I go to Thai restaurants, so I can compare this restaurant to others I have frequented. The dinner portion size here at Herbs Thai is very small. I can't imagine how small the lunch portion is. My husband came home and ate something after because he was still hungry after his pad thai dish. I was not really full either and I ordered the panang curry. The food was okay, just not enough of it. That doesn't usually happen at other Thai restaurants that we go to. The other thing is we asked for a glass of water, they said they "don't do that". I have never eaten in a restaurant that doesn't offer a glass of water. We probably will not be back to this restaurant since it was about $35 for two very small plates of food, and we were still hungry. read more

Very good Thai food though the peanut curry is supposed to be served with wilted watercress. Great Thai food in this area. Love the shrimp fried rice. And they give you a good amount of jumbo shrimp. Their spicy basil fried rice is very spicy so be prepared if you order that. The food I've tried has been well seasoned and flavorful. The people who work there are also really nice and inviting. Usually quiet and not busy when I go there. read more

This place is great lots of vegetarian options. Peanut sauce is great. If you go medium spicy or hot be prepared. I love spicy and not sure I could handle the hot. The first year or two after they opened we ordered constantly and it was consistently delicious. The staff was always super friendly. I don't see the same people there anymore so I'm wondering if they sold it or hired others to take over. We live 2 min away so over the years have ordered a lot. I would say about 85% of the time it's perfection. Amazing flavor and good entree portions and they cater to allergies. But for some reason you will randomly get a curry that has no flavor or rubbery chicken. It's too expensive to have to toss the meal on those occasions. Also the appetizers are overpriced in my opinion. That's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. But I will definitely continue to support them because when it's good it's ridiculously good. read more

Totally surprised! Herbs Thai Kitchen place hits the spot! Went to a baseball game & it got rained out. So we looked up the closest Thai place for dinner. It looked pretty simple at first sight, almost like fast food. But everything was REALLY good & the service was great. I got fried tarot for the first time & it was delicious. Crisp & yummy. And my tofu Pad Thai was equally as good. My friend loved her selections too! Wish I lived closer so I could enjoy more often. read more

Not at all what I expected from the outside! The interior is very nice, considering it's in a strip mall. Very clean and pretty. The menu is a pretty standard "Thai Restaurant" menu. They do have vegetarian duck, which is so appreciated! I've had the pad see ew (my favorite), and a few of the wok dishes. All are pretty dang good. The food is always very consistent, and comes quickly. Delivery is very quick, too, which is another bonus. A wonderful local staple for me. read more

I see things declining here unfortunately. I was there maybe a month ago, and it was less than impressive. I ordered crispy half duck, and it was anything but - crispy that is. So I sent it back. Which they took back without question, as any quality place should. I figured I'd order something safe, like Pad Thai. This was mediocre at best. I'm going to go back another time because maybe it was an off night, or the regular chef was off... Or maybe perhaps because I went on a weekday, the "B" team was at bat. I ordered red curry with tofu for delivery. They brought the curry but they forgot to send any rice. I called and asked if they could send over rice, since that's half the dish. the person answering the phone kept interrupting me to talk to other people and then came back and said "well if you really want some we can send it but it's going to be a long time". Best Thai around, period! Order the Grilled Peanut Sauce Chicken under the Chef's specialty menu. You'll be glad you did. I order the brown rice as a side with all my dishes and even the brown rice Is 10 times better than anywhere else. Other great dishes are the Mussaman Curry and of course the Pad Thai is amazing!!!! I have been here about three times and once for take out. I loved the curry but you have to tell them not spicy. Last time I said not spicy, my mouth was burning but they took it back and made another. So, it was totally fine. I have tried the vegetable spring rolls as the appetizer and they are very tasty and they give you a good amount. I have tried he Pad Thai here and it has a nice flavor to it. Best Thai food in the area! I have been going to Herb's for a number of years and there aren't many meals that I look forward to more than take-out from this place. Some recommendations would be the Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups, the Pad Thai and Pad See-Ew noodle dishes, as well as the Chicken Wings (omg good!) and Chive Dumplings (when available) appetizers. Herb Thai is a delicious option for eating out in the Brick area. It has a good selection of Thai staples. Even though they don't advertise as a gluten free option, the staff is mostly knowledgeable about gluten and will do their best to accommodate. The place is small and clean; there's usually plenty of seating available. There's also delivery and pickup options. They have soda available in cans, Thai sodas in adorable bottles, and iced (Thai and honey green?) tea available. My favorite appetizer is the chicken satay, mostly for their amazing peanut sauce (which they will package and sell in different sizes); my favorite dinner is definitely the massamam curry--they definitely got the sweet/savory balance right for me. Their Thom Kha soup is a great addition to any meal. Because of my food restriction, I can't have *everything* on the menu, but I've brought friends who've really enjoyed different things--especially the gyoza. The only thing that is a little sad is the fact that they're closed Tuesdays (and maybe Monday's too in the winter). read more
