    Entrees 11/25/22
    Jim D.

We ate here early last evening. The place is small (seats less than 40) and mostly does take-out orders. But, it is pleasant to eat in, service was good, and it is BYOB. We started with an appetizer of spring rolls. Then, for entrees had Pad Se Ew with shrimp, $14.95 and Thai Seafood Basil, $23.95. Everything was very tasty. We will return to eat in or take out.

If you are a fan of Thai food, this small unassuming spot, tucked in to a mini strip mall, packs a big punch. Just a few booths and tables but very clean and nicely decorated, enough to give you a warm and cozy feeling. Our waitress, Pah, who we found out was from Thailand, couldn't be more sweet and friendly to us, we just loved her. We started by ordering the Crispy Shrimp Rolls, marinated shrimp and herbs in a crispy wrap. We've ordered these in other Thai restaurants, but these were by far the best. For our mains, my wife and I both ordered the same dish which we were both craving, the Duck Drunken Noodles. This is a crispy half duck with flat noodle, Thai basil, chili and onion and it was fabulous. Again, another dish we've had at other Thai spots but this definitely ranked among the best. Just super flavorful ! Now for dessert, we went with not one, but two - Mango and Sticky Rice and Fried Ice Cream. Both were delicious but the standout was the Fried Ice Cream in a beautiful fried coating on top of a wonderful raspberry sauce, amazing. What a pleasant surprise this place was, we will definitely be back.

9 peice chicken wing missing chicken

Ordered tonight through door dash , all the food arrived cold , pad Thai beef was tough and gray color . Awful . Chicken wing order was missing pieces , my nine peice order only had four . Homemade peanut sauce for extra charge of 5.00 was half way full of tiny container I do not recommend . Was expecting much better based on reviews

We come every Christmas Day and then a couple times throughout the year (for the past 12 years or so). Every time we enter, they greet us with a hello, seat us at the same table each time, and they even remember our past orders--we practically don't even need to tell them what we want. This amazes me considering we only come a few times each year. The food is always delicious, and I love that they still serve vegetable dumplings here since I'm hard-pressed to find them anywhere else.

I had hoped Dim Sum Restaurant would be better than what the average rating on yelp had graded it, but upon arrival into the parking lot, i saw two cars parked. I jokingly said 1 was the chef and the other was the host... Unfortunately I was right. Not a single soul was frequenting the establishment for lunch time, another red flag in my head. The dreary interior I am used to. I'll visit a hole in the wall and eat the food no questions asked. However when the tables are sticky, the menus leave a nasty dirty grease film on your fingers, that should be another tell tale sign to run. The prices were insane. each dim sum dish started at around $4.95 each. Even the most expensive Dim sum eateries, they run around $2.95 to $4.50 for a large dim sum dish. We ordered the classics Sui Mai, Har Kow, Black bean spare ribs, some fried dumplings, and I got a chicken corn egg drop soup. The food was terrible. Har Kow was probably from the multipack I can buy at the local chinese supermarket, the big 20 package that you get from the freezer. The Siu Mai came 3 per order.. not 4... Black bean spare ribs were 100% frozen, and you could see the congealed cooked blood in the sauce and on the spare ribs. Egg drop soup had an ungodly amount of yellow food coloring in it. The only saving grace was the Fried Dumplings. while small in size, they were tasty and edible. All in all, even if you're desperate for chinese dim sum. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

In Aldrich Plaza, you will find the culinary realm of Asia welcoming you inside…read more Brand: 5/5 Asian Harbor is a pan-Asian restaurant in Aldrich Plaza that offers Japanese and Thai cuisines. On the outside, it may not look splendid (only because you have not stepped inside). Concerning the interior, you are welcomed with two portraits the moment you walk inside. It gives you an idea about the simple aesthetics that pervades the establishment. You will find many geisha portraits upon the walls. At the corner, you will find a section that directly sells the seafood. Indeed, the unassuming appearance of a restaurant in a shopping plaza gives way to an interior filled with quiet joy. Website: 4/5 It has a basic design, with the theme typically used for restaurants leading you down to the description and a separate page for the menu. However, it had no images accompanying the menu items. Nevertheless, it functions well enough. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no interruptions while awaiting my order, which came quickly. Ambiance: 5/5 I do like the blue, twinkly lights upon the upper parts of the wood-paneled walls that gave the establishment a calm, cool vibe, along with the smoothly low volume of the pop music. There is a large circular light at the center of the ceiling, which I presume is turned out at night or during special events. The seats felt comfortable and the booths and the tables had a tolerable space. Be advised that it is authentically Asian in the sense they do not have forks or knives, rather only chopsticks. So, please know how to use them before coming. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Dream Roll, which is a specialty roll consisting of steamed shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and topped with lobster salad, seaweed salad, and honey sauce. I did enjoy the shrimp which gave it a hearty taste along with the avocado, seaweed, and honey sauce. I should forewarn that their wasabi did get pretty zesty, for it was not the diluted store-bought version (and most certainly not pistachio ice cream). Even as I ate half of a sushi roll, it still held its form and did not completely break apart. Clearly, this specialty roll is a dream encapsulated within a roll. I also had a side of water that came free of charge, which I wish more restaurants start doing more for a liquid that takes little effort to acquire. The prevalence of seafood and vegetables managed to help me get a more healthy meal. Service: 5/5 The owner served during a slow time and accommodated me throughout my time there. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The allure of the specialty rolls and the presence of Japanese and Thai food reflects the brand of Asian Harbor perfectly. Food can definitely speak in a universal language through the sensation of taste. What Asian Harbor tells me is that it has a lot to offer Aldrich Plaza. The website I would say does not evoke the aesthetics well, particularly considering how Americans typically know little about China and Japan (and even little about the rest of Asia). It would help to perhaps teach some Japanese or Thai words and history on the site. At no point did the wait for the Dream Roll feel cumbersome when accounting for the ambiance. The soothing atmosphere made it easy for me to wait as I wrote, and it fits the brand quite well. Just as well, the atmosphere let me immerse myself into the Dream Roll, as though the experience itself was a dream. Overall, I could find nothing seriously wrong about Asian Harbor. My experience was too pleasant to give it a low score. Considering the status of the Dream Roll as a Specialty Roll, I expected it to have a high price, which comes with the ingredients packed into it. I would absolutely consider it my first choice for Asian cuisine, and I would say that the price is worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I enjoyed my first visit to Asian Harbor, and I hope it is not my last, since I have yet to try more sushi rolls. Recommend To... Anyone looking to familiarize yourself with Japanese and Thai cuisines, but are looking for the challenge of using only chopsticks.
