So I'm a local. This place has been on a steady decline since before the COVID drama. We try this place every so often, because we've never had a good experience here. We thought in tourist season that things would be freshly cooked. Sadly no. $60 on food tonight and none of it was edible. Everything was "mushy" and over cooked. Spicy foods were bland as could be. Hate to see local businesses get rated poorly, but this one seems to be doing everything in their power to earn it. It was a pleasure finally discovering a Chinese restaurant that provided really decent food. It's conveniently located on Route 35 North in Ortly Beach. Combos include Soup, egg roll pork fried rice and your main dish. Food was HOT (temp) fresh and portions were large. We had the chicken wings (6) and chicken and broccoli. I went here yesterday to grab a quick lunch and boy was it a good decision! The people were super friendly and the place was so cute on the inside. The outside definitely does not match the inside. I got the pad thai and it was not only delicious but huge. I ate less than half and brought the rest home. Like the previous yelper, I too still call this location "Esposito's." Maybe it was my stubbornness to admit it was anything other than the corner grocery where I bought Archie comic books once upon a time that kept me from ever ordering here and instead, always going over the bridge for Chinese. My loss when I think of all the years of good Chinese food I missed! Had a craving for dumplings recently and online reviews brought me to my own backyard. I understand now why the reviews say Mary's dumplings are a must. Handmade, they have a lighter skin than typical pork dumplings. The sauce has a hint of spice that is perfect. The crab rangoon also looked housemade, and unlike most others I've had, had visible chunks of crab in the filling (I'm not sure if it's real crab or krab, but it's saying something that I can't tell). The accompanying sauce tasted fresh and not overly sweet or gloppy like most sweet and sour sauces. I'm sorry I waited so long to try Golden Gate Express, but I have a feeling I'll be making up for lost time. read more

No, I'm sorry I was excited to try this place given the reviews and we ordered so much but nothing wowed us and S eats all Chinese food but even he was throwing out dumplings and ribs so I know it wasn't just me. We tried thai spring rolls and the pork in them tasted weird, ribs we asked for well done they were not cooked enough so hard to eat it off the bone, shrimp with cashews looked good and had lots of veggies but was bland with no spice at all, dumplings were eh and egg foo young was burnt..I'm not sure if we just caught them on a bad night but when we went to pick up food there were inly two tables of customers so they weren't busy. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The place was full with people on a Wednesday night. The place was clean and friendly. I got the cashew Thai dish with shrimp and it was great. Just ate here today, I read all the reviews before going and everyone was raving about how good it was. I just want to say that this is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. I went about a half hour after opening and we ate in, the staff was extremely accommodating, it was a great time to go because it wasn't super busy and it was quiet. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu and the man who worked there and took our order said he could make it for us which was fantastic. Prices are decent $7 for a lunch special with fried rice and egg roll, a lot of other places serve soup or salad as well with the lunch special in addition but I couldn't complain because the portion size was perfect and filled me up and the taste was so good and fresh that it was well worth the $ spent. Pretty terrible. I used to come here all the time for Chinese, but the last two times I've ordered were for takeout sushi. Never again. Both times, I've called and placed an order for a Maki B Combo: California Roll, Tuna Roll, and a Yellowtail Roll with a green salad. The first time, I arrived after 15 minutes (they told me it would take 10), and they hadn't even begun to prepare my meal. The restaurant was empty, so it certainly wasn't due to them being swamped. I also know that this happens sometimes, so I was willing to give them a second chance this weekend. The sushi had been serviceable, so I was willing to deal with a minor annoyance. The same thing happened this time though. I was told 15 minutes, arrived after 20 minutes, and the sushi chef still hadn't begun my order. Again, the restaurant was mostly empty. This time the fish didn't seem very fresh. My tuna roll was not the pretty red it should have been, but a pale lavendar color. YUCK. I skipped that roll, but the whole dinner smelled fishy, like the fish it was made with wasn't particularly fresh. If you're looking for sushi, it is worth a trip to Hemingways for more pricey rolls, or over the bridge for Osaka on 37 or Nobi in the old TJ Maxx Plaza. read more

Wonderful food, great service. When a storm chases you off the beach, a great meal can take some of the sting out. All the food was great, but I've had Crab Rangoon at dozens of Chinese and Thai restaurants, and these were the best by a mile. 5 entrees and a fried rice were all hot and tasty when we got them home. placed in a double paper bag because it was so heavy. Ribs had a lot of meat on them. Plenty of sauces and mustard without having to ask. Wish I lived closer. read more
