This is one of our favorite restaurants and we're still exploring the menu. We ordered one of our favorite dishes, Drunken Noodles medium spicy, but with pork instead of chicken. We liked this even more. We tried one of the chef specialties, Chicken with Peanut Sauce, which is now among my favorite dishes. There were 2 large chicken breasts in a super flavorful peanut sauce (similar to the sauce that comes with satay, but better). Carrots, snap peas, broccoli, cauliflower and string beans came with it. I've been here twice now and the food is below average. I've tried a few of the curries as well as a pad Thai. Something to fix would be the menu's as well as they are very cheaply made. The curries are not good at all, they are missing flavors that should be present and the sauce is too watery. I've had the red curry and another 1-2 different ones in the past. The pad thai was good but between the curries not being good and the waitress being slow even in an empty restaurant, there's no way for me to rate higher. Went for Siam Spice but found it had new owners....let me just say..DID not disappoint! Everything we had was delicious and probably some of the best Thai food that we have had. My only qualm was the appetizer that was the sampler for $16 I would have expected a little bit more... we had three tiny spring rolls , two small Curry puffs, three small dumplings and two chicken wings. This was a disappointing experience and surprising with all the high reviews. I hate to knock a small business but we were let down in many regards especially the curry and service. Comfort was also a major issue along with a very long wait for subpar food. If you are into Thai curry, don't come here. While the restaurant was barely occupied, the wait for service and food was below standard. We felt like an inconvenience to the take out orders happening. In fact, while in the middle of taking our order, our waitress interrupted us and actually took a phone call at the table for take out, with no apology. The food was also subpar with small portions...The fried tofu was small and flavorless along with the watery sauce it came with making a sad combination. I didn't understand why this didn't come with traditional peanut sauce. The red curry was also a disappointment. It was watery and lacked thickness and flavor; the coconut milk had separated and it was thin and weak. It was unlike any Thai curry I've ever had and made me question the authenticity of the cuisine at this restaurant. Additionally, I asked for broccoli and carrots to be added to the red curry which was a $6 up charge. This seemed strangely high for some vegetables; no other Thai place has ever charged me for adding veggies. I was told "not to worry" there would be way more than I could eat and I'd be able to take it home. Yet the portion was small, with only four pieces of broccoli. But there was a random piece of mushy eggplant thrown in there I hadn't asked for. Was that one for free? Rice was hard, tasted old. And a small amount. It was also sweltering really hot. They put up in the front room yet there was barely anyone in the main dining space. We had complained about this and had to turn the heaters off ourselves. There was also this constant, overwhelming cheap perfume smell due to fragrance plug-ins that was not suitable for when you're eating. It was off putting. You'd think service would be better with us being right there in the take out zone, but no. I was so ready to leave after such long waits for service and and food, we had to get up to pay ourselves. The waitress did not refill water, or clear old dirty plates. She never asked if we wanted dessert or something more. I would not recommend this to any one of come back here ever again. Worst Thai food I've ever had and I've been to 20-30 Thai restaurants in my life. I have it 2 stars instead of one because we ate the food. But it left us disappointed. read more

Having recently moved to the area, we were hoping we could find a local place to go to get good Thai food. Well, I don't think we have to look any further. This spot doesn't have good Thai food, it has great Thai food. Inside is nice, with a more casual dining area where you enter and that leads in to a more formal dining area that was simple but nicely decorated. Our server was very sweet and gave us great service throughout. To start we went with an app on their specials menu, Takoyaki with diced octopus, wheat flour batter, slightly crispy shell, garnished with takoyaki sauce, mayo and aonori. Well we never tried Takoyaki before and we were definitely taking a shot on this one. Boy were we glad we did as this was amazing ! Creamy filled balls with bits of the octopus with the crispy outside shell covered with the sauces made for one big explosion of flavors. For our main courses we both love Crispy Duck so I went with one of the Chef's specialties, the Duck Basil. Crispy half duck with long hot chili, onion and basil sauce. My wife loves Drunken Noodles, so she got hers topped with the crispy duck. Have to say that both of these duck dishes were maybe the best we have ever eaten in a Thai restaurant. Crispy skin, tender flavorful meat and plenty of it, including the leg, which you don't often get. We wrapped up this great meal with a delicious dessert, Taro Ice Cream with Sweet Sticky Rice which was just a perfect ending. We had the Thai appetizer sampler, both regular and vegetarian, some TomKai and Tom Gai soup (I'm hoping I'm spelling it right), Papaya salad and for dinner, my dad, son and i had chicken pad Thai and my mom had the pad Prik which was fried snapper. The food was all great but i found