My friend and I happened to walk by this shop after we had dinner in Soho and decided to check it out. I'm more of a creamy, fatty ice cream girl--but my friend likes frozen yogurt more, so my sweet tooth was also game for this, too. The name and slogans are pretty catchy. "Snoggers like it on top"! I mean, how can you miss something like that? ;) The decor is simple but cute, and they promote their treats as healthy with no fat or artificial sweeteners or coloring. I tried a little mango Snog with a topping of blueberries. When they were making my order, they asked if I wanted sauce on top, so I went for caramel--my favorite--but I guess it was kind of a weird combo with the mango and blueberries. But the sauce was free... so why not. ;) At £3.65, this stuff ain't cheap. But it was tart and tasty and cool to check out. Kind of reminded me of Pinkberry back in the day. A sinful Snog down Soho way? Go on then! The frozen yoghurt phenomenon has finally hit central London with the recent opening of a branch of Snog Pure Frozen Yoghurt on Brewer Street. Snog is one of those new breeds of cutesy businesses, a bit like Innocent, and it was evidenced by the little pink van with Beep if You Like Snogging on the side outside the shop. Snog do three basic flavours Chocolate, Green Tea and Natural and the toppings; fresh fruit, cookies, nuts, granola, brownies... brownies? I went for a Little size of Chocolate with brownie topping... oh come on it's fat free! The frozen yoghurt is sweetened with Agave nectar (?) and boasts itself to have no fat, no artificial sweetners, low in calories and probiotic. Forget about that, you want to know what it tastes like, right? Like your first kiss at the local disco, Snog ticks all the right boxes, but might leave you feeling a little unsatisfied. On a blind taste test I would probably identify it as chocolate, but there is a strong kick of that lightly sour natural yoghurt taste. No way would you confuse this stuff with real ice cream. The mini brownies were fab though, moist and nutty. Snog's prices might give you second thoughts in these recessionary times. Sizes go from Little to Massive with cheapest being £3.55 for a Little with 1 topping and priciest: Massive with 4 toppings £9.90. Doubt even I could manage almost ten pounds worth of ice cream but I'll definitely be back to try the other two flavours. read more

Not the most appealing of names, but the name doesn't do it justice. Walking around Soho on a midweek evening, taking in the colourful neon signs we decided to check out Snog for a desert. Snog. I hadn't said that word out loud since year 7, and it just didn't sound right out loud in 2015. Despite this hurdle, I battled through it. Snog (shudder) is a frozen yogurt business which combines flavoured frozen yogurt with various toppings. We went for strawberries, dark chocolate and pineapple. Top the whole thing off with chocolate sauce and you have yourself a desert. Snog is in Soho, so it's obviously unavoidable that it is surrounded by a 100% legit massage parlour, a gay sex shop and an erotic book/dvd store. I am not one to judge, but this isn't the most picturesque of locations for an after dinner dessert with mon amour. Having said that, it was fun to people watch. Observing the street-walker approach business men on their way home to their families was interesting. Watching the guys on the corner cat calling every single woman was sad to see though. Wow! It really does taste like ice cream, and you don't get any of the heavy stomach feeling, no matter how much you eat. This place is open until midnight, it's very conveniently located, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Forget having a desert at whatever restaurant you are at. Go for a stroll and wander into this place. The only drawback is that there is not a lot of seating. It's more of a takeaway place when it gets busy. We went quite late on a Monday (maybe Tuesday?) night so it was pretty empty and we could sit down and "snog". read more

