We purchased Mohawk Smart Strand Silk reserve Pet carpet. Super soft super durable. Great. Fine. We had the carpet installed before we moved in. We then had a flood (lucky us) the insurance approved carpet replacement in the whole home. Great. However, they delivered and installed the wrong carpet. I could tell it was a cheap imitation and luckily I had the sample and the original carpet leftovers. This new carpet fibers were not woven the same, not as dense and when I reached out to the install manager, he came over and said the carpet was correct. This AH ignored my calls and emails for MONTHS! I sent macro photos of the carpet strands showing a huge difference in density and weave. Also the new carpet was scratchy. Our original carpet was silky and plush. He did the ol switcharoo with .99 builders grade BS. The carpet we got was (I believe) $7.99 sqft. I found the regional manager on linked in and sent an email asking what was up. Along with that, I attached every single communication to this install manager and a call log of missed calls to his number. Suffice it to say the regional manager emailed me straight away and the install manager got the problem fixed within a week. This was a six month ordeal... I will never trust them again. If you bought expensive carpet and your carpet is wearing, I'd go get samples of the carpet you chose and compare fibers. My guess is that what they did isn't uncommon. read more

This is a review pre hiring them for any install. 5 stars for Mark and showroom sample collection. I am reviewing the Bellevue show room. There is a huge array of choice. The staff seem to understand and know the product very well. I have been helped by a few people. Most recently I've been working with Mark Smith, who you see in the photos. I have appreciated his knowledge and integrity. That is why I will return why I would certainly recommend them. Between his integrity and knowledge and the ample selection of products Because I have not hired them, a four for the overall seems most fair. Also we had some challenges months back on wood floor quote miscommunication but that was Not Mark. They have been extremely busy and that out some strain on the staff who could have used more folks. We picked a gorgeous product in large format tiles, and their incompetent delivery crew broke two packs of the tiles, sidelining our entire project. The crew is not even outfitted with a truck with a lift. The tiles were stacked in an A-frame pallet and the crew had to unload them one by one, in and out of the truck multiple times. This incompetent crew completely unloaded one side of the A-frame and then the other side tipped over smashing 2 of our 70kg/154lb packs. I watched it with my own eyes! THEN I immediately called the store and email them photos of the damaged product saying we needed an immediate replacement so we could move forward with our project. We feel we were de-priotized by the salesman because he didn't earn the commission on our order, because the person who did earn the commission had left. This same salesman wasted time shielding the supplier from us when we should have been able to have a direct conversation. I called & emailed him multiple times as did our contractor scheduler. On one of these occasions he made me send yet more photographs as proof when he already had photographs in his email! It took 4 weeks to receive a single replacement packet (thus stalling our project) when we should have gotten 2 replacement packs. Also, the delivery people just showed up and didn't call ahead. The more I think about it the madder I get. ------------------------------------------ update: AFTER THEY BROKE OUR TILES during deliver, AFTER they ignored our request for replacement tiles and took weeks of prodding to get replacements AFTER ALL THAT, We discovered that they sneakily charged EXTRA on ON THE DAY they delivered our tile!! It's unbelieveable. AFTER all the foot dragging and getting ignore by the sales people! And they clearly had friends/family/employees post glowing reviews after ours on Google. I'm now on the phone with AmEx to dispute this sneaky charge of $220!! read more

Our carpet runner is in and it looks fantastic. I couldn't be happier. Hector and crew did a perfectionist's job on the installation and every time I go up and down our stairs I'm so appreciative of their quality work and their attention to detail with both measuring and install, right down to the alignment of the pad that you can't see but that is exactly accurately lined up under the carpet. It is perfectly done. Runner has been meticulously crafted and assembled prior to install. Loran was super helpful with getting the carpet ordered and measured, and with all the details involved in one small runner (they have a LOT of details!) from ordering to measuring, construction, and install. Note that it was three months almost to the day from when we ordered the carpet to the point when we were walking on it in our home. (We had a small job that had a lot of detail work, and it went through some special handling.) While it's so awesome that I wish we'd had it sooner - to get this level of quality it was worth the wait. read more

We got sold a floor and we were delighted when it was installed. Now, 20 months later, there are large splotches in the traffic areas. When I contacted them, they asked me to send photos which I did. I've never heard back from them. I don't know if the product failed or it was improperly installed, but no service is no service. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Worst vinyl job ever. When I had great floors redo my kitchen vinyl floors with a more hardwood style pattern, it came out with cottage cheese bumps throughout the entire floor in the kitchen where the light shines in. The installer said it was because of moisture under my flooring although my last vinyl i had installed was smooth with no issues. The salesperson was amazing and came out and saw the problems and was as upset and empathetic as I was. However when Dave the manager came out, said he said he couldn't see anything wrong ( even though the installer and 2 builders i work with had stopped by and noticed the flooring dimples and remarked upon it). So now I have to find another company and pay for new vinyl and get it reinstalled by a professional company or go crazy seeing the crap job they did and the fact they don't stand by their products or work. read more

