I went to spicy garden to try some food when I wanted something a little different than my staple three places at my new job. I looked up some reviews and saw this place and thought it was good enough to try, although as a warning low count, low star reviews don't typically turn me from trying a place as I have gone to places before that I was surprised about. I ordered a pad thai and the portion size was pretty generous. It also is not a long wait, and the woman was very friendly who helped me. The inside of the restaurant while having a sit down section. Looks like they're only open for takeout as from what I can see inside there was paperwork set up on multiple booth bed tables. When I got the food back to my office I dug in. It was not the worst food and because the portion was so big I had enough for a second meal that I ate later that week. However, I also didn't think it was anything spectacular. I'd order the pad Thai which is my typical go-to for a first time at a new Thai place, as it is pretty simple and I find it generally hard to mess up. My second try dishes are usually red curry. However the food was just okay. I may be spoiled and where I live and that I have an amazing selection of food which is skewing my opinion of this. When I looked up the high places in the area there didn't seem to be many choices and this could very likely be the best high place around. However, for me as someone who really loves Thai food and has multiple choices at home, I don't know if this would be a top five for places for me to stop for lunch read more

The food is outstanding , we ordered several entrees and basil veggie brown rice and it all was some of the best Tai food I have ever had. The sauces were perfect spice levels for all palates. Only issue I had was wanting to pay by credit card over the phone when placing my order. They wouldn't take it and my niece had to pay for it when picking it up. Had the shrimp fried rice and chicken pad see ew and both were really good. Was ready exactly when promised. Hot and tasty. Two tips: when you order, say, "shrimp fried rice," it asks you if you want to add shrimp for $4. It's not clear if the shrimp is in the dish and this is extra or if you have to add it. Answer: it's in the dish but you can add extra for $4. Second: I started to place my order here on Yelp and it added up to $64 delivered with no pick up option. That's a bit ridiculous for two $13.95 meals and a $6 salad. The delivery, convenience fee and tip really add up. We love spicy garden. Great go to Thai takeout. I usually get their coconut curry fried rice and the yellow curry. Always flavorful. If you like spicy Thai, definitely ask them to make it spicy. Most other their places I've had typically have a little kick to their food. This place doesn't so just ask and they will make it spicy for you. An excellent option for fresh and delicious Thai food in the area. Seven of us showed up at 9pm on a Friday night looking for a quick food option. We rolled up here and thought we could eat quickly and go - but found out they were doing takeout only. Luckily the owner was super sweet and helpful and assured us we could order and have our food in 30 mins. They definitely delivered! The spicy Thai basil rice with tofu and veggies was a highlight, as were the veggie dumplings. Didn't love the green curry but the noodle dishes were excellent. Amazed that they were able to whip up like 8 dishes so quickly. And everything was able to be made vegan. Would certainly be back here if I visit again! read more

We ordered about $100 worth of takeout. We tried the chicken curry (both yellow and red), the chicken fried rice, egg rolls, and general tso's style chicken and chicken pad Thai. We were extremely disappointed. Not a single person in our group of six at their meal. The general tso's style chicken was too overcooked/over fried with too much garlic. The chicken fried rice was so bland and had very little flavor. The two curry dishes were simply inedible. They had very little sauce and honestly the flavor of both was just, well, off. Like one bite and we threw it out. The egg rolls were extremely soggy. So imagine fried and then soggy. I'd recommend paper containers versus plastic, which likely contributed to their sogginess. The pad Thai was just bad. Noodles were over cooked. The entire dish was flavorless. The steamed jasmine rice was fine. The atmosphere was fine too. Small, cute little place in Manasquan. Service was quick and friendly too. That said, I would not recommend coming here. Siam Basil in Wall is much better by comparison and that place is just ok in my opinion. Sadly, we really wanted to like this place. Not one thing we ordered was good and we are so disappointed. Threw the food out after trying each dish. Really delicious Thai restaurant. I was pretty surprised by how delicious it was. The restaurant was not crowded during weekday lunch. The lunch specials are all really good options and under $10. It comes with soup and salad. I ordered the vegetarian Thai basil. It was tofu, veggies stir fried with Thai basil served with white rice. It was super delicious. I've only ordered delivery via Seamless, but this place has some high-quality Thai food. It arrives hot and fresh even though the restaurant is about ten minutes away. The Pad Kee Mao could be spicier but it hits the spot every time. The Chicken Fried Rice is also worth a try. I've never had anything else from there, but you can't go wrong with either of those dishes. Just went here earlier today for Memorial Day weekend! I got 2 orders of the drunken noodles and 2 red curry's! So delicious and the noodle were nice and spicy!
