Went in Saturday for a full set, the guy that did my nails smelled like stale cigarettes & never said 1 word to me. My nails were not completely filled in. Left extra acrylic underneath & after 2 days they were lifting. He was very rough. The price was way too expensive for the crappy work. I went in on Monday & told owner the owner he was hesitant about my complaint & said ok come back I fix it. I went back later that day only yo argue with him about the crappy work. Finally he fixed my nails & I still had to pay an extra $10. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!! Too EXPENSIVE FOR NOT SO GOOD SERVICE. Very unfriendly!!! read more

HORRIBLE customer service. First off after waiting for three hours in Saturday after being told it was a thirty minute wait they skipped my sister who had been waiting to get her nails and eye brows done then when they realized they skipped her told her she would have to wait another hour. Skip to today because I realize that Saturday's can be busy so I bring my sister back and around 2pm and they let me know it was her fault she was skipped because she didn't say anything, they didn't call her name or anything yet it's her fault that the obviously can't work their own sign in sheet?! She gets her eye brows waxed and they finds out she can't get her nails done because no one here can do designs except for one girl phoebe the same girl she signed up with and waited for on Saturday. Then to top it off during my pedicure she stands near me screaming about her appointments and totally messing with my pedicure which is supposed to be a relaxing time! I am not paying $45 to be screamed at because you can't multi task or keep up with your sign in sheet. Half the staff sitting around doing nothing, the guy who finished my pedicure because I was already started was really nice but the women here are awful and need to learn what customer service is because if I screamed at someone like that at my job I would be fired. Then when we go to leave I find out the told my 13 year old sister that they wouldn't do her nails because they hated me. Seriously are you twelve? You don't speak to a child about the adult who brought them in and when we left she told us thank you but you're not welcome here. Like I would pay money to deal with that psycho again. I would never come here again and would never recommend any of my friend to use this place ever. Go save your money somewhere else! They did a great job on my nails cut them short for me so I can type, and made them thinner. Nice people. But the price was a shocker! Never have I been to a nail Salon that charges $70 for me and my daughter to get fills with gel. We usually pay $36 for the same service in Austin. Normal pricing should be 20 for full set, 12 for fill and $6 extra for gel. $20 for a fill and 15 for gel, 35 for a full set $50 for full set with gel is insane. Going to have to stick to Austin nail salons unless I can find another place in bastrop. :( this is bastrop not westlake, way out of most people's affordability range in a small country town read more

This place is way too expensive, they over charge for a horrible service. The guy doing my nails was always watching the TV instead of paying attention to my nails. He did such a bad job it looks like my 9 year old sister painted them. I was very disappointed in the staff and they kept on rushing me and my sister in law to hurry and choose a color. When the guy finished doing my nails, I showed my sister in law and told her I didn't like them.. another staff member heard me and he told my nail guy to ask if he could fix it for me. There was nothing to fix, even if he tried he would just mess up my nails even more. Highly disappointed. read more

I have gone to Great Nails for 9 years and their customer service and the quality of their work is far above other nails salons. I have also referred friends here and they are very happy and are now loyal customers as well. There were times in the past when I had to go to a different salon and I will never do that again. The quality just isn't the same. I typically ask for Johnny or Phoebe for my fills and I honestly have no complaints. My nails always last and I typically don't come back for 3 - 4 weeks, even though they recommend 2-3 weeks. My daughter also has her eye brows done here routinely and we are very happy with that as well. read more

Phoebe and her husband Johnney are two of the best nail techs I've ever been to. I can't say anything about the others in the shop as I don't have any personal experience with them but I am sure they do a great job as well. I always make an appointment and rarely do I ever have to wait for even a few minutes. If I don't make an appointment, then yes I usually wait. They are busy but try to work everyone in as quickly as they can. They do some very creative things that look absolutely amazing. The place is clean too! I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone here, although I hate to because I don't want them so slammed it'll take days for me to get an appointment. read more

I went for my first time last week and didn't have the greatest experience. The salon closes at 6:00 p.m. and I arrived at 4:45 p.m. for a simple manicure. The whole process was incredibly rushed, as if I had walked in ten minutes before close. The woman who did my nails criticized the color of polish I chose and continually complained that my nails were too short (my nails are of average length, not incredibly long, but definitely long enough for a manicure). While she was trimming my cuticles she kept checking the clock and cut my finger while she wasn't paying attention. I did not see her sanitize any of the tools she used. After all that, the manicure didn't even look good. She left specks of polish on my fingertips and didn't bother to paint the edges of my nails. I could have done a better job at home. I definitely won't be going back to Great Nails. If you're in Bastrop, go to JC Nails or Kathy's. read more

My visit last week to this place was my second time but 1st under its new management. I asked for mini pedi and acrlic tips, French manicures. From start to finish it took over 3 hours. End result, nails that have dull shine on left hand, bubbles under the clear coat on both, and they look like a ski slope. What should have been white tips have clear tips with great affect of light shining through when you go outside. My toe nails already have the polish coming off after only 2 days. read more

First of all it smells horrible in there like sewer. I told the gentleman I did not like my nails drilled he continued to use the drill till I told him in an ugly way to stop. Then he left for a while and comes back smelling horrible like cigarette smoke the he grabs my hand. I said No wash your hands. He was rude and did a horrible job I didn't even get a manicure just gel color and charged me 25 dollars just a change in color in austin is 15. Dropped in today for an eyebrow wax. Had to wait about 15 min. I didn't have an appointment and I wasn't in a hurry so that was fine. There were only 3 people working there and they were all busy. I looked through the nail design book while waiting. I was very impressed. Will go back for nails next time. Wax job was done well. Wax not overly hot It kinda smelled like chocolate actually! She really took her time to shape, trim and tweeze my brows into a very nice shape. Will be back read more

This place in fine for pedicures but DO NOT waste your $$ on gel nails there. I spent $40 and they lasted less than one week before chipping. On top of that the lady who helped me was mad about something and never looked me in the eye but talked to her coworker the whole time in 'their' language. The service WAS JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE. They just kept on rushing me and wanting me to get more and more done and I didn't appreciate it but I kept quiet since I didn't want to cause a scene.