my chicken in my dish to be a little dry but it was all very authentic and flavorful. The girl serving us was the only person working the front of the house and she ran herself ragged when the place filled up but she was sweet, courteous and super friendly. Started out with an order of dumplings and a bowel of chicken soup both of which were served tepid and had to be sent back to be reheated. Once done the flavors were okay but nothing special. We ordered a papaya salad that fell through the cracks and was never brought our table. Then on to a couple of pedestrian Thai dishes that were alright but lacking the heat we requested. This place is hands down my favorite restaurant in Toms River. Probably the only Thai place around here. They recent changed owners, and the name but used to be called Siam Spice. One of the reasons I am giving it a 4 star is because they aren't consistent with the dishes. For example, my mom gets the ginger stir fry and the veggies are always different so it depends on what's in their kitchen at the moment. My personal favs are the Tom Yum soup, Koi Soy, ginger stir fry and the Thai basil fried rice. read more

*Disclaimer* I haven't had Thai food since I was young so I don't have much to base this off of. I have been wanting to try it again and saw that this restaurant got very good reviews and it was near me, so I thought, why not! The customer service was amazing. The woman who took my order to go was very nice and patient. The food came out fast and that surprised and worried me a little bit, but I was glad because I was very hungry! I got the curry puffs and satay and a Thai iced tea. The chicken was a little cold when I got home and a little bit dry but the sauce that it comes with really helped with that! Especially the peanut sauce which next time I will ask for extra because it was so good! I think if I was eating it there and it was fresh it probably would've been much much better (so I will update this review when I go there again and sit down to eat). The curry puffs though! 10/10! They were warm and flaky with just the right amount of filling! I didn't care for the cucumber relish but I'm not a big fan of cucumber so I didn't expect to like it. I put the peanut sauce on the puffs and that just elevated them even more! The Thai iced tea I had never had but someone said I had to try! It's different from what I'm used to and very much on the sweet side. I'm not opposed to it because I like sweet things, but the taste I had to get used to. There is nothing wrong with it, just my taste buds adjusting to something different. Overall I will DEFINITELY be going back. I will be trying more adventurous things as well because from what I had everything is very well seasoned. I only gave 4 stars because of the satay. I want to start out saying that those this restaurant location is under new ownership we have had our ups and downs in terms of experiences here. We have eaten here twice before Covid and had a pleasant experience it is typically slower service and the prices are a bit high for the amount of food you get but we have always been greeted nicely and taken good care of. We typically order the pad see ew, one of the curries or pad Thai sometimes the chicken satay skewers steamed dumplings or fried spring rolls. All of which we enjoyed just wish that the portions were slightly larger. My other three experiences were called in for takeout and lunch specials. We usually order the noodles or pad Thai in the lunch portion. Seems to be the same young woman answering the phone who is very short unfriendly and seems almost annoyed that you dare call and order from their restaurant. The order is typically done in 15 to 20 minutes and Covid precautions were taken. Unfortunately when you go into pick up your food you were greeted once again by the very offputting young woman who also takes the phone orders. Not sure if she is miserable to be there or genuinely wants to turn customers away but I have to say that it is an upsetting experience as of my last order which was a recent Wednesday. I ordered two of the same noodle lunch special and she tried to charge me for someone else's order which was also on the counter and was very annoyed when I corrected her that she was charging me for someone else's order. The food tasted OK but we had picked it up in the allotted time that she gave us and the food was quite cold when I got to it. They also packed a small ginger salad on one side of the takeout container however the but it's got all soggy because of the condensation of the food. When it became chang thai i ordered my favorites and i could tell they changed the ingredients and some recipes and was really bummed out because it wasn't good. I avoided this place for a long time and caved one day because i just really wanted thai food and im glad i did because the food was really good. My dear friend comes here often, and Noi greeted her with a big friendly smile. The restaurant is large and perfect to host a large gathering. Since it was early evening, we were the only patrons. Noi went over the menu with us and made recommendations. We started with the curry puffs, and the vegetable spring rolls. The Tom yum soup was perfect spice wise. The chicken curry is my friends favorite, and it did not disappoint. I had the vegetable medley with brown sauce and Moi added bok choy per my request. The portions are large and your choice of protein makes it hard to decide. Don't forget to BYOB! I found the previous restaurant to be disappointing food with atrocious staff.. not anymore . The vegetarian appetizer sampler was delicious , especially the curry puffs .