Effortlessly cool, Snog is an awesome place to visit and it's a virtually untapped resource in Soho (so keep it under your hat). There's no need to over-sell this bad boy. The interior is made up on bright fluorescent lights and you can't help but feel you're on display, but it doesn't bother you as you indulge in the delicious frozen yoghurt deliciousness. There are three different flavours to choose from; Green Tea, Chocolate and everyone's favourite, Natural. For first timers I would recommend the Natural option. Toppings vary from fresh fruit to simply a cookie wedged in the side. Any combo is good, and I would thoroughly recommend getting involved in the Snog special where you can get a medium sized natural with 3 flavours (£4.25) I would usher you towards a really fatty option like oreo cookies, brownie pieces and some strawberries. Gimme my fro-yo, mo-fo! I had a little pot of pink guava frozen yoghurt topped with a generous helping of blueberries. Was tasty indeed and just what I needed on this freakishly warm September afternoon. I wasn't, however, blown away by the service. I took the bored stare and raising of eyebrows to mean "Hello there - what can I get you?", after ordering he handed me my cup while looking in the other direction talking to someone so my "Thank you" fell on deaf ears. Still, I wasn't there for the conversation, I was there for the frozen delights and the main thing is my fro-yo was tasty and the blueberries were fresh. The best thing about snog is the uber cool ceiling lights that calmly transitions between rainbow colours...ahh. In fact, that was the only reason that enticed us to go here. And that's possibly the only reason I'd go back. The frogurts were nice but the toppings were so sparse!! £3.55 for a little cup with one topping you'd think they'd be a bit generous! I've had frozen yogurt from various places although this was the coolest place it wasn't the nicest - a few extra toppings and a small dip in prices is all that's needed. The red neon shines across the street from Soho's Original Bookshop (DVD extra xxx downstairs). The rainbow bulbs growing from the ceiling leading to many sweet dreams... The Soho location on Brewer St. (corner of Rupert) is a great spot for post dinner. My sweet taste bud was regained because of the Snog - organic yogurt and organic skimmed miked sweetened with organic agave nectar. This place is like Marmite, you either get it or you don't - no muddling middle ground. Snog is a verbatim version of LA's Pinkberry (with the addition of a chocolate flavour option). And for those Yelpers who didn't get it... well, there's a reason this particular FroYo concept had bleached blondes queuing across SoCal... the tart, expensive yogurt is tailored for healthy and weight-conscious types who need a frozen treat, but shudder just looking at full-fat Haagen Dazs. The reassurance of "fat free!" "low calorie!" and "healthy healthy healthy" is what you're paying a premium for. Personally, I'm a fan. I like the sour "real" yogurt bite (and especially the Green Tea) but I also love things like broccoli and tofu - so you know, anything with an uber healthy flavour isn't going to turn me off. Only complaint is the skimpiness of the toppings... come on! A mere 5 raspberries? That's a little absurd.... I think you have to be a fan of frozen yoghurt in the first place to enjoy what they have to offer. Being a Londoner, I'm not familiar with FroYo so I gave it a go. What was the harm in that? Gak! Gak! What is this bitter horrible tasting chocolate monstrosity I have allowed to pass my lips?! I hated the taste to be honest, and at £3.55 per pot, Haagen Dazs is cheaper. And you can probably buy one get one free in Sainsbury's or Tesco's. My sister had the green tea with mango as a topping and she was familiar with the bitter taste but still rated Nando's as better than this. If Snog really want to survive in these times, it needs to scale back the prices and the portions (did anyone notice the limited edition bracelets near the till for £20?!) and start serving a better selection of toppings. I hate to say on my first Yelp review but I disagree. Having sampled all three flavours they vary from passable (Classic), to not very nice (Chocolate), to horrid (Green Tea). The prices are ridiculous, and that's comparing to other places in Soho or even famous ice cream places like Marine Ices. £4.25 for a Natural Classic with 2 toppings (Strawberries & Raspberries), was an insult. 4 small raspberries, and 1 1/2 overripe and/or tasteless strawberries, I know milk and fruit prices are suffering from inflation but that's just silly. And as Linzi mentioned on my visit the lightly sour natural yoghurt taste was overwhelming. As a massive frozen Yogurt fan who works two minutes away I would like to think this was a bad day, but I had made that mistake the day earlier, falling to the fate of a Green Tea Classic with Mochi. This was wrong from the outset, it was more citrus than Green Tea, and as a colleague suggested tasted artificial. If you're in Soho and craving Frozen Yogurt run away from Snog, Only a couple of blocks away there is decent frozen yogurt at itsu on Wardour Street (103). The portions are slightly smaller but infinitely better and cheaper. A Fruitful at £2.79 had really tasty strawberries, blueberries and pomegranate on top, to the extent that it make some kind of effort to cover the yogurt rather than acting as a Snog style Garnish. My first snog was with Cindy, and was only gonna get a 3. My second was with Linzi and gets a 4. The toppings were disappointingly lacking the first time I went there, which resulted in basically 2/3 of the frozen yogurt being just plain ol' frozen yogurt. The second time, I ordered 2 different toppings, and got quite a bit more of both than I had previously. Clearly, I shall have to experiment as to whether that was because I ordered more, or because they've taken into consideration how people were feeling about topping amounts. It really is, however, just what it sounds like. As per what Cindy said, it's literally frozen yogurt, with toppings. You could make it yourself. I, for one, am FAR too lazy for that. Awesome designs with the toppings is something I came to appreciate after venturing to Snog. Only here did they use to take the time to artistically place the strawberries and mangos on my yogurt. I absolutely love frozen yogurt, so after having lived in California for a while I was ecstatic to have found a place in London. But, compared, to other places I have been to snog is not that great. They only have 4 flavors (green tea, chocolate, natural, and one more) and they have a somewhat bitter taste to them... but they do have mochi as a topping when i just thought I was never gonna find it. I will probably go back just to satisfy my graving, but if I had a better option I would move on. Additionally, its a bit pricey at around 4 quid for a small. I wish they had golden spoon, yogurtland or pinkberries! But the interior of snog is really cool and makes you feel like you're in Japan if you ignore the mostly Spanish staff. read more

