my only and go-to car shop for over 8 years! grease monkey offers most of all your car needs, like an oil change, tire(s), and anything related with a check engine light. you wait is always a low wait time, and you are immediately greeted from the time you come in. before any work, the team lets you know everything your car needs through their car manual and they overview all that with you. inside, you can wait and their service is fully transparent, with a full view to the mechanics working on your car! maybe once, i came back since a tire still made some noise, but they immediately fixed it and the shop was quick, nice and efficient with said tire inside ambiance is amazing, with TVs, seating and free beverages, from water to a warm coffee. you can find discounts online on their website, which makes their value unbeatable! biggest of shoutouts to Bobby Barnes, who is the owner of the shop, and has top-tier customer service, respectfully addressing everyone and makes sure that your car leaves in the best condition to head back on the road!

I have been going to Grease Monkey's for my oil changes for the past 3 years simply because I have always had a good and professional experience. So when I went there last week to have my new car serviced I knew they would not disappoint! As a female, you kinda expect to be up sold things for your car because the assumption is that you don't know any better. But Bobby was so nice and professional to me. That he agreed to fix my hanging splash guard for no additional charge. I will only come to Grease Monkey's for my oil changes! read more

The team was very friendly, accommodating, and professional. They were thorough in advising me of all of my vehicle's due maintenances based on its current mileage and even made recommendations for the type of oil to use for my service based on the age of my vehicle. They felt a bit expensive but I haven't had to service my vehicles since prior to the pandemic starting, so I could just be experiencing sticker shock based on pre-pandemic costs. I would definitely return! read more

I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. Then I noticed a sign said they did wheel alignments. So I asked for a wheel alignment. They checked my wheel alignment and found my wheels were aligned so he did not charge for the wheel alignment. Thank you Grease Monkey for your honest service. Bobby, I think is the owner is awesome! I have a carmax warranty and Grease Monkey showed up as a preferred place to take my truck. Bobby stated that they haven't done this before so we called Carmax customer service together. The carmax rep was so rude and obnoxious, Bobby kept his composure through the whole thing and was so nice to me and worked with me and was amazing. I would go back here to have work done on my truck and recommend them to anyone! Bobby is the best! Carmax....not so much! read more

I highly recommend grease monkey! Today was my 3rd time going to grease monkey to get my oil changed and when I say the shop was about to close and they still did my oil change as a team! I was amazed it literally took minutes! Bobby has great customer service skills, very polite, and very professional. I don't think I've ever had a better experience getting an oil change. I don't live around here. I was on a conference call just trying to kill time before an appointment that I had here in Antioch. I was just driving around looking for Jiffy Lube. I had been driving for maybe five minutes and I ran across grease monkey. I pulled up, they had time, got me right in. The gentleman..I didn't catch his name, I apologize, had the best customer service!! He went over all my options and pricing. I noticed while I was sitting in the waiting room drinking a cold water they had in the fridge for customers, that they were washing my windows. I really feel like my day is better because of the stop!! Thank you to the whole staff for this experience today! read more

Everyone is so nice here and they are pretty honest, but I'm not sure about experience. I got my car oil changed here and they put the wrong filter in my car. I had to get my car towed to a shop because it was leaking oil and I knew I had just had an oil change. So I ended up having to get my car towed to a shop for them to tell me the wrong filter was in it and I had to get another oil change. They are fast and nice but I wouldn't take my car back. read more

