Absolutely terrible place would not recommend at all. First off, I understand having a family run business, but it's a bit odd that the person taking the phone calls and ringing up orders is about 8 years old. Second, we order the Szechuan Shrimp, which aside from the bland taste, was under cooked, slimy and smelled like raw shrimp. The last and final straw was when we found metal shavings in the lo mein...please see the attached picture. Food is fine here, but the young man that works at the front area is very rude. I don't know if he's trying to be funny and thinks it's not offensive but he's made fun of my last name on numerous occasions and will keep digging at it and then laughs at himself because that's the only way someone will laugh back. Totally unprofessional to make fun of your customers - and not funny at all. I'm a very nice person but my patience has run out with this guy. Recently opened, this Chinese restaurant seems to have become a neighbourhood favourite. As with Luigi's in the same complex, we've never requested delivery. Pickup is always fast and the food always hot. I'd recommend over a few of the other Chinese places in Burlington. read more

I was excited to have a new option for Chinese food, as yes, Burlington does not have a great selection to choose from. What I was really excited about is that Great Wall actually delivers. Sadly, the food is so terrible I will not be patronizing them again. I've never had such bland fried rice (who doesn't put a little egg in their fried rice? Great Wall!), an eggroll that is cold and tastes like a refrigerator, even stale fortune cookies. Sweet and sour chicken wasn't bad, but really, you're better off driving a bit further and ordering from South Wah. I thought that maybe I just tried Great Wall on an off-day so I checked them out twice and same results. :( read more

Well I think they changed owners or cooks or something...and it is not for the better. Food has gone from light and fresh, to heavy and oily. As I cut into the fried dumpling, oil just poured out of them. I know they were pan fried in oil, but this was ridiculous! Flavors are also just heavy with salt and bland. My wife and I love this place. Their House Special wonton soup is my favorite, and the house special fried rice is fantastic to. We have never been disappointed with anything we have tried. I like them better than any other around. read more

The food is not that great. I've certainly had much worse Chinese, though. But to be honest, when we order Chinese, we prefer to drive into Columbus for pickup as opposed to getting this food delivered. Prices are on par with most chinese food. Staff was friendly. After reading the reviews decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I was craving Chinese food and this certainly passed the test. When I ordered over the phone they were friendly, hubby picked up and said the same.. The food was surprisingly great. Much better now. They must of changed cooks. It was horrible when they first opened, but it appears the quality and taste of the food is much better. Close to home and I pickup. We had take out for the second time at Great Wall. The first time was underwhelming. This time the food was pretty good. The Lemon Chicken in particular was very tasty and the chicken was white breast meat. Get the Lemon sauce on the side! In a pinch, I'll give them a 3rd try. read more

I live a couple blocks away and when they opened, I thought they would die out like some of the other businesses that went through that plaza. After trying their food for the first time a few years ago, I was CERTAIN they would die out! The food was quite possibly the WORST Chinese food I had EVER tasted, and I am including Golden Dragon in North Philadelphia (read some of their reviews when you get a chance, and thank me later). I moved back to the area and to my dismay, Great Wall was still there. I decided to give them another try out of desperation, and I am glad I did! As far as "Chinese Food" goes, it isn't mind blowing, but it is actually pretty good! I guess they read some of the Yelp reviews and got their act together. Best Chinese food in Burlington in my opinion. I have had a lot of different choices and have never been disappointed. They make a GREAT house wanton soup. You dont get that greasy fried feeling like at other local chinese places. Food is well priced and prepared quickly. I wish they did delivery, but they are worth the drive.
