These ladies do a wonderful job. This is our goto place for bread. I love the Farmhouse White and my wife loves the 10 grain and Dakota bread. The other breads are top notch also but I'm gettin' old and I can't grab a loaf of of their cinnamon bread and finish in a day any more. Good bread and a very friendly staff. My wife and I parked near by with the intent of waking past this place, and we did initially... but the splendid and tempting odor of fresh baked bread emanating from the building drew us in as we were returning back to our car. As we stepped through the threshold the teasing scent we enjoyed earlier became an overwhelming aroma of freshly baked bread and all of the goodness there in. Though we had no need for any of the things they sold we were compelled to purchase by the richness in the air. After completing our transaction the smiling face behind the counter offered a heavenly slice of hot freshly baked honey wheat bread. We gleefully accepted and he dutifully carved a steaming slab of fresh goodness from the loaf and bestowed it upon us. The bread was delicious, warm, somewhat sweet and went great with the butter on the counter-top. My wife complained that the bread seemed a little "doughy" and had a bit much flour. I'm not real sure why this place has operating hours when they don't follow them. I've never come across such a thing lol. I placed a DoorDash pick up order during my lunch break, and I arrived for pickup (doors open) for staff to inform me that it had been canceled because they were closed even though I arrived 20 minutes before closing time at 3pm. Extremely inconsiderate considering I only had a 30 minute lunch break so yes, I went lunchless today due to their bad business practice lol. You would think that if somebody showed up 20 minutes before close for their pickup order, they would have offered to make the sandwich for me. Now that I think about it... Excellent spelt bread. The ten grain is also really nice. The fresh milled flour and no preservatives really make this bread stand out. The bread isn't compromised in the freezer, which is helpful since we rarely burn through a loaf before it starts to harden. Given the density, I find it perfect for toast and a bit too heavy for sandwiches (my husband disagrees). Compared to grocery store organic bread, the price is only $1.50 more per loaf. My latte was free because they were still learning how to make coffee (they're bakers by training but trying to beef up their barista chops). Stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches to take to the pool. The cashier was very sweet and apologetic for the fact that after we ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches with egg and paid for them they realized they only had a couple eggs left and couldn't fulfill our order. They were also out of avocado, sourdough bread and white bread. We came in at 9:30am on a Friday assuming it was early enough, but I think calling ahead or pre-ordering by phone would have been the best bet. I mean this in only the most constructive way possible, but when you changed the recipe for of the berry cream cheese scone a couple of years ago, it was by far for the worse. They're smaller, the scone doesn't taste as good, and there are less berries and cream cheese. Today I had one berry and one small bit of cream cheese. I basically ate a big, overly sweet biscuit.
