We came to Grasso's for Long Island Restaurant Week and had a wonderful dinner! While the special menu had limited options, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The 3-course prix fixe ($42) included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert -- such a great deal. I started with the butternut squash soup, which was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect start before my entrée. My husband had the oysters with pesto and really enjoyed them. For our main course, we both ordered the branzino, which was cooked to perfection and served with white rice and vegetables -- light, fresh, and full of flavor. Our friends ordered the braised ribs and cod, and they couldn't stop raving about their dishes either. To top it off, the service was excellent -- our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. They also had live music (which they usually do on Thursday nights), and the band was fantastic! It added such a nice vibe to the night and complemented the great food and atmosphere. We highly recommend Grasso's and will definitely be coming back!

If you need a sign to take advantage of restaurant week, consider this your sign and head to Grasso's! The options were awesome, had a great variety, and the portions were great. Ambiance was romantic with a live pianist. Service was good, and food came out quickly. I always love trying new spots during restaurant week, and this is on my list of places to return to for another dinner!

Such a great place! Beautiful decor. Light jazz playing, live music played nightly so will be back for that. Food was delicious. Rene was very helpful.

Have been wanting to go for quite a while and finally had a celebratory birthday dinner here. Lovely environment, with live music every night, which is great. The music does get a little loud and so it can be a little difficult to talk and hear well, but still a nice ambiance. Service is perfect- friendly and attentive. Lots of waitstaff! Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Small parking lot in the back and municipal parking lot almost next door. It was worth the wait and will return.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. They were able to seat us with no reservation which was awesome. The red sangria was delicious and strong and they had a live piano player inside. They served warm bread with butter and a delicious olive oil to start. I ordered the Rigatoni Pomodoro it was delicious with burrata on top and and eggplant chunks. The server brought over Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked ground pepper. It was a very intimate setting and the food was classic Italian. Will definitely be back.

Living in NYC, there's an Italian spot on just about every corner. Still, it's become harder and harder to find ones with food that is truly memorable. Even more so, where service is treated as it should be -- an art -- the art of hospitality. Which is why discovering Grasso's, in the LI suburb of cold spring harbor, was such a delightful surprise. Let's start with ambiance. A perfect blend between old school Italian and upscale vibes. The live music added some extra energy that was very enjoyable. Solid as the ambiance is though, it's not what you come here for. Let's move on to the food. The menu is big with a lot of diversity. And everything was really good. We started with pasta w/ shrimp and lobster appetizer which was a 10. Grilled octopus was also really delicious. For entrees, we had everything from chicken parm which was top notch to the halibut special which was prepared perfectly to the veal chop which was also excellent. As it was explained to us, Chef Tony takes great pride in his food and you could tell with each bite. Excellent all around. But we save the best for last. The service. Most notably, Brian, the ever-affable host with the most. If ever there was a guy who was truly born for hospitality, it's him. Simply put, his nature is to make others feel good when they're in his restaurant and he goes out of his way to make it happen. My wife is as indecisive about her food ordering as they come. She asks every waiter 100 questions about the menu, to the point most get impatient. Not Brian, he loved talking through the menu. And when she couldn't decide to go with the fish or the lamb chop, he said to trust him. Little did we know he worked with Chef Tony to do a split plate -- half fish half lamb chops. What other restaurant would ever do this?! Such care, such effort to please a customer. It's a lost art these days and going to Grasso's was such a welcome reminder of how far good hospitality can go. For the grand finale, Brians dad Tony joined him for a table-side duet preparation of bananas foster. The father and son joked as they cooked up a world class dessert. Amazing to see (and more so to eat). Grasso's is a special place and we highly recommend you stop by soon!

I drive by Grasso's all the time, but had never tried it. I saw it was on restaurant week, the menu looked good so I was all in. The restaurant is lovely on top of a hill on 25A, fairly busy for a Tuesday night and had a live singer. Margaritas were also on the restaurant week special for $10 so my friend and I both had one and we enjoyed them. For appetizer, I had the mango crab cake which was excellent and my friend had the butternut apple squash soup which she enjoyed. For an entree I had the stuffed pork loin, it was okay- very sweet and honestly tasted like waffles. I know that sounds crazy but even my friend tried it and said the same thing- maybe there was excessive maple syrup? Who knows. Still good, but probably wouldn't get again. My friend had the short ribs which were great. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was good, it was a lighter tiramisu without that heavy alcohol taste, and my friend had the apple crumble which she enjoyed. Overall a good meal and would definitely come again.

