We stopped in on two occasions to have a drink during our stay. The service was impeccable. Super friendly and speedy. Even though the bar pretty much takes up most of the lobby, the space seems quite private with the small areas that are created throughout. Great staff.

There was just the right ratio of their homemade sauce, which complemented the smokey cheddar very well. 2. Over Dressed Greens -- I truly did not expect this to be one of my favorites of the night! The salad is generously mixed with their homemade white French sauce, and you could really taste the freshness of the vegetables and produce. They pickle their zucchinis, which was such a pleasant surprise because it added a crunchy texture alongside the croutons and the pickled flavor truly elevated the entire salad! 3. Jammy Eggs -- Egg yolks were cooked to perfect consistency and I loved their take on an Asian-fusion style dish with their furikake seasoning, which also gave slight crunchy texture alongside their creamy sauce that gave a hint of spiciness. 4. Szalay's Sweet Corn -- The mix of the cacio e pepe and miso aioli worked really well as the sauce for the sweet corn and gave it a creamy and savory flavor with every bite! All the cocktails we tried were very special and delicious! Their ingredients list includes unique combinations that pleasantly work for the drink. My favorite drink was "Never Too Much" and I don't even like Hennessy like that haha -- it was such a refreshing drink and the peach and lemon flavors truly was perfect for the fall season. As for service, our waitress Tate was incredibly friendly and efficient and gave us complimentary dessert due to a slight water spill during the meal. I can now fully understand the hype of this restaurant and when I come visit again, I will absolutely be back -- no questions asked!

We had…read moreexcellent service from when we were seated on-time for our reservation to when we got the check. Everything came out in a timely and well-paced manner and our server went above and beyond in providing outstanding midwestern niceness and hospitality, explaining dishes to us, engaging in conversation, answering our questions, and working with the kitchen to make some minor accommodations to the dishes. The prices were also reasonable for the portion sizes. The ambiance is an interesting, funky mix of open piping with an open kitchen concept and artwork with a nod to Cleveland. My wife and I split several dishes and were fine to outstanding; however, I am giving Cordelia four stars because several dishes were way too salty, affecting what otherwise would have been amazing dishes. My wife and I shared the following dishes: Party snacks: One of the two star dishes of the night. The bread was crispy and served as a great vehicle for the dips. The carrot muhammara, farmer's cheese, and jammy eggs were particularly good and the three snacks I would get if I were only ordering three snacks. Blooming Eggplant: The other star dish of the night, besides being unique with Michelin-caliber presentation, the fry was perfect, the sauce was good, the coating was crispy, and the eggplant well-cooked. The lemon brought everything together and provided some welcome acid. A little on the salty side but very good. Cavatelli: The cavatelli were perfectly al dente; unfortunately, the sauce was overwhelming salty and took away from the pasta. Tomatoes a la chaoshou: The tomatoes were in-season and extremely fresh. The sauce was good, if slightly salty. Ohio Green Beans: The green beans were perfectly cooked with some firmness, nicely seared, and presented well. The zhug was quite salty and detracted from the green beans, although the crunch of the pistachio was excellent. Kate's Fish: The lake walleye was fresh and the accompanying sauces were good and provided nice flavor to give body to the fish (although a bit salty). The skin needed to be crispier; overall, an OK dish but nothing distinctive. My wife and I got the dirt 'n worms and the corn ice cream with caramel sauce for dessert. The caramel sauce was good; the corn ice cream was bland and the mousse was average. I would recommend Cordelia for your next special occasion.

We arrived to be greeted by an exemplary young man serving as the valet. He was exceedingly pleasant and personable. I appreciated his marvelous attitude toward his job and our service. The young women who greeted us upon entry were very kind and efficient. We were seated immediately at a very comfortable table. Shortly thereafter, a pleasant gentleman by the name of Ihab introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately filled our water, identified the various menus at the table, and took our drink orders. A while later our beverages arrived, he answered several questions and explained the evenings specials. I ordered the Grilled Avocado followed by Broiled Oysters "Rocco". My wife ordered the Potato Gnocchi with crab & lobster. We followed our meal with excellent coffee and a good Pot de Creme. In conclusion... the noise problem that so plagued us the first visit seemed to have been addressed. It was now more reasonable. Our server was a pleasant enough young man but he appeared spread thin. He was continually distracted by his many other tables. It was a bit inconvenient. Finally, the menu was respectable but predictable. There was nothing extraordinary about it.

The service was terrible, despite that we had a reservation, still we had to wait for our table. The server never offered bread and he didn't know what drinks they have or not. The food was not special and clearly the waiter was "so busy" that he hardly showed up to check if we were doing well. I will not come back and of course I will not recommend this restaurant to a friend.