I had a really strong craving for froyo and ventured out central London to satisfy it. After reading reviews I settled on Snog. Now I'm used to froyo where you serve yourself and pay per 100g. This place you pretty much just pick the size of the cup and how many toppings. Not really what I was craving, and I felt rushed to pick what I wanted. £5.95 for a fairly decent sized serving, but I was disappointed I couldn't pick more of what I wanted and how much. Oh silly people, if you don't like frozen yoghurt, you're obviously not going to like Snog. But that means you should probably go write a review for frozen yoghurt, not a review for Snog. It's your own silly fault that you walked in the door expecting ice cream or whatever overly sweet, fatty ice creamy dairy queeny business that you expected. I'll admit, the prices are a little steep but then again, this is soho. I wouldn't really call £5 an "indulgence" and even a small pot with two toppings (which is less than £5) is enough to fill me up and leave me extremely pleased with life. It's a brightly colored, cheerful place where you can sit and stare at the hypnotic ceiling lights for hours while hanging out in a cool neighborhood and snacking on some legit (proper) frozen yoghurt. A great snack for the performance! And SNOG is the BEST frozen yogurt in London. The quality is amazing, the staff are friendly and engaged...and the entire environment from lighting to the tables provide a wonderful fun and buzzy atmosphere to Snog ;-) This particular Snog isn't as good as the other snogs (otherwise I would have provided 5 stars), though it's well positioned in SOHO...so I provide my full recommendation :-) Personally, I think it's best value in getting the bigger size and loading on as much fruit piece as possible...though I haven't heard any bad reports from the other tops...so go wild and snog! read more

As far as refreshing frozen yogurt goes, Snog is delish. I took a star away not because it was poor quality but because there was a bit of lack in variety of yogurt flavors and toppings, lets just say i've seen better (although it was in a different country). If you've had this breed of fro-yo than yo know that it is tangy and refreshing a perfect summer treat to be accompanied with some fresh fruit toppings. there are a couple of tables and chairs around if you'd like to leisurely eat your froyo and people watch. In all likelihood, I will end up here again for a pricey low calorie snack in the summer. read more

Tried a Snog Special consisting of a Classic Snog (210g of yogurt) and three toppings for £4.75 (a saving of 45p). I opted for a dark chocolate base (109 calories, though 109 calories per what, they don't say) with toppings of raspberries, blackberries and superfood, just to make myself feel better). The serving was huge. And yes, the yogurt does have a faint chocolate-y taste. Not quite like the strong taste you'd get from ice-cream, but it's there. And I do like the combination of toppings I've chosen. The right mix of tart and crunchy. Hmmm-mmm! I love how Snog is decorated. It's perky and cheerful. Must be because of all the bright pink, the disco-ey lights, and the pictures of bunnies and grass. One annoying thing though is that the lights tend to flash when switching from one colour to another. It's a little disconcerting especially if you're eating in rather than having your Snog to go. Snog isn't at all cheap though. At £3.50 for the smallest serving, it's a little on the expensive side, although, yes, one does have to pay for location and maintenance of all those lights. read more

Unfortunately the prices are much too steep for what I get, even though it is a greater serving than what I would get in the States, it's not always worth it. Even though the place has a lovely design (but not enough seats!) and there are many toppings that you can choose from (and they aren't particularly stingy about serving).... This place reminds me of Red Mango. Red Mango is a pretty popular franchise in the states, right behind Pinkberry. The yogurt had a great texture and it wasn't too sweet.
