Steak sandwich with aioli & side salad
    Jennifer H.

I met a group of friends here for dinner. The restaurant is nice & clean. It wasn't crowded. But since the weather was nice we sat outside on the patio. Service was prompt. I ordered the steak sandwich with aioli & it came with a side salad. The bread was fresh & the steak was tender. But there was a lot of bread. The side salad was average the dressing was so less I could barely taste it. For a $19 sandwich I was expecting a little more filling & bread not being the main attraction. I would go again but I wouldn't suggest it.

A great little place we drive to in Ft. Thomas to listen to Jill and Bobbie. It was a great date night with great tunes with Jill and Bobbie. We were able to get seats next to the window and able to talk and hear the music. The service was great and very attentive. Food was also great and even Barb the owner stopped by and checked on us. We started off with a Mediterranean platter as a shareable made of garlic roasted hummus, olives, pickles, veggies, warm pita. The hummus was delectable as it was handmade. Pickles and olives were not too vinegary. Warm pita was perfect. We also split a Roasted Beet Salad Roasted beets, artisan green mix, goat cheese, candied walnuts, house vinaigrette. The salad was delicious with yummy beets and a very mellow goat cheese. The candied walnuts completed the ensemble. Farmhouse Flatbreads with House garlic sauce, fired roasted tomatoes, roasted portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers, red onion, mozzarella, goat cheese, balsamic drizzle, fresh basil. Great presentation and excellent combination of flavors. Highly recommend this to looking for a pub / restaurant with a nice atmosphere.

Great ambiance and service! The outside patio is very cute and love the more unique wine selection.

Muffuletta sandwich with side salad, pickles and olives.

Been wanting to try Grassroots & Vine for a while and finally made it for an early dinner with friends. It was an uncomfortably warm and muggy evening, so we sat inside the cheery dining room. I couldn't help but notice the lovely patio with views of green rolling hills just outside that on some other afternoon or evening would be a lovely option for a meal. The menu has a pretty tempting selection of apps, flatbreads, panini sandwiches and salads, and since this is also a wine store, there are some good drink options available, too. My friends opted for wine flights, while my husband and I split a bottle that he picked from the store. I'm a sucker for a muffuletta sandwich, so when I saw that on the menu, I made my choice. I opted for the simple green salad with my side and it was awesome - the dressing was really tasty. While not as flavorful as I would have expected, the sandwich was solid. Our service was attentive and friendly throughout. I'd recommend Grassroots & Vine for lunch, happy hour and light dinners and look forward to visiting again. Note, parking can be tight, so when you see a spot, grab it!

Love this place! My server Maddy was wonderful and helped me choose the Dip Board for my appetizer, letting me know they could use their gluten free flatbread crust to make crackers for it, which made me so happy! I had the Cucumber Gin Spritz, which was light and refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to the whipped feta, hummus and olive tapenade. For my entree, I decided on the Farmhouse Flatbread with the GF crust and was not disappointed. It was so good! The outdoor patio seating was peaceful and relaxing - will definitely be back!

Visited w ith some friends. Not crowded, but we were informed there was a festival nearby, so that may have taken some of the customers for the evening. Probably a good thing, too, since there were a few reserved tables. We did get seated right away. Outside on the patio area. Very pleasant, very large umbrellas to shade you from sun or rain. (Inside seemed very nice too, but we opted for outside dining) Waitress was very attentive and informative, AND seems to be glad we were there. We ordered some drinks, three flights of wine to start. Won't go into the details of what wines we ordered, but all were very good. So, safe bet on just about anything. We did try a couple of whites, reds and the Prosecco. All good!! My wife and her friend split the Roasted Beet salad, as it was quite large. When it came to the table in two separate bowls, they still thought it was too much. They said it tasted great! I had the Street Italian Panini. Good portions, really great sandwich. Our other friend ordered the General Thomas Panini and also remarked of good it was. Easy to say, we will be coming back. And, recommend it strongly to our friends. Yes, 5 stars!

Finally got around to trying this gem! I ordered an expresso martini and a charcuterie board to start off with. Their board was fantastic and the warm Brie cheese was delicious. For dinner, I chose a flatbread and it was just as delicious as everything else. They have a really cute patio to sit on that's decorated with lights. Inside is super cozy and the seating is very unique!

The seasonal cocktails were amazing, especially the pumpkin spice espresso martini! We sat on the patio, which had plenty of space and was very accommodating for our party of 6 (including two kids) and our server was phenomenal. We can't wait to visit again!

Called to try to place a carry-out brunch order right after the return to indoor dining and the woman on the phone said because of brunch they prefer to just do dine-in, that it'sthe kind of meal that should be eaten right away. I disagree with this for a variety of reasons but decided to instead make reservations and drove down. Since we already knew what we wanted it was pretty quick to place our order and the food came out quite quickly as well. My mom and I split a Monte Cristo sandwich and The g&v omelette, and both come with a complimentary side salad with cheese and a light dressing. honestly neither one of us had a bad bite through the entire experience, the Monte Cristo was wonderfully sweet but Smokey and salty, nestled between two pieces of buttery Rich French toast that soaked up the raspberry jam and real maple syrup. The omelette while accompanied by salsa verde did not need it in the least, it had plenty of flavor and

We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.

Service wasn't the fastest, but everyone was friendly and welcoming. What really stood out for me was the vegan menu. I was genuinely excited to see solid options, and I'd absolutely go back just to work my way through more of them. I ordered the Vegan Chardonnay pizza -- bianca sauce, roasted garlic, roasted mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, vegan cheese, and rosemary. I'm usually not a white sauce person, but this one completely won me over. It was rich, flavorful, and balanced in a way that made every bite interesting without feeling heavy. The crust was also excellent -- that perfect mix of airy and crisp. Bonus: the leftovers reheated surprisingly well in a dry pan on the stove. The only downside was the garlic... and I mean seriously heavy. I smelled like garlic for a full 24 hours afterward, despite brushing, mouthwash, showering, and mints. Not subtle. Still, I'd order it again without hesitation. Worth it.

I've made my way through the entire menu (food and drinks), and there honestly isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend. Everything is consistently spot on every single time. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. That said, a few personal favorites stand out. The goat cheese flatbread appetizer is a non-negotiable. It's the kind of dish you order "for the table" but secretly don't want to share. The cacio e pepe and pasta rustica are also incredible and always hit. As for drinks, the seasonal espresso martini is always a go-to and never disappoints. But my personal favorite is either the regular old fashioned or, when I'm feeling myself, the wagyu old fashioned... especially if Scott is behind the bar. He clearly knows what he's doing, and it shows. The service is always warm, attentive, and consistent, which makes the whole experience even better every time. My server was super awesome and she suggested I also get their bread basket because she's heard great things about the truffle butter and sweet butter that come with it and let me tell you all something. The truffle butter was good, but the sweet cream butter I would gladly eat on everything the rest of my life, it was that incredible. For my main course I ordered the prime rib that they're known for and while I liked it, I wish I'd asked for it to have been cooked a little more than medium well, but that's just my personal preference and I knew I should have gone with what I normally do. The sides were fantastic and paired well with it, and I also got a side of their vegetable risotto which I ate for breakfast the next day without shame.