I was able to visit in a recent trip to the city and would recommend it to those going for a visit as well. Located in the House of Blues, you'll have to enter through the 4th strewn door and head straight to the back. Most "speakeasies" I have visited in the US are pretty obvious (like someone sitting in a chair, directing you to a set of stairs behind them to enter the "speakeasy"), but with the entrance to this one tucked away behind a place with live music and food, it had more of an authentic feel. The friend with me that night even questioned if we were in the right place as I strolled to the back of the restaurant and walked up to the girl seated at a podium. "Excuse me, but is this the way to the foundation room?" I asked her. She affirmed, and we were soon on our way up an elevator. When we got to the second floor, we were promptly greeted by a host, Julius, who showed us around. The decor is sumptuous, a blend of Moroccan, Indian, and Jacobean flair. After checking out a room with relics from an Indian temple and looking at the rooftop (with an Instagram-worthy floral wall), we decided to grab a cozy spot near the bar and ordered a drink. As we sipped on our Old Fashioneds, Julius came by to check on us, and we watched the place fill up with an array of people in a festive mood. It was a lovely way to end a night in Cleveland, and a place I highly recommend that you check out when you're in the area!

The restaurant was 0.30 miles away from my hotel, which made it the perfect stop during my morning walk before checking out of the hotel. This restaurant happens to be situated within Public Square. I stopped in to see what was offered, hoping that I could find something vegetarian-friendly. It took me a while to look through the menu, and the employee even offered to make alterations to the featured items after my mention of being vegetarian. Other than the smoothies, the one item on the menu that caught my eye was the Greek Freak, which is what I ordered. Very intriguing decoration which I admired while my order was being prepared. The designs and features I enjoyed were the back wall featuring a geometric design highlighted by vibrant green moss triangles and the signature REBoL vertical text signage off to the left side of the restaurant. There was also distinctive geometric grid pattern crafted from wooden dowels running across the ceiling structure, which was hard to ignore. The wall graphic located in the background off to the right side of the counter depicted an illustrated portrait of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, positioned next to his famous quote, "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." I learned that the quote was originally from the Whole Earth Catalog and was popularized by Steve Jobs during his 2005 Stanford University commencement address. The mural also featured a stylized, colorful pop-art illustration of Jobs alongside other notable cultural figures. The dining area had clean, polished concrete flooring. The seating featured high-top wooden tables paired with matte black metal bar stools. Once my order was ready, I spoke with the employee about the decorations and some of the cookies he was about to label. I mentioned my interest in possibly purchasing one during my next trip to Cleveland, which will likely be in a couple of months to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Okay, I loved the presentation of the "Greek Freak," which was served on a brioche bun and literally had egg bursting out of it. Other visual toppings were cucumber, red onion, and goat cheese crema. I did enjoy the sandwich, but next time I would likely put the goat cheese crema on the side or likely do without it. If you are undecided on what to order at this restaurant and are vegetarian, I do recommend it or possibly some of their smoothies. Because I had a great ordering experience, I would definitely order from REBOL again--whether for Uber Eats delivery or takeout--whenever I visit Cleveland. I actually could've done without the wonton chips, but I'm glad I gave it a try. The store was fairly busy when I arrived around 11:40 but I got my bowl within 10 minutes. After waiting about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from anyone, I decided to at least check out the restroom while I waited... and that's when everything went downhill. The floors were extremely sticky--every step literally felt like my shoes were pulling off the ground. It didn't feel clean at all. As I got closer to the restroom area, there was a strong smell of what I can only describe as wet, moldy rags. The bathroom itself was dark, oddly designed, and just gave an overall uncomfortable vibe. What made it worse is that the place wasn't even busy--there was only one table and a couple people at the bar. So the lack of service and cleanliness really stood out. By the time I walked back to the bar, I had already made up my mind. No one had still acknowledged me, and based on the condition of the place, I wasn't willing to take a chance on the food. I grabbed my things and left. Later on, I mentioned it at another restaurant and was told this place is known for poor food quality and lack of authenticity--which honestly aligned with what I experienced just from being inside. I can't speak on the food since I didn't stay, but based on cleanliness, smell, and service alone, I would not recommend this spot. It gave the impression that basic upkeep isn't a priority, and that's not something I'm willing to overlook.

It was only a few blocks away from the Hilton Downtown Hotel. We had a reservation for 7:00 P.M on a Sunday evening. I liked how convenient the location is. If you're in downtown visiting some of the historic locations, this is a great spot to stop by for a meal. The atmosphere was so high energy because there was a Cleveland Browns game that same evening! The menu has a wide range of steaks, seafood, burgers, salads, and other options. I ended up ordering the French Onion Soup for a starter. There was supposed to be cornbread, but our table never got it though. I enjoyed the French Onion Soup. There was two small pieces of bread inside the soup. There was plenty of cheese and the broth was quite flavorful! I had ordered my filet mignon medium to well done, unfortunately, it was cooked rare. The team member assisting our table went ahead and took the steak back to the kitchen and had the steak recooked until it was medium to well done. It was about 15 minutes before it came back out, luckily, I was still eating my soup. The cheesecake was awesome for dessert. I only ate a few bites of it since I was pretty full from the steak!
