I called these guys because they have a rating of 4 1/2 out of five stars with a lot of reviews on Google. A lot of people talking about the quality of their work and prices. I called around to six other auto repair places in Antioch. Andys auto was 20% lower than the second lowest price and less than half of the high price of the other shops. I asked Andy's auto if they guarantee their work yes parts and labor for a year . It was a no-brainer, so I got my vehicle towed in to Andy's auto. My alternator shot. I was in shock because they had a whole bunch of cars but they told me that my car would be done within three hours of me dropping it off. I didn't believe them but sure enough they called me three hours later saying my car was done. I open the hood inspect their work and everything looked great. I went here to get a small leak checked out and not only did Andy find where the leak was coming from he also showed me that my rack and pinion needed to be replaced due to a leak. I came in to Andy's as my third opinion to fix a small mechanical problem affecting my front tires. Boy was I wrong to take my business there. -Huge waste of time. -Inconsiderate owner. -Lack of communication. -Deliberately charges you more upon payment. Definitely will never go again, never refer him to anyone, and would highly, HIGHLY advise any reader to stay far away from his shady business practices. First of all, I was told the problem would be fixed by the next day. I dropped my car off Thursday and I did not get it back until Monday afternoon. Secondly, on Monday I was called around 11:00 to let someone know where to find my lug nut key. This is because the issue was with my front two tires. By some miracle, at 11:15 I was called back as all the repairs were complete. How did it only take 15minutes & if it was so easy to repair why was I made to wait 4 days until picking it up? Thirdly, I was quoted one price on Thursday which I was happy with. When I paid on Monday, it was almost $100 more. Lastly, It is impossible to call this business! I must have placed over 10 calls on Friday. Most of which hung up on me and did not allow me to leave a voicemail. He services my families cars- one thing I especially like is he let's me know things that are wearing down I.e. brakes and provides an estimate of how many miles car can travel before repairing/replacing. Do not go here anymore! hey hired a bunch new new tech that has no idea how to work on your vehicles. Took my car in for basic oil change and ask for a brake inspection. The tech told me I need my front brakes replaced. I took it to another shop that was offering free brake inspection and they said my front brakes still have 70% left!!!!! RIP OFF AUTOMOTIVE CENTER. Well I don't ever leave reviews- I'll give one star cause I have to and Andy seems to be a nice guy and very convincing he knows his stuff- he even put my truck on the lift brought me over- showed me what's up.but I had a noise that was hard to diagnose. I had 3 friends look at my truck who have helped me before- didn't know- Andy took for a drive came back said carrier bearing and control arm bushings/ bearings- my front tires were loose - was legit- $1160 later I back out and have the same noise- Thursday he tells me bring back Monday, Friday I'm leaking transmission fluid- was not an issue prior- I call - he says - yea , I forgot to tell u , u have a slow leak - bring Monday for that and to diagnose the noise further- why would u not call for a $4 part while my drive shaft is dropped???? Then says the knocking is my flywheel $600 drop tranny- he claims 3 bolts were a little loose after I've had the truck 4 years-- then calls says my starter is bad-- I have a Chevy Silverado- they run well usually- then I get my truck and my truck won't shift- floored it going 20- dude forgot transmission fluid- and while lying about forgetting the fluid-right as he is taking me for a drive to act like he did nothing wrong- rips off part of my front bumper backing out- his helper laughs and drills it back on- I'm not happy- no idea what's going to go wrong with my truck read more

Mechanic says 25$, two minutes later the other guy writes in the order sheet and says it's 30$. The math did not add to 30$, so he scratched it out and changes the math after I mention it. This, when the large sign says 19.95$ for an oil change. Lastly, my floor boards are streaked with grease and oil and my window was left open. Never going here again. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Came to this location to try and get an engine replaced in late sept 2015. Spoke to Andy, was told it would take about 2 weeks and $2,250 to get the job done. 2 weeks later, found out Andy was out of the country and his co-worker hadn't heard from him and had no idea when he would be back to finish the job. By the 3rd week of not being able to call him because his phone would go straight to voicemail (which was full and no longer accepting new messages) we went and got the car back. Went to a different person who asked for more money and said the car would be done in a week. Lo and behold, the car was done in a week. Thank god i never have to come here again. read more

I watch Andy put a part on my car that costed $23 and, took him less than five minutes to put on, and he takes me to his office and charges me $200, I asked him very nicely where was my money going why $200, he got mad and told One of his guys to put my old part back on and asked me to leave the shop. The following day I take my car to another mechanic and I only paid $43 to fix the same problem. I beg you all to please watch him because he will get over on you with no hesitation. Andy is a horror! He is cold, abrupt and I landed there on a neighbor's recommendation because I was stranded in my driveway in Antioch with what turned out to be a battery that was totally dead and needed a replacement. Had to tow the car about 2 miles to Andy's Garage. He charged me $150 for a new one, which post purchase research revealed an overcharge of at least $50 over what I could have gotten one for at a comparable automotive chain store. To boot, he told me that the friggin' warrantee was only good through him, so should I move any distance from Antioch, and the battery fail,I would be S_O_O_L , But this creep had me over a battle and he knew it. So I forked over the cash (told him I was a fixed income senior) and was on my way.) Not too long after, I had occasion to open my hood to check oil, and noticed that the plastic housing for the battery unit was smashed to smitherines! Clearly , this incompetent louse was unable to remove and exchange the battery, so he just chopped up the casing to get at it! Please, if you have any choice in the matter, DO NOT land at Andy's for auto work. I had to give him one star; he would have gotten minus 10, if I could. read more
