    Mini buns

I had a mini bun and a drip coffee and just hung out. Nice vibe on a quiet morning. The mini bun was surprisingly perfect - not overdone, frosted enough but not over frosted, and good sugary bites in the middle.

I absolutely adore everything from Great Harvest Bread Co. and this location doesn't disappoint. Delicious, high quality, fresh, dense baked goods and bread that pack big flavor punches. Great portions too. This time we tried the breakfast roll (with ham and cheese, $5) and the Earth Scone ($3). Both incredible. The chicken salad sandwich ($7-8?) was also great. The lady helping us out was also so nice. Location in downtown Bend.

Not bad! We both had the turkey chipotle sandwhich. It was huge. The sandwhich was a little bland but it was still good.We were both surprised being a bakery and all the bread was just OK.

My wife and I parked near by with the intent of waking past this place, and we did initially... but the splendid and tempting odor of fresh baked bread emanating from the building drew us in as we were returning back to our car. As we stepped through the threshold the teasing scent we enjoyed earlier became an overwhelming aroma of freshly baked bread and all of the goodness there in. Though we had no need for any of the things they sold we were compelled to purchase by the richness in the air. After completing our transaction the smiling face behind the counter offered a heavenly slice of hot freshly baked honey wheat bread. We gleefully accepted and he dutifully carved a steaming slab of fresh goodness from the loaf and bestowed it upon us. The bread was delicious, warm, somewhat sweet and went great with the butter on the counter-top. My wife complained that the bread seemed a little "doughy" and had a bit much flour. What I think she really meant was that this bread is filling, delicious, and worthy of being enjoyed alone.

Who knew one could find Paris quality croissants in Bend, Oregon?…read more We were in town for our family reunion and two summers ago we held it at the Paris Olympics so our point of comparison is valid. Twice I went to M's to pick up a large assortment of pastries for our family of 21 and everything was outstanding and compared favorably to the best we had in France. We were staying at the Riverhouse Lodge and it was an easy 7 minute drive to get to the Old Mill location with plenty of parking. Both days no chocolate/almond croissant, which was sad. Standouts: - almond croissant 5/5 - chocolate croissant 5/5 - ham and cheese croissant 5/5 - gochujang twist 5*5 (so unique and so bummed they didn't have it the second day) - kouigh amman 5/5 - almond pecan sandie 5/5 Solid choices: - monkey bread 4/5 (a bit smaller than what I'm used to and more bready than pastry, no frosting as I'm more used to seeing) - milk bread 4/5 (solid offering) - blueberry scone 4/5 (a little bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat but still yummy) - blueberry buckwheat muffin 4/5 (also a bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat, but still yummy) We didn't try any of their breads but the selection looks great!

This week I stopped in at the Old Mill location itself for coffee and a couple pastries. - Cinnamon roll: comes drenched in sugar glaze (as is proper). Delicious. - Almond croissant: Tasty with good flakiness. There were a lot of other pastries available that I would definitely try. Coffee was decent, too.

They have breakfast and lunch and a solid kids menu. The pastry case looks great! I love that there are gluten free pastries and clearly marked menu items without gluten. I had the Benedict with carnitas on a gluten free bagel. The pork was delicious. The portion was generous. Lots of Hollandaise sauce. Crispy potatoes. All very good. I couldn't finish. My husband had the breakfast sandwich (not gf) and said the lemon aioli was great. It's out of the way if you are staying near downtown, but worth the drive.

We sat outside in the heated tent with our fur baby - they are dog- friendly. Food & Service are fantastic! Lives up to reputation for being best Brunch Spot in Bend. Hubby had classic Eggs Benedict that he said was very good. I started with a warm Chai and a Bobbin for Apples Mimosa which was magical. Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.
