GRECO is a wonderful option to consider if you're looking for a quick yummy lunch or just a quick bite! Today we went to this location in Seaport, but they also have 4 other locations in MA & 2 locations in Washington DC (one on the way!). GRECO first started in Back Bay, on Newbury St then expanded over the years & actually the owner is behind two other great Greek establishments I've heard lovely things about, Krasi in Back Bay & Bar Vlaha in Brookline! We ordered the chicken gyro & the pork gyro to try, as well as one Bikos Cola & one Vikos Cola (essentially Diet Coke). I really liked the Greek colas, very good flavor & carbonation. As for the gyros, the chicken gyro came w/ honey mustard sauce instead of tzatziki, which was in the pork one. After trying both, I'd say I prefer the chicken one more. The pork was definitely a bit dry also. In terms of size of the gyros compared to other Greek establishments I've tried in Boston, they seemed to be smaller in portion because typically I have a hard time finishing gyros fully in one sitting but I finished this one w/ ease. Overall, I can see this being a good lunch option if you're nearby & I can see myself coming back to try their donuts!! Parking: it's much easier to get street parking in Seaport during morning & lunch hours compared to later on in the day.

Greco begins with a traditional take on Mediterranean with a fresh twist and an atmosphere that is as bright and relaxing as that part of the world, even with a life-sized olive tree on the walls. We enjoyed both the kababs and shawarma. The rice is fantastic and we tried their custom drinks which were refreshing an enjoyable. The pita is soft and a good accompaniment to the fresh hummus, which is just the way we like it. We would come back for sure. This was our first time so the staff was helpful as we made our choices. We noticed that there were many, many to-go orders that were picked up as we were dining and the drivers were quickly given their orders, they were even kind to a rather rude driver as he picked up his order. I was impressed.

Popped in for lunch because our other spot was closed, but we are happy we did! Located right by pier 4, we walked in minutes before the flood of people coming for lunch! Quick and easy order of the: + classic pork + tzatziki meats were tender, but wish it was hotter. fries could have been crispier a great Gryo! + truly Greek chicken the honey mustard slapped on this! Enjoyed my ladies gyro more than mine haha. I thought the portions were just right for us, they have the meats already cut from the rotisserie and slapped together our gyros efficiently and quickly! There's a reason they have so many locations! Only tidbit i would say is i wish the meats/fries were hotter. I get it though, can't be hand cutting off the rotisserie every order during rush hour. Place was super clean, ample seating. There is also a kiosk you could order from and wait for your order to be called when ready!

Very cool Mediterranean place with an average selection of veggie options. The food tasted fine, I just wish there were more vegetarian-friendly protein choices other than plant-based meat. Overall a very roomy and modern aesthetic and the food was ready within 10 minutes. The wrap I ordered did begin to leak the second I picked it up, but no worries I just re-wrapped it.

This is a solid place to grab a semi-fast meal. It's basically counter serve with a mobile and contactless ordering option. I got the chicken souvlaki plate which came with 1 stick of nicely tender and roasty chicken over a bed of tzaziki, cucumber salad, and fries along with several pieces of pita. Fries were freshly fried and tasty. It delivers as expected. Prices are also as expected for the boston seaport area.

Great lunch today. This place is super clean, all the staff were polite and fast and very appreciative. Great salad with a chicken skewer. I also enjoyed the Greek ice coffee. Nice open and bright seating area. Very reasonable pricing as well.

Greco is a fast casual Greek restaurant. Their menu includes Greek pitas, plates, salads, skewers, and desserts. I like to order their lamb platter (includes pita bread and a side), bifteki (ground beef) pita which includes fries, or the lamb chop feast which comes with 3 pieces of lamb, salad, fries, and pita bread. If you have a large group, the mixed grill or souvlaki platter are good combination meals that have a little bit of everything. The meat is tender, well seasoned, and packs a lot of flavor. The service here is good. The employees were nice and friendly. We asked for sauce on the side and they gave us two large sauce containers of spicy feta and tzatziki. Our food was ready within 5 minutes or so and they brought it out to our table. There are free water cups by the cash register. It's still around Christmas so they had plenty of Christmas decorations including wreaths, snowmen, and mini Christmas trees around. They also painted on the walls a realistic tree and had library decorations with a ladder near the back. They have separate male and female bathrooms that are just outside the restaurant that were clean. Parking can be tough since it's seaport but there is some street parking and some garages nearby. Overall, Greco is good choice is you're in Seaport looking for some healthy fast food at an affordable price.

Bright spot in a quieter part of Seaport, right next to the Institute of Contemporary Art. This was my second time here and I enjoyed my meal. We came right after they opened on Saturday around 11 and were the only ones there. The space is light and airy, and has a good amount of seating. The service was friendly and we watched as they put together our food. We both ordered pork pita wraps, but for some reason, mine was more filled than the other. Regardless, it tasted nice and fresh. You can even see the meat spinning around in the back.

