I am happy to report that M's is my new daily destination for pastries at the Old Mill. This is a bakery that could compete with the best pattiseries and boulangeries in Paris. They offer croissants, almond croissants, chocolate croissants, seasonal chuffins, ham & cheese croissants, monkey bread, kougi amann, blueberry muffins, gluten-free cookies, and more. I always leave with one or two boxes full of treats. I've tried their olive sourdough, which I found to be excellent, if albeit pricey-enough to make it a rarer purchase for me. They have an excellent selection of coffees, as you'd expect. But the thing I must emphasize is that we have a bakery *right here* in Bend that could hold its own against the best in France! The chef and owner Kamal came by our table to thank us for coming in and tell us about a jazz club called Cellar 65 they have downstairs where they offer different cuisine experiences throughout the year.