Front desk admin followed me out to parking lot & apologizes on the store's behalf, "Stating it's not me, it's him". Obviously not the first complaint from customers. I wouldn't even give this place a one star if I knew how. Jim, the manager, totally unprofessional. Used them for an insurance bathroom repair 9 months ago. Grout is already coming out. Tiles are not straight. Tiles are chipping at doorway. They sanded my stained hardwood floor to level with bathroom. Looks not so good. Manager actually hung up on conference call. I just want my bathroom done properly. I guess this is not the place to go. 06/29/17 still can't get anyone from corporate to reply. I have called. Been promised that this issue will be investigated. Whatever! I am now forced to go back through insurance company to see if they can get this company to finish the work they have already been paid in full. What horrible customer service. I actually had Jim, manager in Bellevue accuse me of recording conversation while I was putting headset on. First, I wasn't recording, but if I was, what is it he was so worried about? If you are doing right thing, you have nothing to hide right? 08/20/17 received statement from Great Floors Bellevue in the amount of $947.13. Why I would pay them in addition to having their job removed and reinstalled, I will never know. I called Bellevue and corporate. Unfortunately, no one knew what the charge was on my statement. GF installed carpet in our home a few years ago. It now needs replacing, but after six weeks of trying to get them to be responsive, I give up. Example - a week ago they finally asked if I wanted someone to come out to measure. I said 'yes, when can you schedule?'. Since that time, nothing but a black hole. The installation of my carpet was very disappointing. Our house was freshly painted, including new baseboards throughout the house. The carpet installation was the only thing that happened in the house after the painting. We were very clear to be careful around the freshly painted baseboards. That did not happen. In total there are 25 nicks in the baseboards, big and small. When I communicated the issue, the sales person said it is "normal for there to be some damage". Unfortunately, there is damage in every room and the stairs look worse than the stairs in my previous house that had 15 years of wear and tear on them. When I asked for a reasonable credit (the cost of having the painters come back and touch up all the nicks), Great Floors felt the need to negotiate and only offered half the cost. I will not use or recommend them again. read more

Great Floors Bellevue Store... So much more than just floors My family just commenced our third project with the Great Floors Bellevue team. In the past, we had all of the builder-grade carpet removed from the first story of our home and had engineered hardwood and tile installed. Our second project was carpet for the upstairs of our home. We had been so thrilled with past flooring projects we were encouraged to learn that Great Floors can tackle more extensive projects that involve remodeling. In addition, we had a dated bathroom with an adjacent walk-in closet that was in dire need of a remodel. Bobbie Graff was more than a designer for the project; she brought ideas and visions that my wife and I never considered. Jason Li and his team handled the reconstruction and transformation of the bathroom to include two new windows. Dave Rengo, the store manager, was incredibly supportive and friendly. It speaks volumes when a team's leadership makes a point of saying hello to a customer. The builder-grade bathroom was a fiberglass all-in-one shower/bath insert; after Bobbie and Jason did their magic, we now have a stand-alone tile shower stall and bathtub. Bobbi and Jason were patient and meticulous with every decision and adjustment made throughout the project. Bobbi encouraged us to visit the store and bring home samples as often as needed to feel comfortable with our selections. There was no rushing the process; we always felt at ease and encouraged as we selected materials. We are so happy with the new bathroom and closet. Extremely poor customer service. Put a 50% deposit down a stair runner and I had to call a total of ten times to get the job finished. Never received a return call. They said that the sales rep that took my order up and quit. Apparently they just tossed out all her outstanding orders?? It took four and a half months to complete a small staircase runner. I was told I would get a discount on the balance due for all my trouble with their company. But then somehow I was misquoted in the original order so no discount. Interesting. read more

Great Floors Bellevue is not so Great. I can't really blame the employees because I heard they haven't had a raise in years so they put in minimal effort. Throw the pandemic on top of this and the employees have checked out. Communication and scheduling was a shit show. If I were the scheduler I'd give customers 3 day window for the install and explain to customers were in a pandemic and having labor shortages, and not sure who will show up when, ya know be honest. And don't expect even a minimum basic clean up after installation! read more

I am not impressed with their customer service. After six weeks and many emails, with no apologies for the delays, we finally received our requested carpet samples. We took it to Haight Carpet, where the customer service was awesome. They were friendly, efficient and attentive, unlike Great Floors. Less than a week later, our carpet is ordered and will be installed soon. read more

Update. After calling for two weeks and missing the promised installation finish date I had to file a dispute with American Express to get a response. The store manager finally called back annoyed that I filed a dispute because it meant he had paper work. The absolute worst experience i've had in carpet selection, installation and service. from selection to incorrect installation, it took 3 months. the carpet was a second at best. snag in center and vertical stripes not lined up. pad installed incorrectly. honestly, i would have worked with them on a reorder and installation, but their continual inability to return calls and extremely poor customer service (the manager actually told me to "ask my husband to explain washington state law re: request for refund), i will never use them again nor will i recommend them. read more

