First, let me start by saying that I have been to this location many times over the years with multiple cars. And I have never had an issue. This was not the case yesterday. Yesterday I went in and got a oil change on my van. The next morning I was driving, the check engine light came on and I started hearing a " chicking" or " ticking " noise every time I press the accelerator. I hurried up and drove it back to location that did the oil change. I explained what was going on with the van. The gentleman tht came out to assist me said he would take a look.
While I was standing there looking, another man came. He then went through the motions of checking my oil. Pulling the dipstick out cleaning it then putting the dipstick in and pulling it out then looking at the stick. He proceeded to tell me that I was using the wrong kind of oil on this van. I replied by saying I only use what It is recommended for my vehicle. I reminded him that I was just there the day before, why wasn't I told then. . He said well someone should have told you. Then he went to driver seat of my van and called another gentleman over to car. Saying " you need to come here" ,to him. I couldn't see or hear what they were saying, so I went in the lobby and sat to wait. About five minutes later that gentleman came into the lobby and told me that they did nothing wrong to my car, It must be something else wrong. I tried to rebuttal but he wasn't listening. I asked him is he gonna listen to me? He said there's nothing to listen to. I asked to speak to a manager. He's said he was an assistant manager.
I asked to speak to someone above him. He walked out and slam the door behind him. A few minutes after Is another gentleman came, He said your car is ready to go. I say what did you guys do? He said nothing . You need a thermostat for the coolant. We put oil in your car yesterday. He would not listen , he shut me down. I said this is no way to treat a customer. I am just bring it back because you guys just worked on it yesterday. He said to me look at your car! What do you mean by that? I said. He kept repeating it. Look at your car! Look at your car. He was trying to shame me about the condition of my car. Now I have a dented finder from someone hitting me. And the inside of my car is not the cleanest. I have 4 active boys, that play multiple sports. I have a lot of equipment in my car. I left there feeling defeated. But as I was driving off, I did not hear the clicking sound anymore, and the car we're driving much smoother. Check engine light was still on. I believe, when he checked the oil, he noticed there was no oil in my van, That's why he called the other man over. But I have no proof, But when I got home my son and I checked it, there was clean oil in there. But Nevertheless they made me feel like shit. They were totally out of line, I was just treated horribly. They took my seventy five dollars the day before with no problem. No one should be treated like that.
