Lots of yummy options. I love that you can sit and relax outside or inside. Your can pick up some goodies to take home or have something delish to stay. Very nice staff. Quaint and cozy.

Tuna salad sandwich with sourdough

Where to begin with this review... Great Harvest has a special spot in my mom's heart since she franchised a bread bakery with her mom when she was young. With this location being the only Great Harvest in the entire state, you'd think it was be at the top of its game. My mom and I had the idea that we'd walk out with a good amount of bread loaves and even eat a delicious lunch while we were there. Unfortunately, their dessert and bread options for that day (we went on a Monday, St Patrick's Day) weren't that great. They had a gingersnap cookie, this coconut scone, and most of the emphasis was on their Irish soda bread (sot surprisingly because of the day we went lol). The cookie and scone flavors didn't appeal to us. We were thinking of getting their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies which are enormous, but they only had them wrapped in packs of six. We weren't about to spend a hefty amount on six of the same cookie. Another thing Great Harvest does is you can sample their breads before purchasing. My mom was disappointed when she asked if she could try some sourdough and was told they didn't have any for tasting that day. The only breads available for sampling was the soda bread and their gluten-free option :/ The cashier in general could've been nicer. She didn't even ask us what kind of bread we wanted for our sandwich; we had to specify sourdough and that's only because we asked if they had sourdough for sampling. Even for that, she was kind of dismissive when telling us they only had like two kinds of bread for sampling that day. Moving on to ordering lunch, we decided to just order one tuna sandwich and splitting it between us. We ordered the tuna salad sandwich on sourdough. Long story short, it was nothing to write home about. The tuna salad was something you'd make at home, and the toppings of lettuce, tomato, and raw red onions were obviously something you could whip together at home. It was $10 and you don't even get a side of ANYTHING. In fact, as the plate arrived at our table, the server was like, "did you guys get chips with that?" We answered that we didn't, and she went in and asked if we usually get a side of chips included with the $10. She came back out and said that we didn't, ultimately. Sad. My mom remarked that the sourdough used for the sandwich wasn't even that true to what sourdough should be; it didn't have any tangy sourness to it that one should expect in an authentic sourdough bread from a literal bread bakery. Anyway, now we know we won't be returning here anytime soon.

Pumpkin chocolate chip

This place is located on NW corner of Warner and McClintock. They are very dog friendly. They even watched my sons dog and there was a water dish when he went to the bathroom. We got the cinnamon roll and pumpkin chocolate chip cake bread (see photos). Both were very good and cinnamon rolls were pretty large. The pumpkin chocolate chip is probably seasonal but very good as well. The people are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Delicious! I had no clue this place was even a thing, but I'm glad I do now. Knocks competitors out of the park! The Spicy Turkey Pepper Jack Sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in recent memory. The Lotus Energy Drink was great too. They had so many flavors! I'm impressed, and will hopefully be back one day.

They have great bread, have been getting things there off and on for years. Happened to order a side of cole slaw when I was there for something else. Tiny little cup for 5.00. Not a good deal at all. I'll stick to the bread.

I have ordered bread from Great Harvest for my Thanksgiving Spread for the past 7 years! I drive from Scottsdale every year for this traditional pilgrimage so my table is adorned with these mouth watering "turkey" bread loafs and of course the rolls, too! Staff is courteous and the vibe is so festive! Consistently a wonderfully delicious product! Try this gem of a bakery ! Gluten free products available

Came here to pick up some pastries I ordered online! I got some sugar cookies, cinnamon roll, and morning bun. I also got a blueberry iced latte but I was pleasantly surprised to see they had other seasonal varieties: pistachio matcha, lavender white mocha... Service was quick and they also had a little grocery in the front of the store for various milled grains and honey. We will be coming back!

This is a great little lunch stop if you work in the area. They have a good salad and sandwich selection, and I like that they have gluten free options. I wish they had gluten free pastries that varied instead of just the cinnamon roll they always have, and the gluten free bread isn't very good, but A for effort. The coffee is pretty food, but not as good as a shop that specializes in coffee. I do like that they change up the menu with regular specials. Service is nice, and I enjoy browsing the little shop while I wait. Solid middle of the road lunch spot.

