    Half cheese, half pepperoni pizza
    Nicole S.

Dropped by for a quick bite with the fambam en route home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is cozy, just three tables for 4 each. Clean and the young lady at the front was a gem, juggling all the tables like a pro and making sure to check in on us frequent but not overbearing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We punched in our order on the screen in the front, but you can order with the staff too. Now, onto the grub - a half cheese, half pepperoni medium pizza and a side of 6 buffalo wings. The order was lightning-fast, and the food arrived pronto. Wings were the classic buffalo deal, nice and crispy, but a tad saucy for my taste. Pro tip: eat 'em quick before they go soggy. 4/5 stars. There are no fountain drinks, all drinks are bottled which is convenient but ends up being pricey. 3/5 stars. The pizza was an extra saucy affair, so if you're a light saucer, speak up when you order. Still, it was a hit with the family. 4/5 stars. Would swing by again for sure - top-notch service and decent eats.

Called for pick up and was ready by the time we showed up from leaving Grassfield Walmart! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and organized inside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are a little better than the chain pizza shops. The subs are a great size! The Philly cheese had great flavor with lots of meat. The meat lovers pizza was loaded as well! The pepperoni was ok, kinda tasted like everyone else's and very greasy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall wasn't horrible next time will eat inside for better experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The decor inside is pretty simple. I ordered my (1) slice of cheese pizza and large cheesy bread online. It was ready when promised. The cheese slice was huge! The crust on the pizza slice looked a bit weird. Not bad for $7. The large cheesy bread was a large pizza size of garlic buttery cheese bread and I was there for it! Pretty food. I will be back sometime in the future to try other menu items.

When I noticed a new pizza restaurant was going into Battlefield Shopping Center in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake I was intrigued. I found their Facebook page and began to follow their journey. Great Bridge Pizza is located between Buckets Bar and Grill and Sunrise Breakfast Shoppe. I believe Buckets and GBP share the same ownership. They've only been open less than a week but have already proven themselves a great asset to the Chesapeake pizza scene. I got my first order from them today. Ordering online was quick and easy and my order was ready when I arrived to pick it up. The large (14 inch) pizza was fabulous. The crust was superb and baked just right. I really enjoyed the sauce as well. The fresh toppings (pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers) were abundant and the whole pie was a medley of delicious flavors and textures. The chicken wings were fresh and hot and oh so enjoyable. They were just slightly crunchy and very flavorful. I wish Great Bridge Pizza much success. They are off to a great start. The location is very convenient for me and the staff is friendly and inviting so I am sure I will be back in the near future.

something about the crust, first couple times it was great, I think they changed to store bought not hand tosse. Not sure I'll be back.

Excellent service and delicious food, especially the Pizza. Tastes a lot like New York style. Their fries are top notch also.

Just didn't pair well Finally the pizza itself - I know some of you are gonna say it's because I ordered pineapple on my pizza but the online menu said "best seller" so I tried it. The sauce is extremely bland & just had no taste or flavor. There are corp pizza places with better tasting sauce. On top of all this, the cost was $36 for one 16" pizza, cheese bread & a can drink - well over priced for the value of food I always like to give 2nd chances so I may try them again if I'm in the area but I'm also sure there's other local spots that might have better consistent good food for the price.

Not fancy, just a simple NY style pizza spot in Chesapeake. I got the pizza special which is 2…read moreslices of pizza and a fountain drink for $10.65. Hits the spot and not very pricy. It seems popular for lunch as three other people came in while I was waiting for the pizza to come out. Pro tip: the shakers with the cheese are in the refrigerator with the soft drinks and the pepper flakes are in a basket by the soda machine.

Trust the over 250 solid reviews on here praising this place and ignore the 10 disgruntled folks…read morewho clearly suffer from Karen/kevin syndrome. This is THE spot for locals in the Portsmouth area. It's no surprise you see reviews from patrons who drive from all over the Hampton Roads area to visit this gem! Service is so friendly and you can tell it is a TEAM! I sat at the bar so got to watch the open kitchen in action. Their system is down pat and you can tell everyone enjoys working with each other. Each dish I watched from prep to service was handled with meticulous care. PRIDE IN WORK AT ITS FINEST! Everyone works to serve you as a team as well, no worry about "bothering" another member of the staff for something, everyone wants you to enjoy your meal. I can tell there are a lot of local regulars as the staff was engaged on a level you only see when your clientele is consistent and have a vested interest in the success of the business. I've been to 16 countries and travelled all over the states, this is truly one of the most friendly establishments I've had the pleasure of being hosted at. On to the food! I see a few people complain about the small menu, that is the SMARTEST thing a business can do. Focus on what you're good at and demolish the competition. High Street Pizza and Pour delivers on this. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the meatballs, the special for their pizza pie of the night (a pork belly, red onion, jalapeño, bbq drizzle dream boat of a pie), a tiramisu and two cocktails. The food in pictures looked smaller than in person... omg I ordered for about 4-5 people! But everyone was soooo good. Meatballs were tender with a fantastic red sauce. Pizza had a crispy buttery crust and the pork belly was rendered perfectly. Tiramisu was fantastic (not sure if that's an in house make or pre done, but it was on point), and the cocktails were perfectly poured with just the right amount of liquor. I left with probably two meals worth of takeout the portions were so large and I can't wait until I'm hungry again. I'm new to the neighborhood and as everyone knows, you need to find your fav local spot to frequent. I'm proud to report, High Street Pizza and Pour House has just taken that spot!

It's my own fault. Being a vegan in a world where eateries are not always vegan friendly, I have to…read moredo a lot of research before I even go to a restaurant. And I didn't do enough research about High Street Pizza, I guess. I always check the menu before I even leave the house when going out to eat. I look for vegan friendly items, and sometimes I call to confirm. The exception is PIZZA. Whenever my not-vegan husband and I decide on pizza, I already know I can customize any pizza with veggies instead of meat and cheese. It was date night Thursday, and High Street Pizza had awesome reviews. I did the "vegan thing" and checked the menu first. I found a lot of vegetable toppings, so I knew I could craft a pizza to my liking. We drove from Va Beach to Portsmouth for dinner. I learned that I cannot craft a pizza with no meat and cheese because High Street Pizza will not make a pizza without cheese. I had no idea you can't just take cheese off of pizza. I do it all the time at other pizza places, but the pizza here must be constructed with cheese. I was told I could get vegan cheese, but I didn't want that. Option 2-order a salad. I opted for the Greek Salad, hold the feta. And since the menu said it came with a red wine vinaigrette dressing, I could eat that instead. After placing our orders, the waitress returned and informed me the red wine vinaigrette was made with mayonnaise at High Street Pizza. The very name of the dressing is a list of the ingredients: Red wine Vinegar How does MAYONNAISE get in there? I even Googled it to make sure I wasn't getting it confused: extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, mustard, oregano, and salt Of course, the dressing can be altered to be "creamy". And yes, there is a CREAMY red wine vinaigrette. But that's not what the menu said. High Street Pizza listed the dressing as just "red wine vinaigrette." I didn't eat anything that evening, but my husband loved every morsel of his sausage and mushroom pie, however. He even said it was one of the best pizzas he ever had! In their defense, High Street Pizza doesn't tout themselves as a vegan friendly restaurant. I am not disappointed about the pizza because my choice not to eat vegan cheese is my preference. They tried to offer an alternative, I chose not to opt for the cheese alternative. Consider listing your salad dressing as "creamy red wine vinaigrette" though. It makes a huge difference leaving the word out.
