Just delicious and fun! Sierra was our amazing server who paid attention to each detail and she knew the menu which is always a plus. Loved my experience as well as my meal. Cute ambiance and vibe. I do recommend repairing or replacing some of the seats because they are not comfortable. Overall a good experience. My salad was yummy and the pimento cheese starter was fantastic. Once the seating gets improved I would gladly consider a 5 star review. read more

I absolutely LOVED Paella night. The seafood paella in particular was truly stunning. Perfect flavors, texture and each time I wanted another serving, it was just an ask away. The Sangrias. This was also the first time I've had Rose Sangria. It is now my favorite. But they were all bottomless, cold and not overly sweet or doused in fruit. Exactly like I remembered during my vacation in Spain. It was so comforting to get a real Sangria and not a fruit cocktail with a drop of wine. Well done! The staff was so friendly and attentitve. Seeing the owners engaging with the customers is always refreshing to me. I hope they do this again in the future! read more

What a fun night of three delicious paella's. We tried all three and had seconds and even thirds on some of them. Seafood, chicken and rabbit, and vegetarian. The most surprising to us was the vegetarian one. The sangria's were delicious. We tried them all. It was our first time having a rosé sangria. Went a little uncouth and dug out the apple pieces using my fork. Hopefully no one noticed. I can't wait for the next one! read more

I met a group of friends here for dinner. The restaurant is nice & clean. It wasn't crowded. But since the weather was nice we sat outside on the patio. Service was prompt. I ordered the steak sandwich with aioli & it came with a side salad. The bread was fresh & the steak was tender. But there was a lot of bread. The side salad was average the dressing was so less I could barely taste it. For a $19 sandwich I was expecting a little more filling & bread not being the main attraction. I would go again but I wouldn't suggest it. read more

Just had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. I could have eaten 3 of the small plate of criustini with Serrano ham , manchego cheese and honey but then I wouldn't have had room for the best risotto I've ever eaten. So creamy it melted in your mouth. Sit outside on the patio were everyone is having fun enjoying good food and great service. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

A great little place we drive to in Ft. Thomas to listen to Jill and Bobbie. It was a great date night with great tunes with Jill and Bobbie. We were able to get seats next to the window and able to talk and hear the music. The service was great and very attentive. Food was also great and even Barb the owner stopped by and checked on us. We started off with a Mediterranean platter as a shareable made of garlic roasted hummus, olives, pickles, veggies, warm pita. The hummus was delectable as it was handmade. Pickles and olives were not too vinegary. Warm pita was perfect. We also split a Roasted Beet Salad Roasted beets, artisan green mix, goat cheese, candied walnuts, house vinaigrette. The salad was delicious with yummy beets and a very mellow goat cheese. The candied walnuts completed the ensemble. Farmhouse Flatbreads with House garlic sauce, fired roasted tomatoes, roasted portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers, red onion, mozzarella, goat cheese, balsamic drizzle, fresh basil. Great presentation and excellent combination of flavors. Highly recommend this to looking for a pub / restaurant with a nice atmosphere. read more

Love the food and cocktail options. Has a nice patio with a ton of space. I've tried a lot of things on the menu and you can't go wrong with any dish. Super friendly staff!! Great place to grab a bite and drink with friends. read more

Went to a Paella event at this restaurant. Very dissappointed . Plates the size of an espresso cup saucer with a couple of spoonfuls of mostly rice, placed on table. Advertised as all you could eat, but small portions served twice. Advertised sangria, but a glass of wine with 2 or 3 small pieces of apple is not my idea of sangria. I saw no attempt to keep food warm, but a cold mussel or shrimp is not very appetizing. All this for a cost of $60 per head. I would like to support businesses in my home town, but with nights like this, I find it very hard. Friends I went with feel the same way. For me, nver again. read more

Fresh and delicious food. Friendly, attentive service. Cozy atmosphere. 10/10 experience.

Been wanting to try Grassroots & Vine for a while and finally made it for an early dinner with friends. It was an uncomfortably warm and muggy evening, so we sat inside the cheery dining room. I couldn't help but notice the lovely patio with views of green rolling hills just outside that on some other afternoon or evening would be a lovely option for a meal. The menu has a pretty tempting selection of apps, flatbreads, panini sandwiches and salads, and since this is also a wine store, there are some good drink options available, too. My friends opted for wine flights, while my husband and I split a bottle that he picked from the store. I'm a sucker for a muffuletta sandwich, so when I saw that on the menu, I made my choice. I opted for the simple green salad with my side and it was awesome - the dressing was really tasty. While not as flavorful as I would have expected, the sandwich was solid. Our service was attentive and friendly throughout. I'd recommend Grassroots & Vine for lunch, happy hour and light dinners and look forward to visiting again. Note, parking can be tight, so when you see a spot, grab it! read more

Love this place! My server Maddy was wonderful and helped me choose the Dip Board for my appetizer, letting me know they could use their gluten free flatbread crust to make crackers for it, which made me so happy! I had the Cucumber Gin Spritz, which was light and refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to the whipped feta, hummus and olive tapenade. For my entree, I decided on the Farmhouse Flatbread with the GF crust and was not disappointed. It was so good! The outdoor patio seating was peaceful and relaxing - will definitely be back! read more

Our server was not very friendly. He was attentive enough, but there was only one other table filled. The food was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. We will not go back. read more

Visited w ith some friends. Not crowded, but we were informed there was a festival nearby, so that may have taken some of the customers for the evening. Probably a good thing, too, since there were a few reserved tables. We did get seated right away. Outside on the patio area. Very pleasant, very large umbrellas to shade you from sun or rain. (Inside seemed very nice too, but we opted for outside dining) Waitress was very attentive and informative, AND seems to be glad we were there. We ordered some drinks, three flights of wine to start. Won't go into the details of what wines we ordered, but all were very good. So, safe bet on just about anything. We did try a couple of whites, reds and the Prosecco. All good!! My wife and her friend split the Roasted Beet salad, as it was quite large. When it came to the table in two separate bowls, they still thought it was too much. They said it tasted great! I had the Street Italian Panini. Good portions, really great sandwich. Our other friend ordered the General Thomas Panini and also remarked of good it was. Easy to say, we will be coming back. And, recommend it strongly to our friends. Yes, 5 stars! read more

Love this place its cute, quiet and the food is great. Stopped by for a charcuterie board and bottle of wine perfect afternoon pick me up.

