Came here on a whim and we enjoyed it! The bread that comes with the table was good and offered variety. I really enjoyed the white bread and focaccia, but I wish the bread came warm. The olive oil and balsamic on the table is great. I had a glass of the Gavi di Gavi and it was fantastic. Every dish we ate here was good! The winner was the Cacio e Pepe pizza. We stopped by for late lunch yesterday w friends. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere n vibe. And stopped by for brunch today w our kids. Nice bright n airy restaurant. Friendly staff. The bakery section is unbelievable - has so many goodies. Shared a bambolini - donut stuffed w Nutella. Heavenly. One is more than enough for 4 people although we got 2 n shared it amongst 4. Had the truffle shuffle skillet w scrambled eggs, sausage , mushroom leeks n potato n cane w toast. V healthy n tasted good. had the crab cake Benedict - generous amt of crab n w hollandaise sauce. Was v good. The calabressa omelette w suppresses caramelized onions n calabressa pepper tasted good. I ordered a chocolate croissant, and when the waitress brought it to me, it did not look fresh. I have eaten fresh croissants and I know what they look like and what they taste like. When I asked the waitress to bring me another one, apparently she told the manager about my complaint. He then came over to me and told me that the croissants are made daily, and there was nothing wrong with the chocolate croissant. I don't need to be reprimanded by a manager for my concern about a croissant that did not look to be fresh. I have eaten there many times and have brought guests there so that will be the last time I eat at Grappino's. read more

Grappino delivered a really satisfying and comforting meal. We started with the meat and cheese board, which paired perfectly with their fresh bread and set the tone for the rest of the evening. The arancini and calamari were both nicely crispy, just how you want them, and the sauce served with the arancini was especially well done and flavorful. For my main, I had the ravioli with one of their pork sauces, and it was a standout the handmade noodles were excellent and clearly made with care. Service was outstanding. Accidentally I ordered two dinners. Veal Ravioli was delicious and served to me as an appetizer, allowing the second course, a rather small portion of red fish to arrive with the +20 other diners' main course. What a disappointment! Seated in the bakery cuz the AC was down in the restaurant. We were given a small table ( for 4) facing the western sun. We were sweltering and asked to be moved to a shady table. Glad they accommodated but why did we have to ask? 3 of 4 orders were asked for medium rare. This place has always been a weekly go to for us but almost the entire Winter has been a disappointment. The food is still wonderful but is no longer worth dealing with the bad service. The young man who manages every time we are there is downright rude and lazy. Our final straw was last week. Every table but one outside was dirty and there were about 5 tables waiting to be seated. He could not lift a finger (which is normal for him)and after waiting almost a half hour we told him we were leaving and no longer waiting and he actually seemed surprised. This has happened so many times that we won't bother anymore. There are several friendly staff but he is so arrogant and to have to deal with him every time we are in is no longer worth it. A shame because it really is a great spot if the owners would find new management. read more

We decided to check out the Sizzle menu offering at Grappino. The standard menu and special looked great so it was a tough decision! We were greeted and seated right away - with our reservation. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and full lots of recommendations. All the food arrived at perfect intervals. We tried the fish and lamb. The main course of pasta, made in house, was spectacular and to top it off freshly made cannoli. We had lunch here and it was great! My daughter had the eggs Benedict's with chorizo that came with potatoes which were very good. I found the service to be extremely lacking and slow, but this is not a complaint on our server, she was absolutely lovely.