I stopped by after Fridays at the ICA. I ordered a lamb pita with honey mustard sauce and baklava. At first glance, my pita looked dry before I checked out so the kind server agreed to drizzle more sauce on top for me. The lamb was tender and the pita was overall delicious! I left feeling full. I took a bite of the baklava and it was sweet, dripping with honey. I ended up saving the rest and bringing the leftovers home. I spent about $25 for this late night meal but it was worth it!

Love love love Greco! I always look forward to it when I am in town for work. This year I went twice! I always get the pork souvlaki plate with either one or two and then I get extra fries instead of the salad. I also tried the halloumi with hot honey this year, delicious. Service is usually quick and the staff has always been friendly. I can't wait to be back!

Mag T.

Placed a togo order for the beef plate and based off photos I was expecting a plump beef patty. What i got was extremely thin beef. The zucchini chips did not come with tzatziki dip. I asked the worker for a fork as they were behind the counter. He points to them and says they are right there. There were forks and napkins next to the register that I didn't see. It was rude because if you are packing a togo order utensils and napkins should come in the bag. All of the Food was extremely SALTY. Very disappointed with this experience.

First timer, let's see if it'll win me over!

Justice B.

Went back for a visit today, and even brought 3 colleagues along. The food was good, mostly everyone enjoyed, but the service was a little off putting. Everyone has their days, but I can't justify waiting over 20 minutes for a side of halloumi and I'm confident if I didn't get up to request it again, I would've never gotten the rest of my order. Staff wasn't friendly, you can observe they weren't the best team for each other. After this experience, not sure if I'll be back, but if I am I won't bring friends with me. I work in service as well, and understand neglecting the needs of your customers can be detrimental to your business.

Navya V.

This was a great place to stop by to grab food after a long drive. The souvlaki feast is filling for 3! It has a combo of chicken and lamb skewers with pita bread and fries to eat it with. Even after grabbing the to go dish and eating this in the hotel room, it held up pretty well. The halloumi pita was tasty and saucy.

Haley wanted to order from GreCo, don't each much Greek food but gave it a try anyways! We ordered delivery, arrived in Southie super quickly from the seaport. I ordered a chicken Greco classic, which came with chicken / onions / hand cut potatoes. Surprisingly the combination worked, very tasty on a nice flatbread pita. Tastes were solid, flatbread held together extremely well, and was a great portion. Also ordered a side of fries, very good as well. Haley also enjoyed her sandwich and ordered a salad to eat later on as well. Overall, enjoyed the food and would order again. Probably would need to be in the mood for Greek to order again, couldn't eat everyday. 4/5! read more

Nice atmosphere nice but was disappointed with what I ordered. I ordered the chicken plate and I did not get full. It being a plate, I would've thought it came with more of a base like rice at least. Even with the fries that came with it as a side, I was still somewhat hungry afterwards. I did not expect to have to consider ordering another side to be full. Food tasted good though. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and thankfully I finally got around to it. I got the veggie pita and my mind was blown. The falafel-like zucchini fritter is the best falafel-like item I've ever tasted and will taste (most likely unless I go to the middle east). We also got the yaya donuts and once again - mind blown. They were so warm, chocolatey, and amazing. I am 100% going back to eat the same food soon. Highly recommend. read more

Fantastic fast casual lunch/dinner option with 3 locations in Boston. The veggie pita wrap is so tasty, especially the squash fritter filling. Others in my group loved the bisteki and vegan wraps. The plate option is more expensive (~$12), but well worth it for the amount of food you get. Open for takeout during COVID19. Would highly recommend this place. read more

As many others have noted, this is basically a Greek chipotle, but with much better ambiance and ALCOHOL options (wine and beer). What an excellent spot for a causal meal or a date! The most common ways to order include plate (meat/non-meat main, sauce, side, pita), a pita wrap, or a salad. They have a wide range of options (including a number of vegetarian and meat) and hot as well as cold. The hot was definitely needed in the this extremely windy area of the seaport today. My only wish is that the plate would come with an option of two sauces rather than just one. While we were enjoying our meals, one of the staff came around with complimentary warm Loukoumades - a type of Greek doughnut - covered in Nutella. One person in our our party had an allergy, so he made her a nut-free version! Definitely 5 stars for the service. read more

Went for lunch while in Boston for work. The line right around noon was very long, but it moved quickly. I chose a build-your-own salad that had a Kos salad base and I added pork (very greasy, but decent flavor) and spicy feta (delicious). Overall, my favorite part of the meal was the warm pita (the best) with the spicy feta - highly recommend both. Also, I loved the decor inside - bright white space with a number of seating options and overall aesthetically pleasing. read more

