    Cheese wonton...tasted chalky.
    Jazz T.

I wish I could give this ZERO stars. I'm from NY so I'd like to believe I know good Chinese food... well this place doesn't have it, it's gross. I've been looking for good Chinese food since I've been in jersey and I've found that jersey's Chinese is just different, to put it mildly. Typically, I can only order specifics from certain places. This restaurant usually has a line and doesn't offer delivery. So, on a whim I decided to try it. I ordered crag Rangoon (cheese wontons), which were fried so lightly that they weren't done and pretty soggy. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied it has the most chalky taste. My general tso's chicken had cooked broccoli in it which I had to take out but it overpowered and changed the flavor of the chicken. The chicken was dry and the sauce lacked flavor. The pork fried rice was flavorless also. It's was absolutely gross. The egg roll, had an overpowering carrot taste. I don't believe in wasting food but I literally didn't eat it and threw it right out, the whole freaking "inedible" meal. I've come to the conclusion that this place is popular due to the cheap pricing... you get a lot of food for $10. By far the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in jersey.... the search continues.

    White rice with fried chicken

I've ordered from this place a few times now and I've hadn't had that much of a difficulty maybe a little ups and downs but mostly it's been OK but one problem I have is today they give me the wrong order. I pacifically said fried rice with chicken and the lady even repeated it to me Then when I got home with my Chinese food, I opened it to my whore. I saw white rice not only that but no spoon to be in sight. I'm very disappointed in this place and it's customer service and I can't go back now because it is way too cold outside. So I decided to keep this order. I hope this place decides to get better customer service. In the near future.

    Hot and sour soup. ‍

I must be one of the few, or ever, Asian that has ordered from here. The food was tasteless. Yes there were saltiness and the expected greasiness of typical Chinese take outs but it lacked the Chinese flavors. I'm not asking for authenticity, gosh no. I know that I'm not in Chinatown but it was bland. Bland; even to my American pallet. The hot and sour soup had strands of the generic red pork, julienned carrots and CHUNKS of onions, slicked now peas, soft tofu chunks and a lot of broth. Lots and lots of broth. I had to add a whole spoonful of Franks hot sauce just for the sour note. The cheese wontons were good, typical; really can't mess that up. I also ordered the family meal for two and choosed the pepper steaks and beef with garlic sauce.....they both tasted exactly the same except the garlic sauce has bits of ground chili peppers. It came with pork fried rice, which wasn't bad, it had a nice charred wok flavor but, drum rolls, the rice was undercook, it was a tad on the raw side. I give each and every mom and pops a try. I do support the local eateries but I'm also a foodie. Sorry not sorry.

The nastiest lo mein I ever had in my life!

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

I was there with my son. He had just finished his volunteer work, and we were both hungry. Hunger makes philosophers of us all. I had read the reviews. Many of them said things like "the service is terrible" and "this place is a mess" and "the toast was a war crime." These people must have been living in a parallel dimension, because what we experienced was very nearly delightful. My son got the Box Combo. That's four chicken fingers, a pile of fries, a slab of Texas toast, a little dish of coleslaw, and a drink. He chose sweet tea because he's no fool. He told me beforehand he didn't want the slaw. Kids these days. So I took it. I'm the father. That's what we do. He liked it all. Said the chicken was hot and tender inside. The Texas toast got a nod of approval. That means a lot from a kid who does not pull punches when it comes to food. I got the Three Finger Combo. Fewer fingers but still enough to remind you that you're alive. Fries, toast, sweet tea. No frills, just hot food done well. When the food came up, someone shouted "Hot fresh chicken for Jerry!" They weren't lying. That chicken was blistering. Had to let it cool for a minute or two before my mouth could handle it. Once I did, I found it juicy and delicious. People speak of Cane's Sauce like it's the nectar of gods. I found it fine. Not worth composing sonnets over, but pleasant. The chicken pieces were a bit on the smaller side. That's not a complaint. Quality over quantity, folks. Give me a smaller thing done well over a big one done half-heartedly any day. The slaw was cold and creamy and fresh. I liked it. It's the kind I like, chunky, not obliterated into tiny pieces. No one will write a song about it, but I'd eat it again. The sweet tea was sweet tea. You know what that means. If you don't, move south for a summer and you'll learn. The service was excellent. I mean it. The woman who seemed to be in charge was sharp and kind. She took our order and later came by while we were eating, asking if everything was good. It was. That kind of check-in might not seem like much, but it reminded me that humans are still out here trying. The dining room was clean. It was well-lit. It was also about five degrees colder than the surface of the moon. My son and I sat there with goosebumps on our arms like it was some sort of poultry-themed Arctic expedition. Still, I'd come back. I'd even bring a sweater. Sometimes good chicken and good company are enough to make you forget the cold. Almost.

The tables could have been wiped down, but maybe they do that at the end of the night. Mostly clean except for some sticky spots. Friendly staff. I was too relaxed by it to get too anxious about waiting 20min. Far too many fast food places just blast crap over the speakers that causes every middle-aged customer to want to bolt after 60 seconds.
