Stopped by here yesterday (Tuesday) and they were closed lol... so i came back today since my mind was made up on trying here. I am very happy I did!! I strictly stuck to the sushi menu. 1. Avocado and cucumber salad- This was good! it was in chunks and not sliced thin like other places.. it was slathered in spicy sauce and with a little soy sauce it popped! 2. Sushi Appetizer was great! The rice was warm and seasoned perfectly. The fish selections were fresh and tastey!! 3. Poke bowl was awesome... made it the way I would like- the only thing i didnt like was that they put crunch in the spicy tuna and salmon proteins.. not of fan of crunch so I will know for next time. For a local place, the food was above what I expected. They were really nice inside and the place was super clean. I am so glad i stopped in for lunch today. I ordered three dishes, 2 being a combination platter which they said that I can have free soup with each combo. I also Ordered vegetables mei fun ( noodle) with tofu and hot sauce. They charged extra for the kung bao sauce and Tofu, but only used soy sauce. I can understand extra charge for tofu but I said replace one sauce for another. Anyway what should have been 2 free soups since I ordered the combo was an over charge. They charge extra sauce but never added the sauce into the dish. This has already left a bad experience. The soups didn't taste right either. I can't put my finger on it but it just didn't taste right. Something was definitely off. Anyway, I normally don't go out of my way to write a negative review but the experience was just horrible. I must say that my past experiences at this restaurant was good but I feel that they may be under new management. Anyway, on a positive note, they were getting their parking lot paved and the dining area looks clean. Absolutely delicious. First time ordering we over did it but was worth it. We got a California roll, shrimp tempura roll gyoza dumplings a combination hibachi teriyaki steak and shrimp and pineapple chicken. It came with different sauces. (YUM). And we have a ton left over for lunch tomorrow. So nice to have a great sushi place in the neighborhood. Will def be ordering again. Thank you sho gun wok. Really great. read more

These people can't understand English THREE times ordered from a Jen and ALL THREE times got the order wrong, dry rice, hard pork chop, asked no sauce on top, so they put extra. The sushi always seems like it was made days ago. I ended up getting sick after having the spicy tuna roll.

The only reason this place is not getting five stars from this Yelp elite is because they could use the money I'm sure they are getting to take the time out to put together the store just a little bit more. Otherwise this was the best Chinese food I have had in years!! This place does not look like much as it is right outside of the installation Fort Dix , New Jersey but it brings a lot to the table , Chinese food sushi and a small mix of Japanese food. My favorite is mei fun . So of course that is what I landed on I didn't have to show her or explain to her what I wanted in fact she was adamant about ensuring that I wanted the rice noodles that were thin. My friend decided to have some of their fried rice and I have to tell you that was the best fried rice that I have had since I left California! It's really hard to make bad fried rice but somehow people have managed to do it at every single restaurant that I have gone to that claim to be Chinese. Typically the best fried rice I get comes from me going to a hibachi place as they make the rightPrice right in front of you. I may order from them or something before I leave! Walked in for lunch and was greeted by a cluttered restaurant that didn't look ready for customers. Almost walked out because we didn't see anyone, and the appearance made me think twice about eating there. We were seated after a guy yelled out to us from the kitchen, and a server came out to take drink orders. I tried to order unsweetened iced tea. Swing and a miss. What Chinese restaurant doesn't have unsweetened iced tea? Utensils were set out on each table in large bins that you would see in a kitchen. Some were metal, some were plastic. Not too impressed at this point. I ordered the General Tso chicken and my wife had the Coconut chicken. Both were bland and I didn't taste coconut on the coconut chicken. Defiantly the best choice for Chinese food in Browns Mills. Chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, general Tso chicken, crab Rangoon, egg drop soup and wonton soup were all good. They were flavorful cooked perfectly and quick. The other Chinese food location in Browns mills in the country lakes center tends to be bland. Glad I tried shogun wok, I will be back. read more

The last 2 times we ordered we've been really disappointed. The time before tonight there was a small cockroach crawling in the box they brought our food in. This last time we ordered the box and food reeked of cigarette smoke like the delivery driver smoked a bunch of cigarettes on the way to our house. We ordered sushi which was okay except for the hair I found on the top of one of my pieces. The coconut chicken we got tasted like it was fried 2 days ago and just tossed in the sauce.Needless to say we won't be ordering from them again. read more

I've eaten here often and the food has always been hot and very good. Staff is friendly, service always with a smile. They don't use MSG either.