Called to try to place a carry-out brunch order right after the return to indoor dining and the woman on the phone said because of brunch they prefer to just do dine-in, that it'sthe kind of meal that should be eaten right away. I disagree with this for a variety of reasons but decided to instead make reservations and drove down. Since we already knew what we wanted it was pretty quick to place our order and the food came out quite quickly as well. My mom and I split a Monte Cristo sandwich and The g&v omelette, and both come with a complimentary side salad with cheese and a light dressing. honestly neither one of us had a bad bite through the entire experience, the Monte Cristo was wonderfully sweet but Smokey and salty, nestled between two pieces of buttery Rich French toast that soaked up the raspberry jam and real maple syrup. The omelette while accompanied by salsa verde did not need it in the least, it had plenty of flavor and read more

We really enjoy coming here! The food is a bit pricy, but it is fresh and it is delicious! I get the flatbread and the Mediterranean plate and every time and am never disappointed. Staff can be hit or miss- first time I went they were super attentive. Second time it took awhile for them to come back. Busier nights food takes awhile to come, but the atmosphere is so fun and welcoming. I will love sitting out on their patio during the summer! read more

This place is soooo cute!! But my wine flight was not so great. I chose two reds and a white. The reds had been opened for too long and had lost their allure. For a wine bar, that's not a good quality. We were definitely the first customers of an early evening so the wine most likely came from the bottles that had been opened in the previous few days and definitely had too much exposure to air. The white was fine and still crisp. The only other issue was that my friend ordered the espresso martini and ahe qas not finihed with it whrn the waiter came up and pucked it up and asked if we wanted anything else. I was shocked as he didn't ask if she was finished with her drink before picking it up. It's super hard for me to keep my mouth shut and let someone else speak up for themselves before i jump in but I've been working on that. So I stayed silent and they looked crestfallen at losing the "foam" par of the drink that they were looking forward to. BUT, mellinials don't speak up for themselves because they dont want to be a "bother". And if I speak up, I'm a "Karen" lol! I will definitely go back the next time I visit the area as I love the vibe. And I look forward to a better pour and fresher selection for a higher rating. read more

This place gets many 5 star reviews for a reason. Not only is the foos great, the service is out of this world. Our server Jillian was just delightful. You will be glad you did! read more

We love Grassroots and Vine. The food and service are great, the wine selection is solid. We love the patio, but it's also really nice inside. We typically order salads because they are AWESOME, but we've also enjoyed the tinned fish and it was actually quite good. The charcuterie platter is also delicious. And did I mention the frozen rosé?! It's fantastic. My only caution is that on a busy evening they can get quite backed up in the kitchen. They're very transparent about the serving time, though, so you know what you're getting into. See you next week! read more

Loved the cute vibe that Grassroots has, and the employees were happy and knowledgeable. They recommended their favorites, and were spot on when they said their gluten free carrot cake was so moist and flavorful that you couldn't tell it lacked the gluten. The flatbread was delicious, and the puréed Roma tomatoes that topped the pizza were to die for. Loved the combo of Roma and pesto on the thin, crisp, flatbread. This would be a cute place to go to when the sun is shining so you could eat on the outdoor patio and then stroll the downtown shops. The majority of the tables seemed more suited for two people's dining, but they did have dining enough for four. It isn't a place for a large party, unless you called and arranged something ahead of time. I gave it 4 stars for lack of variety on the menu, but overall it was a nice place to go for a bite to eat. If you were only going for a cocktail, this would be a definite contender to sit down and relax with a drink. read more

When I go out to eat I tend to hit the non "chain" places. Give me an independent restaurant anytime. I have been popping in here for a few years now and would like to say that not once have I ever left unhappy. The farm to plate concept is done right here. They use quality meats, veggies, breads, and ingredients in all the dishes. The menu is just enough to offer something for everyone without being so overwhelming that you have to overthink your selection. Amazing flatbreads, fresh and filling salads, tasty sandwiches....I mean that Cubano!!!! Top notch cocktails, an extensive wine selection as well as a nice beer menu can round out your meal. Service is always on point and the owner Barb usually comes around to check on everyone. In the warm months the patio is a nice place to sit and enjoy the sidewalk activity, lots of doggos going by. If you are there on a live music night even better. Perfect spot for a date night. read more

This is a must try! We left so happy after our late lunch today! We were actually on our way to eat at Midway (sorry Midway) but saw that G&V was open so we decided to head on in. We initially wanted to sit on the amazingly cute patio, but rain was about to come in so we opted for an inside table. The place is super adorable and trendy. Very urban farm house chic. When you walk in it has a deli feel and then they have a seating room off to the right. You can either order at the counter or order with the servers at the table. Everyone is so incredibly nice. We ordered the Italian and then the club panini with some red wine. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The bread on the paninis is 16 bricks bread. So good!!