This place should be 10/10 stars. Showed up after work to have my oil and transmission service done. They were hella quick and obviously very knowledgeable on what they do. My car runs way better than before. It was nice while I was waiting, they offered some cold refreshments and let me know how things are going. I've come to Grease Monkey for years, they are my go too place . When it comes to maintenance on my vehicles. They are straight with no pressure but a "hey" this is some you need done to keep up with my maintenance. Bobby is a hands down, great service . Made me feel walking out with a A1 service! I called yesterday and spoke with Bobby at 4:40 pm. Bobby is very knowledgeable and courteous. I brought my car in today, Saturday, 2/24 at 9 am when they opened. There were a few people ahead of me, but my oil change was done in less than 20 min. Bobby and the rest of the crew are very courteous and efficient. The waiting room was very comfortable and they had refreshments if you wanted them. (They also have a few tables with seating outside.) I will definitely recommend Grease Monkey to everyone. I was off early on a Monday so I figured I would try my luck at seeing if I could get my brakes checked because they had been showing signs of wear. I arrived at 330 p.m.they accepted me and put my car on the rack right away. Bobby was more than hospitable, he offered me a cold beverage and everything. Within an hour my front brakes were done and I was on my way. I only thought they would have etime to check them couldn't believe they were able to check and fix them in one shot. Super professional! I stumbled across Grease Monkey after my Toyota dealership wanted me to wait ALL DAY (till 5) mind you I got there at 9 FOR AN OIL CHANGE LOL!!!!! So I Yelped oil change and the first to come up was Grease Monkey! 5 stars and it was a block away. I was hoping they were as good as the reviews and let me tell you.....THEY ARE! They checked me in, took my keys, brought my truck up, I had a seat and as I looked out they started Vacuuming my truck! At first I didn't know what to think. I wasn't sure if I was imagining it and then I saw the guy washing my windows...LOL WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!?!? Now they're checking the air in my tires!!!! WTF!!! Ok my own Toyota dealership doesn't even do this when I go to get serviced! I'm impressed. AND MY OIL HASN'T EVEN BEEN CHANGED LOL. Each vehicle that comes in is guaranteed a service time too. When your vehicle goes in a timer starts which is pretty cool. If they go over the time, they take $1 off every minute they go over. Kinda crazy but cool! So my truck gets finished I pay for the oil change, and it only took them 20 minutes to service my truck! All day? Take that Toyota! Service Monkey is absolutely AMAZING! It completely caught me off guard, and I was stressed and overwhelmed, spending the night and early morning calling and comparing more than 10 shops in the area. I tried calling Affordable Tire Center after hours and didn't leave a voicemail, but as soon as they opened, Sal returned my missed call. That simple gesture already meant a lot. First off, I want to say that I'm a customer who has very little knowledge about wheels and tires,…read moreso I trusted the professionals to guide me and do the job correctly. Last September, I went to this shop to purchase new tires. The price was decent, and I thought I had found a reliable place. Everything seemed great at first. Fast forward to the beginning of May--I brought my car back in because it was shaking and the steering wheel was swerving. The gentleman there told me my alignment was off and that I needed new tires again. I was confused because I had just purchased tires from them only a few months ago. When I asked for my service records, I found out they had only balanced my tires the first time--they never did a full alignment. As someone who doesn't know much about tire maintenance, I didn't realize that was something that should have been done or at least recommended. Because the alignment wasn't addressed, all four of my tires wore down unevenly and had to be replaced after only six months. I ended up paying over $200 more for new tires and an alignment on the front tires that could have saved me from this issue in the first place. Wanting a second opinion, I went to Les Schwab, where they did a full inspection and explained everything in terms I could actually understand. They told me the previous tire installation appeared rushed and poorly done. My tires were not properly balanced, and even the alignment dots on the tires were not lined up correctly, causing unnecessary wear and tear. Honestly, what upsets me is the carelessness. This is people's hard-earned money, and we trust businesses to provide quality work. I've now spent close to $600 fixing something that should have been done properly the first time. Lesson learned: do your homework, ask questions, and make sure you understand what services are being performed. Quality work may cost more, but poor workmanship can cost even more in the long run.

Fantastic. Singling out this African American Guy who did customer services, cleaned All Windows. I asked him about that Tyre pressure and he was amazingly embarrassed and profusely apologetic, and wanted to do it then. I knew he was busy nothing against him it was 6. As there was another vehicle waiting to be serviced I excused myself much to his dismay. I have seldom seen such genuine people in customer service, a fool I am, but he just seemed so genuine I felt I should wish him the very best here. I hope GM can hold on to their staff, because apparently they Can't! I have been a customer for 3-4 years now and rarely see the same people again except for that one cheat you had. Give them a good uniform, make sure they take pride in their work. I guarantee you will keep losing your best people otherwise, and the business. I care because I started coming when it opened up and slave to my habit, and being my local place I always thought why not? I review for this reason alone. A $100 customer every 30-45 days shouldn't mean to you, but a customer who takes 15 minutes to write this should. Just my two cents worth. Good luck read more

Very friendly staff...Great service. They explained everything to me before service so I could make a good decision and afterwards. I got an oil change with high mileage and a tire rotaion, suspension and brake check. They let me know of other things that were needed bec of that check and that was all for under $100.The high mileage oil change was 54.99 + 6.00, I have an SUV, it takes 6 quarts, and the brake check/tire rotation was 15.00. Then add taxes. I believe he threw in the suspension check as a courtesy, just bec I asked. Thank You.. Because a travel check is $50.00.. I will go back. They also top off fluids. They do this fluid check and other stuff like windshield wiper check, light check, blinkers etc all with the oil change for free. They even clean your windows and vacuum your vehicle as part of the oil change. Im in love. I highly highly recommend them. I found I needed my rear end differential oil changed with the suspension check and some kind of gasket or seal leak..whatever he said.... I'll be back to get it done next paycheck.Stop by...you WILL NOT be disappointed. read more