This place is fabulous!! Everything about it! The lamb chop plate and zucchini chips are my favorite, but I also love the chicken gyro, I think it's the best in town, so authentic! If it's cheat day then I'm definitely having the bougatsa loukoumades (had to check the menu for the spelling lol), little donuts of heaven with delightful custard (not too sweet), phyllo and cinnamon (they should really sell that custard and grocery stores, it's sooo good!!). One word: YUM! We decided to head here for lunch and ordered the chicken gyro, zucchini chips, and Greco fries. The gyro was soo tasty. Whatever sauce they put inside the gyro was amazing and added to the flavor. It was the perfect amount of peta, to tomato, to chicken, to fries. With every bite I found myself saying this is so tasty! The zucchini chips were also great. They had the perfect crunch and the tzitziki sauce was to die for. My boyfriend normally hates any vegetable but tried the zucchini chips and loved them too! The Greco fries were also very tasty and had the perfect amount of flavoring. The woman behind the counter was also extremely friendly and helpful. She made some recommendations on the drink options they provide and mentioned how they all are authentic to Greece. The Classic Pork Gyro is better than the lamb. As far as the Dips with Pita, the charred eggplant is the best as well as the Tzatziki (skip the Spicy Feta, Greek Fava and Pepper Paprika). The Pea Protein Keftedes are fine. I was not a huge fan of the zucchini chips; nothing wrong with them they just didn't wow me like some other reviews suggested. Nice addition to the neighborhood and I am really excited they stay open past typical office hours. They also offer the convenience of ordering ahead, which is an added bonus. Their gyro is one of the best in the all of the city; its super fresh and flavor packed. I do wish they had more in the way of sides, but I get that its more efficient for them to not have too many offerings. Their doughnuts are sinfully good, so much so that I wish they weren't haha. The oreo crusted option are always a hit, but their classic with honey might be the standout. read more

Tiropita Rolls: Very straightforwardly delicious. The bread was warm, soft, and airy, with a rich aroma of butter and cheese; the spread was a rich blend of honey butter, and olives, sweet and delicious, perfect as an appetizer. Tzatziki: A slight disappointment. The cucumber and Greek yogurt spread was surprisingly heavy, a bit cloying, and the pickled kumquats weren't as sweet as I expected, but rather had a slightly bitter taste. The pita bread was thick and soft, probably better suited for dipping in soup--like Bourdeto--than for the spread. Bourdeto: The tomato fish soup was a pleasant surprise. The freshly caught grouper of the day was thick and tender, lightly seared to create a crispy crust. The broth was a vibrant, tangy tomato base, with onions, fennels, and red peppers contributing a sweet, layered flavor. Trahanas, fermented wheat and dairy, added richness and a smooth texture to the soup. The broth also had a slight spiciness, making it incredibly comforting on a chilly autumn day. Portokalopita: The dessert that elevated the entire meal. A traditional Greek orange phyllo, the cake, made from crumbs of phyllo pastry, becomes incredibly soft and moist after being soaked in orange syrup. Every bite was bursting with rich orange sweetness and fragrance, followed by a slightly bitter orange zest--perfectly balanced. Paired with Manouri cheese ice cream, the creamy flavor was incredibly rich and creamy, creating a harmonious and layered flavor profile.

I'll admit, it's a fun concept and a nice addition to the menu. The Olive Oil & Sea Salt was refreshing and had a subtle savory touch that made it different from your typical frozen yogurt. The Caramel & Pistachio was my favorite of the two, with the crunchy pistachios adding a nice texture and the caramel giving it just enough sweetness. That said, I had a hard time justifying the price. While the frozen yogurt tasted good, the serving size was fairly small, and I never really felt like I was getting $7 worth of dessert. It felt more like an Instagram-worthy upsell than something I'd go out of my way to order again. I'm glad I tried it because I was curious after seeing so many posts online, and now I can officially check it off my list. If you're already at Saloniki and want to try something a little different, I'd say it's worth ordering once just for the experience. Overall, I'd give it 3/5 stars. The kitchen did not allow a bread substitution for the sandwich we ordered, they did not do waffles at this location either, and when we got our food the portion sizes were very small. The salmon was very overpriced for how much they offered; $27 for a piece of salmon only a few inches across was insulting, but apparently that is just how it is served there (picture below, you can see the pieces of broccoli are almost as big as the fish!) The other dish we got was the chicken sandwich, which is cut into two halves. The first half was normal but there was basically no chicken on the second half of the sandwich, it was essentially all bread. We brought it up to a manager and they got us a new piece of chicken, which fit entirely alongside the old piece of chicken on the bun because it was so small. On top of that we had to wait around nearly half an hour after finishing and had to flag down a waiter to get our check and go. The service overall was very slow. I will never come back to this restaurant.

