gelato everywhere but I didn't know where they were getting it from. Then I stumbled upon Amorino, which was fantastic. I ordered the coconut gelato and it was just what I needed to satisfy my craving. It was creamy, soft, not too sweet, and just delicious. If I lived around the area, I'd come here often

Plus, I have a major sweet tooth so there was no way I was going turn it down when my fiancé made the suggestion. I ordered a regular cone and he got the regular cup. We thought it was 3 flavors each but they told us we could have as many flavors as we wanted. I chose tiramisu, coffee, specaloos and chocolate. Another reason we came here was because of the pictures I saw on Yelp. Even though I don't usually get cones, I opted for one this time because I wanted the flower gelato. Where else am I going to get gelato shaped like a flower? I know it only looked like a flower for 10 seconds but at least I experienced it
Tried Amorino on Saturday. Wait, it was actually Sunday morning, because I got there at 12:20am. They're open until 1am, which is awesome for a night out in Soho. There is a nice selection of sorbet, and the chocolate sorbet tastes like full fat ice cream - it's lovely for me because I'm lactose intolerant! I'm not even a big fan of chocolate, but that sorbet is fantastic! My only complaint is that the space is pretty small.
want no limit on gelato flavors? CHECK do you want staff who would take the time to make your gelato into a beautiful flower? CHECK do you want a gelato shop that stays opened late? CHECK do you want a gelato shop that has a lot of great flavors? CHECK goodness, all i gotta say its a solid 5 stars. i didn't even bother asking them to sample anything. i was just way too excited to get my creation and devour it. now don't get me wrong once i got it i hesitated a bit because i got so many flavors that i wasn't sure how it would all mesh together. but once i licked that thing it was SOOOOOO GOOOOOD! i was in gelato heaven! i ordered pistacho, coconut, cherry, raspberry, and carmel. and this yelper had no regret of my flavor choices. it was darn good! i highly recommend you coming here if you are a gelato lover! it's worth every penny and will totally make your day/night! so don't hesitate! tips: *there's different size options: small 3.50, regular 4.50, large 5.80 = cones small 3.50, regular 4.50, large 5.80, extra large 7.50, grandissimo 9.50 = cup *they sell macaroons, waffles, coffee, tea, milkshake, crepe, etc. as well.
I was craving gelato/ice cream and found this place. They let me try multiple flavors before I selected what I wanted. I got a small: - black cherries - mint chocolate chip I didn't realize you could get as many flavors (they recommend 4) in any size. I tried the tiramisu flavor and really liked it!! However, after informing them of my peanut/tree nut allergy they told me the tiramisu had nuts... thank god I was fine after consuming the sample. read more

Search Yelp for a Macaroon Spot and it sent us here. The decor and ambiance of this spot was so welcoming and inviting. Not to mention the aroma of all the different flavors. The store was very clean and the customers service was very patient with my 11 years who couldn't decide what gelato to get, so they literally let her sample everything until she finally found the one!!! It was so good and so close to our hotel that she wanted it every night. read more

It was a nice day to try gelato and this place does not disappoint. The selection of gelatos were amazing. We ended getting an extra large with pistachio, mint and chocolate. It was very refreshing and similar to to Rome if not better. read more

Wow was I happy to find this place - I was craving some delicious gelato and that is exactly what I found here. It was very difficult to figure out what kind of gelato to pick but I settled on vanilla with chocolate chunks and mint chip - both the fanciest kind of variation of course! I also got a vanilla macaroon - super unique with vanilla gelato in the middle that melted in your mouth! All was so yummy with chunks of dark chocolate. Service was efficient and the small size was heaping. Those next to me received theirs in cones and it looked like a beautiful flower. I will be back! read more