I took a newly bought used vehicle to get an oil change and possibly transmission fluid. They were so honest and said I didn't need either, just my ac filters changed out. They gave me a discount, since it was my first time, and coffee! I asked them about a major issue my old car had been having, and they told me right away what the problem most likely was after asking me details about my car and the problem. I had taken my car to three other mechanics who told me if they couldn't hook my car up to a machine that told them what was wrong, they couldn't fix it. I had researched and was convinced it was a sensor. No other mechanic would check that. This mechanic immediately mentioned the problem was probably a sensor, and said he should be able to fix it if I brought it in for pretty cheap. I was hugely impressed with the friendliness, knowledge, honesty, speed, and quality. Planning on bringing my old car in. No complaints at all! Highly recommend. read more

So I drove up to Grease Monkey to get my oil changed and when I arrived I was greated by a friendly staff and told where to park in a professional and kind manner. I was told to walk into the office where Carlos would assist me further. Carlos was very pleasant and I immediately felt a sense if being welcomed. I don't now where Grease Monkey found this guy but he needs a raise and a promotion quick! I was offered coffee, soda, water, and a snack. I was told exactly what they going to do and howlong it was going to take (30 minutes but they were done in 20 minutes) and get this....they even vacuum your car! Wow! I have never been on yelp this is my first time but the sevice here ROCKS! I noticed that Carlos is very informative and friendly with all his customers. These guys were recommended to me by five of my friends. I can tell you after going there. My friends were not wrong. This place has good energy. They will take care of you and your vehicle. If you are looking for quality, reliable service, that is worth your money. Go here. I needed my brakes and rotors replaced. I had called around to a few different shops before I was recommended Grease Monkey. Every one of those shops tried to overcharge me and they only offered to do just the brakes. Grease Monkey doesn't play around, they do brakes AND rotors for the same price as the other guys. They also did a full inspection and topped off my fluids before turning my vehicle back over to me! I am so happy I took my car here. I will be bringing my vehicles to Grease Monkey for as long as I live and as long they are open for business. They've earned my business forever. One word sums this place up! AMAZING! I drove a little distance to come here and was well worth it! Carlos who is the owner, was working the front desk, such a nice and honest man. The waiting area inside is nice, smells wonderful, nice clean cold air while you wait, a little kitchen with coffee, water, soda and snacks. Also nice sitting area outside too. My son was with me, and it was perfect he was able to have a snack while we waited. They checked everything on my car filled the fluids that were low, vacuumed the inside, and cleaned the windows. Carlos went over all parts with me to let me know what the status on everything was, all checked out great. Went there on Friday, July 31st, for an oil change because the car light had come on. Thought it was a little bit too early, but didn't want to take any chances. Anthony was the one who helped me, he checked the oil and said it was still in good condition. He was honest and even put air in my tires which were low at the time. Some other car service companies could have easily just ripped me off and did the oil change or pretended to because the oil was fine and would have taken my money, but Grease Monkey did not. I've been going to Grease Monkey for a couple years when Carlos was the owner. I always had great service. I recently bought a new car and it was time for an oil change so off to Grease Monkey I went. I was always used to seeing Carlos but there was a new gentleman behind the counter. I found out he was the new owner Bobby. I was so impressed with his customer service and he was so courteous. He explained everything to me that they did and the recommendations coming up for my car. I have been using grease monkey for my auto servicing, ever since they opened in Antioch. I was very happy with them up until just recently. I don't know what happened, but it seems that they had a management change. I'm not to pleased though. Carlos was the manager, and I had a really great customer relationship with him. Now, it just is not the same. When I came in for my most recent service, I instantly had,a very bad vibe with the current manager. I will be going elsewhere for my service needs. The car driven by my daughter was running hot; having had previous satisfactory experience at Grease Monkey, we took the car to Grease Monkey. The technician listen to my description of the problem, told me that they would run a diagnostic, and call me with the results. Within a couple of hours, I received his call, and described the problem, a cracked radiator. Long story short, we had the cehicle back on the road, and they didn't break the bank. This is the ONLY place I will take my car to for oil changes & other services. Carlos is honest and will not try and upsell people by offering services for their cars that they don't genuinely need. They're also the only place I know of that always cleans your windows AND vacuums your car for ALL oil changes and it isn't 1.00 more expensive than anywhere else. I never wait too long and I've never been disappointed. I moved out of Antioch and still only go to them. read more

I Always take my honda here and the staff before this new manager (Who is Awesome!) forgot to screw my oil cap on and oil spewed all over the inside of my engine. I called and talked to the current manager *Bobby i think*, he told me to just come on down. He took care of everything for free and got me a cap and all fluids topped off. I've been going to grease monkeys for the last 2 years and have gotten good treatment every time. They just recently came under new management and I say are just as good if not better than before. The last manager promise me a free oil change since I paid over $1000 on a radiator. I thought it would be a problem but the new manager honored it. I will continue to go there forever. The customer service here is extremely good. I do not have that much knowledge about cars to be honest, but they did not hesitate to explain very well about what I needed to know. I liked how they display the the accurate time on the monitor so that you know how long you have to wait. Cleaning the windows + vaccuming inside the car was something i never expected with oil change. I will come here again for sure. read more
