Kearney Garage attempted to charge me $800 to replace all 4 TPMS in my wheels. This monitors your tire pressure. You can buy all 4 of these sensors for under $30 on Amazon. I got the entire job done- parts, labor, computer calibration, and tax for $115 somewhere else. They also attempted to add on a brake fluid flush without me knowing it, when what I asked for was front brake pads and rotors. Beware! read more

I don't trust this place. I have had 2 bad experiences in a row with inflated estimates/repairs not all of which were needed and not backing up a warranty for brakes/rotors after 15 months of use. They told me that the rotors installed were not made like my original rotors and I would need to pay $700 to replace the warped rotors along with brake pads (which were fine). These were previously replaced by Kearney Garage in May 2023 and cost $1500 for front and back. Why would I pay another $700 plus when they would install the same cheap rotors which won't last? Install better parts and honor the warranty and you won't have negative reviews. read more

Beware of double market rate prices and fabricated issues. Pride/Kearney installed struts incorrectly, which led to struts failing. I took it in to get things looked out as they are under warranty and in turn was told by the garage that the mounts were broken and quoted over $600 to replace just one. I was quoted half of their price at two different shops. Upon taking my car elsewhere it was revealed that the struts were installed incorrectly and I am now having to pay out of pocket to fix their mistake and an alignment. This is not the first time we've felt taken advantage of and definitely not the first time overcharged. We will file with the Better Business Bureau to address. Despite being a business in my neighborhood we rather take a 30 min trip to a more cost effective and transparent mechanic. read more

I'm going 5 stars with these guys. They are VERY communicative. Appointments are easily made. Place was packed but running smoothly. It took the whole day to do a tire balance but we live nearby and they did a free road diagnostic, so no problem. This was our 3rd visit just testing them out for basic maintenance stuff, and they've earned our business for sure. Great coupons for oil changes, never pushy with recommendations (in fact, they ask you if you want to hear about recommended maintenance and give you a chance to say "no thanks"). Headlight NOT REPLACED, as we spoke about TWICE. then immediately closed for several days for a Thanksgiving break, leaving me without use of my car in the eves unless I want to risk a traffic stop. This place wasted my time and money and was not transparent at all about the limitations of their mechanics to fix an issue with my car until AFTER they took my money. Kearney and specifically Alex was recommended to me by an existing customer and friend of mine. I brought my car in for an issue which results in water leaking from the roof to the interior of my vehicle. When I dropped off my car, I informed Anthony that I was weary that I would be charged for them to perform the same repair a previous mechanic attempted which did not resolve the issue (sunroof drain cleaning). Kearney charged me $178 to "diagnosis" and attempt the same "repair" that the the previous mechanic performed. They returned my car the same day and told me they believed they had resolved this issue. The next week my car was leaking water in the interior after it snowed. I called them to tell them that my car was still leaking water and they asked me to bring my car back in and I scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I arrived for my appointment the following week Anthony informed me that I was not scheduled for that day and acted like they were doing me a favor by "squeezing" me in because they were very busy that day. I got a phone call at 4pm that that day and was told that I needed to take my car to a Volkswagen dealership because the repairs were too complicated for them to perform and they didn't have the parts required (It is unclear to me why I had to take my car back a second time and leave it there all day for them to come to this conclusion). The next day when I went to pick up my car I asked for a refund for the money I spent for them to diagnosis and fix my car (neither of which they were successful in doing). I was told that this money went towards the labor of draining the sunroof tubes but maybe they could give me a coupon for an oil change. After I explained my frustration to the store director he told me he needed to make a phone call and said he would call me that morning...I am still waiting for this phone call but not holding my breath. read more

Liars, scammers, thieves. Car got towed in, they say the battery is dead and quote us $300+ for a battery and labor. Bought my own for $80, installed it in their parking lot by myself in 10 minutes. They say they need to run another diagnostic to check for other issues. 4 days later, they finally run the diagnostic and say the cables for the battery need to be replaced, quote me at $50 for parts and labor. They replace the cables and tell me the car is good to go. I pick up the car the next day, I notice a few personal items have been obviously stolen from the car, items that were plugged in/ were stowed. I drove the car 10 miles to work and parked, and 4 hours later it will not turn on. The entire experience with this mechanic has been horrible, it's been 10 days and I still do not have a working car. Even in an emergency, do NOT come here. read more

