Came here on a whim and we enjoyed it! The bread that comes with the table was good and offered variety. I really enjoyed the white bread and focaccia, but I wish the bread came warm. The olive oil and balsamic on the table is great. I had a glass of the Gavi di Gavi and it was fantastic. Every dish we ate here was good! The winner was the Cacio e Pepe pizza. Veal Ravioli was delicious and served to me as an appetizer, allowing the second course, a rather small portion of red fish to arrive with the +20 other diners' main course. Grappino delivered a really satisfying and comforting meal. We started with the meat and cheese board, which paired perfectly with their fresh bread and set the tone for the rest of the evening. The arancini and calamari were both nicely crispy, just how you want them, and the sauce served with the arancini was especially well done and flavorful. What a disappointment! Seated in the bakery cuz the AC was down in the restaurant. We were given a small table ( for 4) facing the western sun. We were sweltering and asked to be moved to a shady table. Glad they accommodated but why did we have to ask? 3 of 4 orders were asked for medium rare. I ordered a chocolate croissant, and when the waitress brought it to me, it did not look fresh. I have eaten fresh croissants and I know what they look like and what they taste like. When I asked the waitress to bring me another one, apparently she told the manager about my complaint. He then came over to me and told me that the croissants are made daily, and there was nothing wrong with the chocolate croissant. I don't need to be reprimanded by a manager for my concern about a croissant that did not look to be fresh. This place has always been a weekly go to for us but almost the entire Winter has been a disappointment. The food is still wonderful but is no longer worth dealing with the bad service. The young man who manages every time we are there is downright rude and lazy. Our final straw was last week. Every table but one outside was dirty and there were about 5 tables waiting to be seated. He could not lift a finger (which is normal for him)and after waiting almost a half hour we told him we were leaving and no longer waiting and he actually seemed surprised. This has happened so many times that we won't bother anymore. There are several friendly staff but he is so arrogant and to have to deal with him every time we are in is no longer worth it. A shame because it really is a great spot if the owners would find new management. read more

Their pasta is delicious! It's absolutely overpriced so go during their BOGO days. I found the service to be extremely lacking and slow, but this is not a complaint on our server, she was absolutely lovely. 2 of us arrived around 5:15 on a Tuesday evening. Keith Coleman was performing at 5:30, however we just sat at the bar and did not participate in the $65 pp cost for the 3 course meal and dessert. You can find out more and see who else is performing on the Grappino website under About/Events. There were plenty of seats inside both at the bar and at tables when we arrived, but by 6:30 the place was humming. FOOD: We had the crispy eggplant appetizer which was excellent. It is overpriced, however, for the small portion. It was listed on the happy hour menu at $12, however this was the price on the regular menu also. $6-8 would have been a more appropriate price for this app. The small margherita pizza was excellent. Roman style, so a thick crust, was flavorful and is plenty for 2 or 3 people. We had a couple pieces leftover. BAR: We sat at the small outside bar and it was a neat place to have a drink, appetizers and pizza. Happy hour $4 wine is hard to beat! They also had well drinks and beer at happy hour prices. Drinks with olives had the olives speared, however, drinks with lemons and limes as garnishes were subject to server hands touching them before putting them on the glass rim. Anyone who has read any of my other reviews knows this drives me crazy. Even before COVID it was gross, and now, one would think extra precautions would be taken but apparently not. Grappino, pretty please provide tongs for your fruit garnishes and require your employees use them. SERVICE: Our bartender was efficient but had no time to chat as he was constantly filling orders. ATMOSPHERE: It was neat to hear the Elvis tribute, the music was fun and at an appropriate loudness. The outdoor seating is beautiful and inside has a bar and many tables. We will be back. read more

So good we made reservations for the following Saturday. Great atmosphere inside and outdoor. Our server was Mary and she was friendly and polite. The food was well prepared and made from excellent quality foods. We ordered a bottle of wine that we normally pay about $26.00 for. We paid $55.00 which is right in par for what other restaurants mark up the wine. Our pasta dishes were about $25.00 each. We're bread snobs and the bread was delicious.
