Lunch special chicken with broccoli.
Kate D.

Doesn't look like much but after going food shopping we wanted something for lunch. This place caught my eye and we are so glad we ordered. The lady on the phone was super nice and kept checking to make sure she got our order right. The food was very fresh and we have a new Chinese spot.

Too greasy. Dim sum was one of worst I have try so far. Most of food purchased was thrown away. Won't give them a second chance.

They charge an additional $2.75 for PLAIN FRIED RICE. Yes, you read that correctly. Removing the egg, pork, and vegetables somehow costs more, despite them using fewer ingredients. And even after paying the upcharge, they still don't give you what you ordered. When you call to complain, they offer the classic "credit for next time." Spoiler alert: there is no credit. This has happened before, and when you call back to use it, the girl answering the phone suddenly "can't find any record" of it. Convenient. When I physically drove back to the restaurant with the incorrect food and asked for a refund, an employee tried to flat-out deny what I ordered, claiming I asked for noodles instead. Thankfully, I had the menu with me -- the same menu where they had clearly written "PFR + $2.75". So much for that story. She should probably just let the manager handle it next time instead of butting in where she isn't needed. He was handling the situation just fine until she put her FALSE, unnecessary two cents in. This place is a mess -- disorganized, dishonest, and unapologetic. In today's economy, eating out is a luxury, not a given. If customers are paying extra for something as basic as plain fried rice, the bare minimum expectation is receiving the correct food. I will never order from this establishment again, and I strongly suggest others save their money and their patience.

Our latest…read morevisit was on a Sunday at the end of April as ten of us women celebrate the "End of Winter" each year, and we like to be near the coast and boardwalk even though we're from all parts of New Jersey. Xina is very special and has become our go-to for this annual event. For those who prefer hot entrees, their menu is creative and abundant, and everything is fresh as can be. I saw the salmon marinated in miso and served with black coconut sticky rice entree that looked incredibly enticing, and I heard that it was beyond delicious. For those of us who can't wait to savor their sushi and sashimi offerings, we wait all year for the freshest and the best! A few of us don't order the standard tuna, yellowtail, and salmon... we go for what's less of an American's choice, and this time around we SAVORED (amongst other things) the sweet shrimp (amaebi) which are cold-water northern prawns with a delicate, sweet flavor and creamy texture. Most people don't even know. The extra delight is that the top half/delicate shell and head of each shrimp is lightly deep fried and presented alongside the shrimp - a delicious accompaniment with a bit of umami flavor. Xina is the ruler against which I measure the goodness of every other sushi bar I visit during the year. The Best.
