My wife recently had an accident that required her Toyota Rav-4 to be repaired. In my prior…read moreexperience, my insurance company chose the auto body shop to have my pickup truck repaired after someone hit and ran in a parking lot. That experience was a nightmare as that shop did not communicate well, and when they did it was a series of false promises of when my truck would be ready that they did not deliver on. This time I decided to have the insurance company issue me the check and I would chose the shop. After a lot of research, I chose Spacetown Auto. I knew I had made the correct decision after my initial meeting with Christina. As a former employee in the insurance industry, she knew the ins and outs of what insurance companies try to do to minimize their bottom line. I actually learned a lot from Christina through the process of repairing my wife's car. Throughout the process, not only was Christina communitive, but she acted like an advocate on our behalf. For instance, there were parts the insurance company wanted to be repaired, but Christina insisted they be replaced with new parts. She even got my insurance company to refund part of my deductible due to them delaying the repair. No one ever wants to have to use an auto body shop, but if you find yourself in a situation in which you must have your auto repaired, Spacetown Auto is the place to go.

I was sure I would not get away that easily. The team at SpaceTown told me not to worry, and this was normal. They would continue to submit more information to get the entire project completed. The insurance company provided me with little information, but every time I called SpaceTown, they were on top of it. They did a beautiful job putting my car back together. I can't tell it was in an accident. It looks great, rides smoothly and the pain matches perfectly. They dealt with the insurance company to make sure everything necessary was covered. It saved me a lot of headaches. I highly recommend them for autobody work. They are great to work with and do a wonderful job.

Having used this shop for years, I've finally decided to cut ties over the following incident:…read more In January of 2017, I purchased a 2009 Nissan Altima from the owner of Jake's Auto Body. It had approximately 153,000 miles, but the owner told me that he had replaced the brakes and any number of other parts, and that the Altima had been his wife's car until she had recently purchased a newer model. He had been honest with me many times in the past (presumably), so I took him at his word. Fast forward to the present. After the car had broken down I combed through the owner's manual and found that the car had been registered to a couple living in Laconia, NH as recently as November 2016. Strike One: Jake's Auto Body lied about the car's previous owner. Strike Two came today. Wary of dealing with Jake's Auto Body again, I took the Altima to another shop for its state inspection. I have just been informed by this shop that the front and rear brake pads, brakes, and one caliper will need to be replaced, to the tune of approximately $1,200. It's supremely unlikely that all of these supposedly newly-installed parts failed in the past five months, so the only logical explanation is that the owner of Jake's Auto Body lied to me (again.) At this point, I'm not sure whether or not to pursue legal action. But I do know that rather than give them the benefit of a third strike, I've decided to give up on Jake's. You'd be wise to give it a pass as well.
