We did the safari tour with wine tasting at Grapetown Vineyard and had an amazing experience! Check-in was super easy, and our guides, Rene and Patience, were fantastic. They were so knowledgeable, personable, and fun. The tour itself was informative and such a unique way to see the animals up close. The winery was absolutely beautiful. Very open, airy, and relaxing. The wine tasting afterward was a perfect finish. We sampled four wines (two sweet and two dry), and each came with great explanations from the staff. Ric and Rose were awesome as well! The customer service throughout was top-notch. Highly recommend this experience if you're visiting Fredericksburg!

We had the best time at GrapeTown Vineyard & Safari in Fredericksburg. The wine was amazing, the people were incredibly welcoming, and they even have the sweetest giraffe named Jeffrey, who was so friendly and absolutely beautiful. The grounds were stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful and fun, and there are multiple great restaurants nearby to make a full day or weekend out of the experience. Whether you're planning a family outing, a girls' trip, or checking something off your bucket list, this place is truly a must-visit. Highly recommend -- 10/10 experience.

The safari tour was amazing. Jason and Patience were tremendous guides with tons of knowledge about the animals. I fed zebras, camels, llamas, and many others. Highly recommend!

They get good reviews by offering free drinks.

If you love animals, do not go here!! They give a free drink for a 5-star review! They are also not a vineyard and do not offer their own wines. They are all grocery store wines offered for the tasting. Their animals are not rescues, but rather obtained through private breeders for the explicit purpose of business. One goat had wire wrapped around its hind legs, and the capybaras had NO WATER available in their enclosure, despite being told that they love water and are semi aquatic. I am concerned by the treatment of the animals first, and disappointed by the wine.

My first time visiting this vineyard and honestly I have no words to describe how beautiful this place is you can sit here and relax with a cup of wine hearing really great music what a relaxing place to come and the view was very beautiful and the staff was very attentive, what a good experience I would definitely come back to this place!

This is beautiful property with something for everyone! Staff was super friendly and informative. Camels, limeers, alpacas, long horns, bison and so much more. The tour starts off with a visit to the petting zoo with several friendly types of animals and some rescues. When your done with that then grab your drink for the ride. We got to feed some zebras and the camels. There are light snacks for purchase and plenty of wine,/beer/cocktail options. Plenty of indoor seating and more outside seating play set and out door game. I pro.ise it's worth the visit. Attendees of all different ages e.joyed the event and they support our Vets!

The safari tour is the best thing you could do in the area. I wish I knew the staff names to give a shout out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Money well spent! They also have more than just wine for those who prefer beer or cocktails.

The property was cool because it's an animal sanctuary where you can go on "safari tours". This visit was particularly for wine tasting but I was disappointed because they didn't have any tastings of their own wines but rather other vendor wines not local to the area or Texas. The day we attended, we had to park on a hill because they had a pop up shop of local vendors set up by the main parking area closest to the tasting room/hall. Which also, was $20 parking due to an event of sorts. To get a tasting wristband, we didn't know you had to purchase it outside where the vendor stalls were and it took them forever to get us checked out and paid. It seemed as if their handheld POS system wasn't functioning well. I would however come back to experience the safari tours and animal interactions.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. Great for people (with or without kids) wanting to do a tasty ($20) wine tasting. The Chardonnay was our absolute favorite! Dusty was super helpful, kind to us, and offered great service. We're planning on doing the cow cuddling for the kids after they play in the lawn. The breeze, the view, all will bring us back again! Regarding food - they have a few snacks here and the Mexican place nearby will deliver.

Came here for the tram ride offered by the Rockin Rib Festival nearby. The tram rides start every hour on the 45th minute so we enjoyed their wine tasting while waiting for that. It's $30 for 4 tastings. Rick took care of us and walked us through each wine. We typically enjoy dry reds but they have white and sweet wine varieties as well. Ambiance was really cute. It's an open barn style kind of winery. Had a string duo playing when we entered. Had some Bridgerton vibes going with the modern songs they were playing. Def recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

A stunning winery featuring a variety of animals, including kangaroos, ostriches, camels, and zebras. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. During our visit, there was a polo match, hot air balloons, and a variety of stalls to explore. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone visiting Fredericksburg!

Came here for a visit on the weekend for the hot air balloon festival and had a blast with the VIP deal Everyone was super friendly and they had a variety of wines and a cheeseboard for us to try saw well as a cool safari tour. Definitely a great place to stop by if you're in Fredericksburg. Fairly rustic ambiance but with a fancy flair.

The staff is knowledgeable and they do a great job walking you through the wines and making recommendations based on what you like. We had the Zinfandel and the Sauvignon Blanc--both were excellent. The Zinfandel was bold and smooth, and the Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and refreshing. Honestly, they never miss here. This place nails the Fredericksburg wine country vibe. Relaxed, clean, and just the right balance of upscale and comfortable. It's easy to settle in and lose track of time. We'll definitely be back--this is one of those spots that's reliably great every time.