I went to Kearney Garage for an oil change and they came back with a list totaling over $2,500 in repairs that they said needed to happen. I took it to another mechanic to get a second opinion and they said that none of that actually needed to happen. The other mechanic fixed an issue with my trunk latch for free because it only took them 10 minutes, but Kearney Garage was going to charge $60 just to look at it. Brought a car into Kearney to get worked on. Didn't feel comfortable with the recommendation provided by Kearney. Questioned them on my concerns and they stood by their recommendation. My intuition was they didn't really look at the problem to diagnose properly. Separately, I expect every garage to come up with an additional $500 of random stuff they recommend getting done. This one came in at $1200 on top of why I brought it in. Typical garage shenanigans as the car is probably not worth spending a couple grand on?!?! Took the car for second opinion at a dealer, (typically not a good idea). Their diagnosis matched my intuition that Kearney could not have looked at the car properly to diagnose. I paid separately for Kearney just to diagnose, which clearly they did not. I paid 1/4 of the kearney estimate with the dealer and did not have to replace a number of parts they said were faulty. They also did not recommend some of the incremental services which Kearney was convinced the car needed. 1st time working with Kearney and not impressed. Chalked this up to bad luck. Given the benefit of doubt, I took in a 2nd car. Similar experience with much the same outcome. There is no way we can bungle up 2 separate experiences, but it happened again. If you do go in, make sure you look at parts/service/problem first hand. If it's a decent amount of money, get a second opinion, this saved me over a grand. Good luck read more

Suggested some things I could look into servicing in the next few months but didn't try to sell me on any immediate fixes (must have's) like a lot of other places tend to do. They also saved me a TON of $$ when the Nissan dealership I used to go to tried to swindle me when their one and only honest service guy left. They claimed I had $5500 worth of repairs to make (even went so far as to say my timing chain needed replacing at 45k miles?! sure thing!) Dishonest, deceptive mechanic! They use to be great but since they've been sold to corporate America; you're better off elsewhere. They swindled me with their bait and switch marketing. They sent me an oil change + tire rotation and digital vehicle inspection for full synthetic for $54.95+tax. Once I dropped off the vehicle they called an hour later and said the coupon doesn't cover the oil my car needs and said that the price would be $70 if I wanted to do it. Since my car was already there and I couldn't move it to another place while at work. I stated "fine, go ahead". An hour after that they called and said the tire rotation wasn't covered and would be an additional $20. Frustrated I said "no", however, i'm going to have to go somewhere else to have that done. Finally, I picked up the car after work and the bill was ~$100. I asked how did $55 jump up that much for just an oil change. They stated "shop fees", I looked at the invoice after paying, the oil change was $80 instead of the $70 I was told on the phone in additional to shop fees and labor. And this garage has just lost all my business. I decided to try them out when my car broke down and had it towed to their garage. They found out was wrong and quoted me $2200. I was getting ready to pay when I remember I just had that piece replaced 9 months ago. I talked to the other garage and they told me that if Kearney was Napa auto care center that it was under warranty and they could do it for free. Turns out Kearney is. I talked to Kearney and they said they didn't want to deal with all the paper work and I was on my own. I think they realized that they were caught in a lie and decided that instead of really finding out what was wrong with my car to just give it up. I just relocated (2005 Gran Prix) from Michigan. On my way I noticed that my car kept running HOT. Well, after arriving, it really fell apart. Being new to the area, I had no choice but to pick a repair facility from the net. I chose Kearney Garage. After performing an in depth review, they gave me the ($3,000 in repairs) bad news. I chose the lesser $2,000 option. The good news is the final bill came out to $1,500. They were able to save the existing intake manifold. All in all, a completely satisfactory experience. Especially after coming from Detroit. The automotive capital of the world. My special appreciation goes out to Alex. He was warm, courteous and helpful throughout the entire process. I should have known when I was scolded by the owner that I had not brought it in brakes, oil and tires that had done at different businesses. I have brought my car to them a few times. My past visit will be my last. I went for an oil change. I was asked if I wanted my tires rotated and was told that it was recommended. They told me that it would be an extra $30 for the rotating. When I got home, I asked my husband about it. He said that they usually do rotate your tiers but, they did it for free for him. I called and canceled the rotating. The first time that I took my car onto the interstate after the oil change it started to shake. It didn't do that before so, I felt suspicious and went back to them. My husband met me at the garage. They ran a check on with their machine. We were told that it was an ignition coil. They wanted $300 at first ($100 for using the machine which took about 5 minutes) but, then the man who ran the machine said that it only took him 5 minutes so, he didn't want to charge us for it. So, we were left with a quote of $200. We called the place that we bought the car from (they also fix cars) and they quoted us $55. When my husband said that we were going with the other place one man became very angry. He called the other place names and was aggressive in his nature. They did not cause this issue but, the over pricing and attitude were what I wanted to write about here. When I took it to the other place they told me that the oil was not the proper oil and that the oil filter was also wrong. They also told me that it was not the ignition coil. It was something related to that but, not that part. It was a bigger deal but, they still fixed everything for $110. read more

Great place. Conveniently located living in Park Hill. I found the service man very pleasant to deal with and willing to work with my insurance guys to get me the best deal on my Land Rover. They were definitely more competitive than the Land Rover dealer, despite being a little slow (but they were one mechanic down due to his wife being in the ICU, so it was legit). Overall very satisfied, as are my neighbors who I asked before taking the car there, and I'd definitely go back. read more
