So if you did not grow up eating authentic Chinese food, this is probably ok. This reminded me of something I experienced in the 1980s, when Chinese food was not plentiful outside of San Francisco, NY, LA and Honolulu. The portion sizes are good, and the meifun was the best redeeming dish I had. My wonton soup was fluorescent yellow, the wrappers thick with a weird aftertaste. The inside of the dumpling was some sort of meat product, but not flavorful. The broth itself smelled of chicken stock, but was too salty I. A not good way, with no herbs. I actually ended up dumping it down the drain since it was so bad. But the won tons were a good size. Lemon chicken is one of my favorite dishes, but this one was super dry and tough inside of the crispy shell. I think it had been frozen, but it was missing the delicate juicy sweetness I was used to. The lemon sauce wasn't bad, just a little watery. The garlic broccoli had a brown sauce that is really common east of the Mississippi. It had an unexpected spiciness and was congealed in some parts of the container, and runny in others. The broccoli itself was cooked ok. The shrimp meifun was probably the best dish I had. Seasoning was ok, and the shrimp was a good size. Of all the dishes, I would order this again. Overall, if you are hungry and looking just to get filled, the cost is not bad. But this is definitely not worth it if you are craving authentic Chinese flavors- I'd recommend going to Panda over this any day- and Panda Express is the Taco Bell of Chinese Cuisine. read more

Decent Chinese food. What I really like, though, is how they have the pickup system rigged to make you feel like you are at a trap house buying crack. So rad! "Gimme two (eggrolls), man!" Door slides open with your product. "Oh snap, is that one-time?...RUN!" The eggrolls really are good here, and I am pretty sure they don't have crack in them. Never tried this place even though it's 5 mins from my house. The online ordering app was easy, service was super fast. Love the no contact pick up window! I have been wanting to try buns forever, who knew they had them around the corner! The steamed pork buns were great, as were the pork gyoza. Ordered med heat general tso's- was a bit sweet and not spicy at all. Also ordered the hot kung pao chicken- not spicy either. The sesame chicken and wonton soup were both good. Phenomenal food. We had no idea this place existed and after trying out several Chinese places that surround the base, we gave up on Chinese here. After hearing some positive reviews we decided to try it out. Oh. My. Gosh. Their fried dumplings (which are more like potstickers to me) were sooooo good and probably 10 came in an order! Start with the positives, the prices were decent and the potion size was decent. However, the quality was poor. You could tell they are trying to cut costs as the beef and broccoli is almost all broccoli and the hot and sour had no meat just tofu and the chicken that was fried tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The Singapore Mai fun I ordered before was really good, but the coconut chicken was just ok. It was more breading than chicken (which I'm ok with because I like bread). It was fried really crispy though which I liked. The sauce tasted like it came from a bottle and was so sweet. A little too sweet for me. The egg roll had an odd flavor and I figured out why. They put either clove or cinnamon in it. I find that odd but I'm pretty sure they're homemade because I've never tasted that before. It was nice to have large chunks of pork in the egg roll. I tried to find a dish without soy, garlic, or onion in it for a special diet I'm on. Although I found it in the coconut chicken I thought it tasted like chicken candy. My husband and I try to visit Yummy's at least once a month. They, hands down, have the best egg rolls around! I love the House Special fried rice, it tastes amazing every time I order it and my husband loves that they are one of the only places close by that serves good black pepper chicken! Food and service usually are pretty good! But I ordered in tonight and after the delivery women left, we realized that my dish was missing. We quickly called her and she said she'd check in with the restaurant. Its been 15 min and haven't herd back. Not to mention my bf hasn't eaten since he wants to wait for me. Yummy Chinese is the best in town by far! I lived locally for many many years and have watched restaurants come and go in this area, I'm sure Yummy is here to stay!