Do not use these guys. I am three months into working with them and my house is stil in shambles, wood floor is half done on the main floor, all of the upstairs carpet has not been done. I cannot complete the rest of my remodel as they hold me hostage. Midway through the job they sent me a bill for $8,000 in extra charges which i refused to pay and they now agree i am only responsible for a small fraction of that amount but they will not tell me how much. At the same time they say my non agreement (to a number i don't know) is what is delaying them from ordering the final items they need to finish. These items are weeks out so even if we agreed tomorrow the job will not get finished for 1-2 months. This is a complete disaster. Run the other way. The manager Jim Kerrick has been informed on this every step of the way and all he has to say about it is that I should work with Hayden my salesperson who is non responsive. Thanks, Craig read more

HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE RENOVATION AND BUYING EXPERIENCE AVOID SHOPPING HERE This is an update. They made good on their threat of a lien. They tried to bully me into paying before I could get an independent hardwood flooring inspector out to check out the floors. For the last month I have been arguing with Great Floors about the floor popping noises, the lack of expansion gaps and getting an inspector. When I said I am getting my own inspector they started threatening a lien. Sometimes with up to 6 emails per day! Their small print says we have to abide by their inspectors conclusions. Which too me meant when their hired gun inspector concludes that there is nothing wrong with your floor. The flooring inspector has found that there are in most places NO EXPANSION GAPS and the FLOORS ARE CUPPING. Cupping means the floors are bent in a U-shape. The nightmare continues. read more

We were genuinely amazed by the talented designers and a vast amount of selection options! Jason did a fantastic job helping us selecting the colors and styles for our floors, cabinets, and counter top quartz, which we were very happy and satisfied with. Spent $10k on materials there a few years back, so this time bought and had them install $2500 carpet. Installers weren't very great, no masks(whatever), unfriendly, left large gaps between existing baseboard (b/c I wasn't warned that might happen). A couple spots were egregious so called immediately to have it fixed. Took a couple more calls to get the install mgr Anthony to come out. Pretty unhelpful, totally unapologetic like I was wasting his time. Installer apparently showed up unannounced a few days later when I wasn't home, more calls went unreturned so I finally went in to complain to Bill about how unhappy I was. STILL no word a few days later about repair. Complained to Manager Dave (now weeks later, and apparently unaware I'm still unrepaired) that NOBODY had EVER called me ONCE to see if all was OK. Said he'd call by end of day w/ repair time and they would call before arriving. No call of course. Finally, a guy shows up few days later again unannounced when I'm totally unprepared in my pajamas, and sorta fixed it a little. After all that, and my expressing my extreme dissatisfaction, nobody ever called to make sure it was fixed. Totally avoid. read more

Note, I'm only reviewing their show room and initial impression since we decided to go with a different carpeting company, but I was pleasantly impressed by the part of the experience I did complete there. Showroom: lots of carpet (and hardwood, but I wasn't in the market for that). Salesman: Bill was friendly, helpful without being pushy, willing to take time (admittedly on a slow morning) to write out several estimates and give me a sample of carpet. Carpet: They seem to range from $2.50 / ft^2 up to however much you are willing to pay. I think they have a few cheaper things (less than $0.99/ft^2), but I wasn't interested in them so didn't look closely. Installers: They have their own installers rather than a fleet of sub-contractors. read more

First I walked in the store nobody greeted me while I was looking at samples. I had to go ask for help, when I did, I got handed off twice before getting to guy named rod. He prceeded to ask about insurance claim and how much the total pay out was for. I told him I just wanted to get few samples to check color and wood and he again didnt want to help with samples. Stay away from this used car lot for floors and go somewhere they will trully try and help you get what you need. read more

Very professional sales team and install services. I'm a Realtor and needed to choose a quality, but reasonably priced carpet for a high rise condo sale. Mark Smith, my sales & project coordinator, dialed in quickly, provided a few choices, confirmed availability, and I was out of there in less an hour. When I had logistic issues with the HOA for install and had to reschedule 2 times, Great Floors moved heaven and earth and met my deadline. Highly recommend! read more

I ordered Cork Flooring Quality: Looks great. Selection: I went to two other floor place and GF was the only one with the unique look I was going for. They also had similar styles as the other stores. Sales Staff: So, I found my perfect floor and the price was right. Then Hurricane Sandy it and threw off the timeline (which would have totally sucked--you know how construction timelines are--everything has to happen in order). Bill (my sales guy), called every warehouse in the country to find more stock for me. Success--he got me what I needed out of Colorado. And he got it there on time. I recently bought a new home and needed to replace the existing carpet. I assumed the price of carpet was not as much as it really is and was quite shocked when I started shopping around. I did not need a lot of carpet, just about 500sq ft for the rooms in my home that needed carpet. I shopped a few locations, but kept coming back to Great Floors. Mainly due to the salesman I was working with. 'Jerry' at the Bellevue store spent a lot of time with me picking out carpet and making suggestions. I eventually went with a remnant in one room and an in-stock carpet in the other. For the price, I couldn't be happier. Both carpets are what I wanted, and although a bit more than I originally budgeted for, a good deal... The installation was great. I am not sure if they use the same installer on everything, but my installation was on time and looks great. The gentleman that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable.