Found this little gem by accident. I passed by and made a point to come back. I do my best to support small businesses. They do coffee, salads, and all kinds of sandwiches. I couldn't make up my mind, so I asked the opinion of the staff. The two most popular sandwiches are the smoked turkey goddess (cold) and the Tuscan chicken (hot) so I ordered them both. They make all their breads from scratch. They have a cinnamon chip loaf and a cinnamon loaf. I really wanted to buy one... But I would end end up eating it all myself with a side of butter. I waited about 10 minutes for my sandwiches. I took them outside. I was starving I ate one half of each. The sandwiches didn't disappoint. Tasty and best of all made from scratch bread. I wish they had a location closer. If I was in the area I would definitely make the effort to go by.

Good sandwiches with ample sizes. Prices are a bit high for a sandwich. I wish their menu was more extensive.

I was killing time in Chandler when lunch time approached and getting a sandwich was on my brain…read more Thanks to the Yelp app, I was able to find Retro's Subs & Brews and it seemed like the perfect spot to cure my itch. I was super stoked to check a place with "retro" in the name out, and I gotta be honest here, I left with pretty mixed emotions about a lot of things. The restaurant itself is pretty boring inside, mostly just being black with a few small pictures hanging up. I was kind of expecting big retro movie posters or something hanging around, but I definitely didn't get much of a retro vibe from this place minus a small neon "bar" sign and a claw machine in the corner. The menus were very cool, right by the front door its a record shelf and the records were the menus, so thumbs up for that idea. I thought i was mistaken, but I don't remember seeing sandwich prices on the actual menu, but as I look at other photos on yelp it does appear that the sandwiches don't have prices attached to them, which explains why I was thrown off by the end price. I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. Overall, I really wanted to love this place for the name, but the lack of much decorations and prices left something to be desired. The food itself was good, but not worth what was spent.

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND READ THIS--Portillo's at 7200 W Ray Rd in Chandler Has Just Redefined…read more"Heaven on a Plate" with the BIG BEEF DIPPED and That CHEESE SAUCE... OMG! I've had Italian Beef before. I've loved Italian Beef before. But nothing--NOTHING--prepared me for the transcendent, jaw-dropping, flavor-explosion experience that is ordering the Big Beef DIPPED at this Chandler location. If you haven't done it yet, you haven't lived. And if you've had it elsewhere but haven't had it here with their cheese sauce... well, buckle up, because you're about to discover your new favorite thing on the entire planet. From the second you walk into Portillo's on Ray Road, you can smell the magic--crisp sport peppers, rich au jus, and that unmistakable aroma of slow-roasted beef that makes your stomach growl instantly. But the real moment of truth comes when you look that server in the eye and say: "I'll take the Big Beef, DIPPED, LOADED with cheese sauce. And I mean loaded." Watch their face light up--they know. They understand. This is not just a sandwich; it's a ritual, and this location performs it with reverence. Then it arrives. Oh. My. Goodness. The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.

Before even stepping into the building, I was excited because the outside looked like something from a Western movie. There was plenty of parking, and from the parking lot being majority-filled, I knew this would be a good stop. You can also see the outdoor seating from the parking lot, and it was filled with a couple families. The walk in directs you straight to the smokehouse/restaurant. You order at the counter, and then you either get a seat number and choose a seat or wait at the counter for pick up. There was a decent sized menu of bbq options, sides and drinks. The dessert display was filled with what looked to be DELECTABLE goodies! :) (this is what I'd try when I come back, FOR SURE!). I ordered the double meat platter with a half rack of ribs and brisket. The sides were chose were baked beans and Mac and cheese. The platter came with the two rolls, as well. This was to share with one other person. I'd say the ribs were okay, not my favorite! The brisket, on the other hand, had a PERFECT Smokey taste. The Mac and cheese was okay and so were the baked beans (they were super sweet, if that's what you're going for!). Add the regular bbq sauce on the side for dipping and you've got a tasty meal! After dining, we were able to go around the antique shop in the back. It was HUGE! And it kept GOING AND GOING! There here vendors of all sorts from furniture to home goods to jewelry to clothes/shoes. There's a little something for everyone here! There was even a hidden (I guess not hidden if you know about it), second hand, vintage clothing store in the very back. I didn't walk out with anything, but it was as worth the window shopping! The exit was through the antique shop near the cash wrap. Overall, the experience was lovely. The food was in the mid range for me, but I'd come back for dessert and the shopping.