I hope my future bridesmaids are ok with holding a gelato bouquet. Love the variety of options and the beautiful ice cream roses that they make here. I tried talking to the guy when he was shaping the petals and it was an awkward experience since he didn't reply to me. I love how you can choose as many flavors as you want for your rose. They also have exotic flavors like lemon glass, coconuts, passion fruits, etc. I'm excited to check out their other locations. read more

Aaaaahhhhh it was a hot summers day walking around Soho and ice cream was much needed and boy did Amorino deliver! You pay by the cone and you can have as many flavours as you like as it isn't measured in scoops. The ice cream is presented like a flower instead! I chose the medium sized cone at £4.50 and opted for coconut, salted caramel and chocolate hazelnut flavours and all of them were great! I'm definitely coming back here! read more
With an decent selection of amazingly creamy full of flavor gelato, Amorino is worth every penny. And they sure pack your cup or cone to the brim for that penny. The only thing that I found odd about this place was the ordering system. You picked what you wanted in terms of cup size or cone. Doesn't matter the flavors or what have you first, then you move over to see the selections and and taste them and pick what you want. This isn't that great if you haven't had it before or don't know exactly what you want because since you already paid you can't go down a cup size, or get more than one flavor, or change to wanting a cone. But since I was having gelato outside of the States (the only place gelato is any good) I couldn't complain. read more
This place is open late. In fact I remember coming here one time just shy of midnight in a hurry after a meal. My friends begging for a sweet treat so I remembered to come here right in heart of soho. This gelato place has an authentic selection of ice cream that is hand made and damn tasty. I got two mixed scoops. 'Dulce de Leche' (caramel) mixed with 'Stracciatella' (choc chip) was damn good. They let us mill around in small foyer before they closed properly and it's a great late night post meal treat. Not the friendliest of staff but I suppose it's a long day, and we barged our way happily in seeing it still open. Defo will come back to try more flavours. Most of my friends got regular sizes or pots while I got a large cone. To be honest there is not much difference in size so you can get the smaller one. The quality is still there to see or should I say taste though. read more
All the sorbets (including the mousse-like chocolate one) are dairy and egg free! The lovely lass behind the counter busted out the allergy book and even double checked the chocolate for me. Bonus- you can choose as many flavours as you like to be scooped into your cup! I usually skip sorbets. I want something decadent! But I must say the strawberry sorbet certainly did have that creamy rather than icy consistency that I enjoy. And the chocolate! My goodness me! Even my OmniMonkey stopped in his tracks as he tried it and proclaimed "WOW!" That is always a stamp of approval to me =) I'm often around Soho, so it's great to know there is a convenient place for me to get a fix! read more
What do you do after you walk past the newly opened Smack Lobster in soho and got yourself some free lobster sandwich? Guess no more, I got ICE CREAM. Not just any ice cream. Ice cream with as many flavours as you like they will try to squeeze it on top of the cone and shape it into a rose. SCORE! Gelato is lovely, service is lovely. The shop was packed with Chinese people (good sign) and tourists (hit and miss sign - but I will tell you this is also a good sign for this shop). You should definitely check this place out in our fleeting glorious British summer!!! read more
Excellent gelato and wonderful presentation! My daughter, wife and I each had some gelato - my wife got gelato with the macaroon, and we all thought it was excellent! The gelato in cones was served looking like a flower, which was awesome! Employees were friendly and the gelato was served with a smile. Highly recommended! read more

Here's the place to go for a perfect gelato in a warm summer day. They even allow you to mix as many flavors as you want even with a single cone/cup. I happened to come across this place on my walk in soho and the place looks promising with their gelato bar looking all colorful and enticing. Ask for a spoon to try the flavors first before deciding on what you would like to have. I had pistachio, caffe, and chocolate flavors and they all tasted so good. The cafe comes with coffee shaped chocolates. I ordered a hot cappuccino but it didn't appeal as much as the ice creams. So my high review is for the gelato, and you can have better coffee someplace else. read more