**5/5 Stars - A Culinary Delight at Greco Restaurant!** I recently flew into Boston and ordered food from Greco. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The menu offers a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary options, and each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and passion. The desserts, in particular, were heavenly--rich, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. What truly set Greco Restaurant apart, though, was the exceptional customer care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience special. It's rare to find a place where the service matches the quality of the food, but Greco Restaurant has mastered both. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines delicious food, exquisite desserts, and outstanding service, look no further than Greco Restaurant. I can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable meal. Bravo to the entire team! read more

If you're looking for a great meal, at an affordable price, look no further! We've been to the Backbay location numerous times so we're familiar and were very excited for this location to open! The food, per usually, was amazing - everything tasted fresh, delicious and was served with a smile. We order two chicken gyros with a horiatiki salad + yayas loukoumades (mini Greek doughnuts). It was all tastefully served. This location has beer and wine, which also helped add to the wonderful experience. We recommend Greco to all of our friends and family. I had an espresso martini with a delicious rim that really set the tone for the night. We started with the little necks, and the broth was incredible--easily one of the best versions of this dish I've had, and it's something we order often. I couldn't pass up the grilled octopus since it's a favorite of mine whenever it's on a menu, and this one was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and just right. My husband ordered the steak with egg, and it was cooked to perfection. He's from the Azores, so we can be pretty particular about Portuguese food, but this place truly exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back.

It's pretty difficult to find a bad experience in the North End, but we managed just that at Libertine. 1. It was very hot and humid but the air conditioning was not on. They have open half walls to the street, as many restaurants do. But other places we went had their AC on as well. I'd say it was around 85 in there because the food is being cooked in the open. If I was feeling generous, I'd say 82. At some point, it did seem to kick on maybe an hour into the meal. But it never cooled off. 2. A lovely vocalist began singing with a microphone. We recorded her at 95 decibels. The equivalent of a motorcycle. The following evening we saw her, again, in another restaurant and the microphone was not as loud and she was fine. 3. The most concerning part of the evening is that two in the party ordered non alcoholic beer. One can't have it for health reasons and the other has been sober for 35 years. As he took a giant sip, he realized it was alcohol and jumped up and ran out to spit it out. This is an unforgivable error. The waiter apologized but nothing was taken off the bill- not that this would have mattered, really. 4. The food was below average for the area.

It was like a homecooked meal made with care. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They customized the level of spice heat and ingredients on request. The Bolinhos de bacalhau were extraordinary. I normally try to to avoid fried food but I tried one and they were crunchy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, flavorful but not overly salty as they usually are. I can't say enough about the duck rice as well, it was the perfect texture, full of flavor, just fantastic. And for dessert, the Tarte de Natas again blew my mind. I've had them before but what made these special was the caramelization on top of the creaminess of the custard. They validate parking under the highway around down the street, so it's easy to park. The experience was so positive that I went back for an anniversary dinner last summer and again had a fantastic meal with great service--and a special "Happy Anniversary" menu--such a nice touch.

The tuna cru is half raw and half seared, which we didn't expect. The flavors were a little too acidic and didn't feel balanced at all. Same with the octopus carpaccio- the flavors didn't blend well and it was the tiniest amount of octopus. The seared cod was fine- the fish was tender but the green sauce tasted like nothing and the chourico felt out of place. The duck rice was maybe the best food item, though the flavors again felt unbalanced; a little too sharp instead of blending together. The sonhos were great, similar to a nice fluffy popover. The service was fine as well. If you get sparkling water, know that they will add $10 to your bill! It's a shame that the food was so meh, considering it's such a cute restaurant and would've been perfect for a date night. I think the items on their menu have potential but the recipes need to be tweaked more. Truthfully I will never go back. You should definitely check out their sister restaurant SRV though!

I am disappointed, from the very start to the end my experience was quite bad.

It is located in a busy area, which made for a livelier experience. When we arrived, we eyed some outdoor seats, so we rushed inside to order food hoping they'd still be available. I was going to order one of their pre made bowls but I couldn't resist the freedom of building my own. I went with a super green and brown rice base, harissa chicken as my protein, roasted eggplant, harissa, and crazy feta for the sides, with all the toppings, and a garlic sauce. I got a side of harissa pita chips with a green dipping sauce. It is by far one of the best lunches I have had in my life! There's just so many flavors in one bowl, and everything was very fresh. The harissa chicken is very tender and flavorful. I heard that harissa chips are going away....I am willing to sign any campaign to have them stay on the menu permanently. We did end up getting the seats outside but they really do need more chairs. I'm not sure if they get relocated to other places over time, but I think there were 8 tables (2-4 people) and 4 chairs. The prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. Their drinks are unique and good as well. We mixed a couple lemonades together, which enhanced the flavors.
