I took it down there to see if it really needed the overhaul, and the employee leveled with me and said because it was just a piece of the heatshield that the vehicle should be fine. Well, not only did this guy not rip me off just to make a buck, he took my car into the back and fixed it for free. It's not often you get honesty AND accommodation like that for nothing. Writing this review was the least I could do in return. Thanks to that guy and to Lovering Volvo for running an admirable business.

While the sales…read moreexperience itself was commendable, the post-sale documentation process has been completely nightmare. I purchased my new Volvo S60 on December 6, 2025, as of January 19, 2026, I have not received my registration and license plates that were to be handled by the dealership as part of their documentation services. I am now making payments on a new vehicle that I cannot legally drive. I have called, emailed, and texted multiple people at the dealership numerous times and have received no resolution, clear timeline, or meaningful follow-up. At this point, the lack of communication and ownership has completely overshadowed what was initially a good buying experience. While Dan Carlen and Ben Carter were professionals to work with during the purchase itself, the breakdown in post-sale process and the Lovering Auto Groups accountability is disappointing and beyond acceptable. Pleasant sales interactions mean very little when basic, legally required paperwork is not delivered and customers are left without answers. If this matter is not resolved immediately, my next step will be to escalate the issue through the BBB.

I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW FOR CAPITAL CITY KIA new name of…read moreold Dan o'Brien This was a walk in car buying mission with a trade in that we knew we wouldn't have much equity in We were met by Brandon who was friendly enough for a sales man professional and well dressed We sat down went over our wants and needs which to my husband and I was a new lower priced basic no extras kinda car knowing that our car payment was going to be a bit on the higher end due to still owing on our other car We figured out a plan that worked for us with some rebates that were given for 2024 Kia forte LX As well as a buyout of our other vehicle and in-house financing We were told that we would be using Kia financing (which we had a bank that we had been financed through previous to this, but the interest rate was at 12% and they told us they could beat that 12% so we chose not to go with our bank and to go with their in-house financing) maybe a little naïve on our part but in actuality, they never really know until they run the figures everything's just an estimate So we get walked over to waiting area waiting for the manager, who's busy between there and the Subaru dealership for the next two hours we are told by Brandon oh they're just trying to get you a better finance rate oh they're just trying to get you a better finance rate and then about 20 minutes after coming over to me and telling me that about five times I get a credit alert They had done nine hard pull's on my credit. I approached the manager when I finally met with him about this and he was just telling me oh that standard procedure. We were just trying to get you a better interest rate, which is very excessive. Usually it's like a three or four pull's and you realize what the interest rate is if especially if they're not changing that much he said that they are gonna look at it all just the same, but it's my credit. I was never told that they were doing credit checks that much and I did authorize the first one. I knew that that was gonna happen maybe even two but to do nine credit pulls they stay on my report for three years and he's trying to explain to me it's not that big of a deal. Let me see how he liked it on his credit report nine times. That was my only issue with the dealership otherwise the manager himself was very nice very presentable. They got me what I needed. They got me what I wanted. They helped me dissolve my other vehicle which I didn't have much equity in so I appreciate them for all of that I'm just really disappointed in the credit report would I recommend And refer them? Yes I still would. It was just something I would be aware of walking in that they may run your report nine times.

Having recently lost my husband, this was my first vehicle purchase on my own and I wanted a little time to think about it. On 7/11, I spoke to the sales manager because I had decided against the purchase. I requested a refund of my deposit. On 7/15, I called and requested they check on the status of my refund. On 7/16, I called again. Spoke to my sales person, Ellen, and again requested a refund of my deposit. On 7/17, Ellen called and said they needed my credit card info to process the refund. It's been 8 hours since I provided my card info to her and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND!

After talking with him over the last few weeks about the deal I got on my used EV6 here in NY, he decided to look at EVs himself. He's 300 miles away, so we were doing all this remotely. He ended up at Hyundai (Ioniq 5) and Toyota (bZ), but the folks at Capital City Subaru ended up giving him the most competitive deal of all of them on a 2026 Solterra, and it wasn't even close. In fact, the deal was as good as the very best lease deals I've seen on the forum sites where people brag about the out-the-door prices they're paying on vehicles. He texted me the contract, and there were no "gotchas," the fees were reasonable, and he told me the salesman he was dealing with, Josh, wasn't pushing him into anything. I spoke briefly with Josh, and he assured me they'd take care of my dad. I was a little apprehensive, as that's what we're always told, right? Well, it's been a couple of weeks. My dad loves his EV (this is the big thing), was super happy with the buying and delivery experience at Capital City, and today he received a check in the mail from them with the note, "we discovered you overpaid by $300." Honestly, I don't have enough good things to say about the people at Capital City. They honored the OTD price they quoted, didn't pressure him into any extras, and eliminated all the typical car-shopping/buying anxiety that one usually has when negotiating. It was a tremendous relief to have this transaction settled for him since I'm so far away and I know he needed to make this change. So I'm writing this on his and my behalf to just say thank you - he and I will be recommending anyone in the area to this dealership with zero hesitation. Thanks for making it so easy for both of us!

The 1st car I looked at was a 2018 Subaru Forester with 102,449 miles on it for $14,400.00. Took it for a test drive, the car veered to the right so alignment had to be off. Next the car had a ¾" hole in the front right panel and the passenger door had deep long scratches all over it. Looks like it was from a large dog. Mirrors were also scuffed up. The manager agreed to take care of everything I found wrong. That's the good part but why would they have me take it for a test drive without bringing any of this to my attention? The next day I told them I did not want the car and checked out a Honda they had. The Honda was a 2014 CR-V with 59,000 miles on it for $14,000. Called up about the car and was told they had to check it out to see if it needed anything. Salesperson Josh called back 2 hours later and said the car needed nothing, so we took a trip up to Concord. Took it for a test drive with no problems, paid cash and said we would pick it up the following week. We took the car home and after a couple of days looking out the window noticed that the top of the roof had something going on. The paint was lifting; standing next to it you could not see it unless you were on a step stool. Called Josh and explained what was going on and he told me the 30-day warrantee was on mechanical problems only and paint was not covered. I then sent a message to the President Mr. Dennis Wilson and he never responded. They have a mission statement that is complete BS. How could they miss the paint problem if they checked the car out before I took it for a test drive? They don't check anything; they hope you will miss it and once you drive it off the lot you own it. Buy from someone else before you get taken!

These folks sold me a used car which Mike himself guaranteed would pass inspection and that it was 100%. By the time I got home the check engine light was on. I called the next day came in and they checked the Subaru out. He said it was just an O2 sensor which he said they could that day and charged me 80, there is three O2 sensors in the car and they only replaced one which was a waste of my time but it gets better (worse). Less than 12 days after buying the car my rear wheel falls off on 202 west which is a highway and without exaggeration wasn't the closest I've ever come to dying. People on 202 west had to swerve to avoid hitting me and went off the road. Grateful I didn't smash the Subaru and just got lucky in the way in spun out. I get it towed back to the great folks at Henniker Motors where they eventually let me know the plethora of things wrong with it. Cracked head gasket. Cracked oil pan and a bunch of other things. Which costed 1700 but this isn't about the money. This is about the fact these folks sold a car that almost killed someone. I then post on their wall explaining what happened and all they said asked me was "did I get a warranty"? They are such scumbags and I simply just want to inform people of this horrible business so no one else has to deal with this. Whether it's for you or your loved ones do not buy a vehicle from Mikes Affordable Auto on 124 Manchester St Concord NH or any of their shops for that matter because I dealt with Mike and he was simply a scumbag. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this, be careful where you buy used cars from..