And my first Yelp review goes to ....drum roll... yes AMORINO - you beauty. Old Compton Street has some treasures and this is one of them, particularly for those gelato fans out there. L'inimitabile - absolute decadence and the flavour of choice whenever I frequent Amorino - and by frequent I mean I am the DUKE here :) - and have been reigning supreme for quite some time now. So if you like a mixture of hazelnut and chocolate l'inimitabile is for you. However they do all sorts here, the pistachio, almond, dark chocolate, all of it is ridiculously good. They even have an assortment of fruity flavours that can be popular but I find a little overly sweet. It's an easy find, and if you have just had a massive meal in soho and are looking for dessert - this your place ! read more

Delicious icecream. Pick as many flavors as can fit...but grumpy staff. Refuse to accept cash even thought the girl behind me in queue had exact change. Poor school girl was very upset because they pedantically decided cards only. Claiming it was because they had no change. BS! They obviously just didn't want to have to deal with it at closing. Serving lady was rude about it and ruined what should have been a fun experience getting flower icecream at night....& as she was so busy fighting also messed up flavors of my icecream and snapped at me when I reminded her I had requested raspberry sorbet...grudgingly added it but gave me mostly vanilla and no lemon sorbet as also requested & said "you should ask before I finish" -- which I had twice but she was too busy yelling at the queue it was credit card only. Good product. Bad service. I didn't get the flavors I wanted and requested. I did leave in a bad mood - and with a disappointing dessert read more

The workers here are so nice! They're very patient and let you try as many flavors as you want, until you decide what you want to put on your final gelato order (well, first you have to pay...). I ended up getting 5 flavors: tiramisu, chocolate, some sort of chocolate chip thing (that's what it looked like, I don't know the name...sorry!), strawberry, and amarena (yogurt with berries). They were all delicious and mixed well together. Also I never get cones...unless I'm at Amorino (the first time I tried it was in Paris). Do it for the rose! :D There's also a few tables inside and outside for sitting. There's also macarons, waffles, crepes, tea, and coffee offered here. And free water. If you have 5 pounds left and can't afford dinner and dessert, skip dinner and come here. read more

Are you kidding me? How can you not love this place! Ever since I stumbled upon this place while watching happy customers outside taking pictures of their beautiful and delicate rose shaped ice creams, it's been my favorite ice cream ever since. Firstly, the customer and employee interactions was among the finest! The employees are so friendly and happy to help you taste their flavors and to encourage you that you can choose as many flavors as you want for your flower ice cream. Secondly, the gelato itself is incredibly rich and tasty! I love pistachio and Nutella and more honestly. Thirdly, the product of your unique rose gelato made personally for you based on your own preferences for one reasonable price and a beautiful outcome. Yes this place is amazing. And now they've just opened one in Los Angeles and oh I can't wait for that as well. read more

I stumbled onto this palce after dinner and we went in, wanting to satisfy our sweet tooth. Décor: Classy gelato place. 3 tables inside, so if they're full, tough luck (we went in the winter so I don't know about their outside seating) Service: I know it's a gelato place, but I think the way my group looked lost or unsure put them off a bit so they weren't smiling or even inviting when I ordered or asked questions... Food: I got the ice cream stuffed brioche with coffee and some other flavour. This was all put into a hot pancake-like thing and while it was good, I felt a bit misled. I've had brioche before and instead of tasting like brioche.. this reminded me of more like the fruitcake that everyone gives to each other for Christmas but noone actually eats (the pancetta or something?) So it had that flavour and a more pancake-y type of texture. It was good, but not by any means terrific because it was weird eating coffee ice cream with a fruity crepey outside.. What I WISH I got was the mango ice cream. Ohhhhh, my friend got that and it was SO GOOD. And if I had known my 'brioche' was going to be fruity flavoured, I would have stuck with fruitier ice cream. Bottom Line: Though I wasn't 100% satisfied only because of the mismatch of my expectations and such, I would actually come back here because the gelato quality is very good! read more
