Overpriced I got brakes done and they cost me a fortune. Won't be coming back. Sorry Brian. I can do them myself now.

I won't bore you with specifics, but Jesse went above and beyond to answer my many technical questions on an issue I was having with my suspension. I am a demanding consumer and skeptical after many shady experiences of shops with questionable practices and associated overcharging. I have caught more than one dealership and Indy shop with proof of their corner-cutting, as I do a good bit of service and upkeep myself and uncovered their buffoonery, for which I have cold busted them. I have NOT seen any of this with this Brakes Plus location. I will continue to bring my X5 to Jesse for most of my service issues, except those that truly need to be handled by a dealership or an Indy shop with the highest-end diagnostics equipment. Jesse is a stand-up guy. Remember that in our current market, shops are full and that it may take a longer than you'd like to be seen, or for them to get to your car. Thanks, Jesse.

This was the first of four visits I would have to make to this location. Brakes Plus claimed I did not need new pads but I returned a week later because I noticed more vibration when braking. On this second visit, they checked it out and again told me nothing was wrong with the car. Over the next couple days, the vibration persisted and actually got worse. I went back again and Brakes Plus finally agreed to replace the brake pads. Over the next week, the brakes seemed better but all the warning lights came on in my car and it seemed like there was something wrong with the power steering (it became difficult to back up and turn the wheel). I returned to Brakes Plus yet again and this time the owner agreed to pay for a full diagnostic to investigate what was wrong. I went to another mechanic for the diagnostics. They found a larger issue that ended up costing me another $2000. After researching the issue, it appears Brakes Plus may have failed to follow an important protocol needed when making repairs on a Ford Edge. This is a known issue with Brakes Plus and the info can be found on the internet. When I returned to the Quebec location, I showed them the invoice from the other mechanic but they refused to make good on their promise to even pay for the diagnostics, let alone the additional repairs I was out of pocket for ($2K).

This was going to be a five star review until I looked up the parts pricing on Google versus what I…read morewas charged on their invoice and that I specified I wanted aftermarket parts, not OEM. Basically feel like I was taken for at least $180 and up to $400 bucks. Quite the bummer as everything else about my experience was so good, I didn't even mind the $130/hr service rate. A shame. Something in my 2009 Nissan Versa blew up and ALL the warning and error lights lit up on the dash. Car would crank but not start. I thought it was probably the fuel pump but beyond my current ability to diagnose and repair. Had it towed to ATR. They were prompt in diagnosing and David called me to discuss the necessary part. I asked for aftermarket but by the price listed on the invoice they charged me OEM MSRP $486, which leaves me very disappointed. I found the same part for $355 on the NISSAN WEBSITE, $330 via simple Google search at local autoparts stores, and other aftermarket on Amazon and ebay for $50-$60. So, I could have literally walked or taken the bus two miles away to the auto parts store and saved $150, or ordered online and saved $400 bucks. Again, quite disappointed with this markup, especially given $130/hr service rate. They also found my one of my axles was leaking. He quoted me a full replacement of the axle but it turned out they could just replace the boot so it was quite a bit less than the quote when I got there to pay and pickup my vehicle. Sadly, overcharged for this part as well - paid $79, found on Nissan's website for $46, ebay for $36. Turnaround time was quick. Labor is $130 an hr as I mentioned, they have all the tools and knowledge to diagnose and repair so I don't have a problem with that rate, but the parts pricing thing is disappointing. (Oil change was $35 including oil and filter. Tire rotation for $16, reasonable.) The office is very clean and minimal.