Great atmosphere with live music at just the right volume. My husband had the pork chop which was great, I had the fusilli and it wasn't fantastic but wasn't horrible. I expected more with that dish, it was bland. The oysters were amazing and fresh! I love that they split the app up and gave us each our own cold plate. Coconut cake was awesome. Waitress was lovely and available. If you're in the area I'd highly suggest it.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! My girlfriend's step mother had been raving about the halibut saying it was the best she's ever had so this had been on our list of places to try for a while. Such a beautiful quaint town. Promptly seated. Attentive waitress, went over the specials and even recommended drinks. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe w/chicken it was so good, I continued to crave it for the next few days. Salads fresh, drink just perfect, my girlfriend loved her halibut! Too full for dessert, but so glad we came. Definitely will be back to try other dishes, makes the perfect date night.

Although i passed this restaurant many times i never stopped in until recently after a hike with my BFF. There is a nice size bar and different sitting areas . The decor is warm and cozy . Al fresco dining available as well . Our server welcomed us and was well versed in both food and drink . We started with both beautiful and well made Bloody Mary's . Baked clams were juicy , perfect balance of clam to breading . Last but not least vegetarian omelets , filled with veggies and cheese, perfectly fluffy ! I would definitely recommend for brunch, but look forward to returning for dinner and live music

My wife and I came here for a nice night out. It is a little pricy, but that is what would be expected for such a place. It was lovely inside and the staff was fantastic. I had oysters for an appetizer, which were fresh. That is always a concern. For dinner, I had the porkchop. It was delicious and really incorporated several flavors with the cabbage and the crisp potatoes. I would definitely have it again. We finished with a coconut cake that was fantastic. If I was looking for that level of restaurant, I would go again. I would likely have the porkchop again unless something else caught my eye. Would recommend.

As previous reviews mention, the inside is decorated to look like you're on a patio in Tuscany. It's deceptively large inside, and we sat all the way at the back around the corner. The waitstaff were very efficient and pleasant, giving my boyfriend and I time to look over the menu but coming soon after we'd set them down on the table. After some complimentary bread and very tasty garlic knots, we started with one of their appetizer specials to share, and were very pleased with it. It had fresh grilled Italian sausage served over garlicky cannellini beans and broccolini. Everything was balanced and well prepared. For our dinner we both got pasta; I got the butternut squash agnolotti (de zucca) with butter and sage, and he got the ricotta cavatelli bolognese. The bolognese was delicious, but I felt like the squash agnolotti needed something else to make it a proper dinner. The filling is just squash puree, no cheese, and the melted butter sauce is very very decadent. I would get something a bit more filling next time, but other than that I enjoyed my meal and our experience!

We got the butternut squash which sounded very fancy on the menu but was just butternut squash with a piece of fried prosciutto stuck in each portion on top of cacio e pepe sauce which by the way was broken. We also got what we thought was going to be artichokes on a bed of arugula but was mostly arugula with a few small pieces of artichoke and some pistachios. It was bland, definitely needed some vinegar or lemon or something. Not worth the price, I could have thrown that together myself at home. We also had the spinach/pear salad. Again, I could have made that at home. I got the lemon shrimp linguine. I liked the pasta, I liked the sauce, I did not like the shrimp that came with it. They were tiny and maybe boiled, just not great. We also had the ravioli. One big extremely dense ravioli, raviolo or whatever a singular one is technically called. It was ok but so dense and rich. We also had the bolognese. Not the best. For the prices we paid we expected greatness. We each had dessert. So for the 3 of us the bill came to almost $300 with tip. I personally felt like the service did not warrant the tip but we left it anyway. We weren't checked on, we had to wait a long time to get the bill and we paid by phone app. The service wasn't great. I think the best part of the entire night was the little bucket of candy that we got with the check. The gummy butterfly was delicious! No, we won't be back.

We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth.
