I'm not exaggerating when I say that I got one of the best haircuts I've had here. It's been about a month and I still am so happy with the magic Brandon worked. It's just perfect for me. I drove about an hour to get my hair done here after needing to find someone new from my area. I'm so happy that I gave them a shot, as I really was only going by Yelp. Eric has turned my COVID crown around! During COVID as we all know we were forced to try to figure out color theory, which I hear is a $20k endeavor from the Aveda color institute (this was information from a talented colorist who attended the school). Anyway, we all had to try to color our own hair. Safely lifting and lightening and depositing color is not easy, whereas damaging hair is. Going into COVID, my stylist Shea McJagger had my hair in a healthy state in a very pretty sunny blonde color. Enter COVID and while locked in with my hair growing out, all I had access to was internet blogs and bad advice, and Sally's beauty supply. I started to bleach to lift, then tone with 40 developer, and my hair color shifted to platinum, which is great and can be pretty but it was unintended for me and was only because I didn't know what I was doing! As the lock down lifted I was able to see a stylist again and went to see Eric, hoping for my unintentional platinum to return to blonde. By luck Michael the owner of Turquoise overheard my concerns of itchy scalp and horrible hair loss and suggested I try Enjoy Holistic shampoo and conditioner because he felt like the pH of the Kevin Murphy Repair.Me.Wash that I had been using was perhaps not balanced. He also had me try Formula 18 mask which uses a polymer to keep strands of hair from rubbing together and being damaged and broken due to friction. I was losing so much hair and it was a disaster, all because of COVID and being locked down. Immediately after using these two products the constant fall and breakage stopped and there is new growth clearly visible. My color is returning to pretty natural blonde again. Thank you Eric for turning my color around. Both he and Michael know what they are doing with color and have skills with products that can help to repair damage done to your hair and scalp. read more

I came in here as a first time client to get a bleach and tone. I have platinum hair but my roots are light brown. The woman who did my hair was very nice, but upon completion, my hair was toned way too much and turned purple. I didn't think too much of it as this always evens itself out with the first wash. I get home and realize she did not lighten the roots on over half of my head! I left a voicemail at salon with no response. I was finally able to reach a receptionist about coming in to fix my hair and I was told the stylist notes said I only wanted the top half of my hair done. I'm unsure how this even makes sense. Why would a platinum blonde only want half of her roots lightened? By this time, the roots that were lightened turned bright orange and the purple still won't go away. I paid $175 and was told I can't get a refund because I only wanted half my roots done according to the receptionist. I was told I can come in and pay full price again to have my hair fixed. There are no openings at the salon either for over a week and live in MI (been in the area for work). Now I'm walking around with orange and purple hair and sn inch of dark roots. read more

Can I give zero stars? Called THREE months in advance to schedule appointments for updo's & makeup for myself, sister & niece for a 6pm wedding we are attending at the Hyatt Lost Pines this Saturday. We selected this Salon instead of the one at the Resort due to the Yelp reviews. When we called today to ask a question about the makeup, we were told they had no appointment on the books for us. The best they could do was squeeze in 1 person at 1pm, and the other 2 at 4pm, meaning we would barely even have time to get back to the resort, get on our dresses & make it to the wedding. And they could give no guarantees we would get done in time. To make matters worse, now the Resort spa and every other Salon in town that we have called are booked. So despite us being proactive enough to call 3 months in advance, we've been left high and dry. So completely disappointing, frustrating, and infuriating. To all event guests at Lost Pines, save yourself the hassle & just book the Resort Salon. read more

I had eyelash extensions by Shaylee before going on vacation. The cost was 100. These were supposed to last 3-5 weeks and I followed her instructions to the T to make sure they lasted. Well, the extensions were done on Thursday and by Tuesday, most of the eyelashes had come off. One eye still had several, but they were clumped up and I could not separate them. Not a good look for my vacation. When I got back, I contacted Shaylee and told her how disappointed I was. Her response to this was "okay, I am sorry they didn't last for you. I'm going to do some research on it because I only have a hard time making them last on older women. I'm thinking the lashes may not be strong enough to hold an extension." I did contact another salon and was told they do lashes on women all the way up in their 70's and have no problems. I relayed this information to Shaylee. I also informed her that from her response, it was apparent she had previous problems and should have given me the option whether I wanted to pay that kind of money and take the chance they would only last 4 days. I had no response back from her. Before writing this review, I sent her another message stating that since I have not heard from her was I correct in assuming that there was nothing else for us to resolve. Still no response. I was so excited to have this done and was so very disappointed in the results and the lack of response afterwards. read more

I just went for the first time today and I loved it! Great atmosphere, workers all seemed to get along and have fun together. I was constantly being checked on and asked if I needed a drink. My appointment was on time. No extra charge for a blow out. I went to Eric. He was amazing. Sweet, attentive, and listened to everything I said. I've never had someone be able to execute what I wanted. Very knowledgeable, and very educated in his field. I obviously can't say enough good about this place. I listened to the reviews on yelp and they still didn't do the salon justice. The atmosphere was awesome and not something I would expect to find in Bastrop. Molly was fantastic. She not only did an amazing job but she fixed the mistakes made by my last stylist. She is extremely talented and takes pride in her work. She even went the extra mile to have someone give me a lesson on how to put beach waves in my hair. I've been searching for a new place to get a hair cut and I was very happy with my experience at the Turquoise Salon. I arrived early for my appointment, but Melisa was able to take me almost immediately. During the conditioner phase of the hair washing, she put a hot wash cloth over my hair to help open the hair cuticle. What a great idea, plus it feels very nice and relaxing. Melisa followed up my shampoo with the best haircut I've had in a long time. She really knows her craft. The Turquoise Salon is clean and attractive, but a little tricky to find if you are unfamiliar with the area. It looks like it's inside a pizza place, but it's not. The sign for the pizza place dominates the front of the building, but as soon as you go through the front entrance, you'll see the salon on the left. read more

Today I saw Lorilyn for a manicure and pedicure. What a wonderful, relaxing experience. She gives the BEST massage with her service. My hands and feet looked and felt FABULOUS!!! The salon is also a lovely place to visit. The staff is very kind and cheerful. The back of the salon is solid windows with lots of natural beautiful light.
