I called several times, sent photos, emailed and texted. I never received a reply to ANY of my communications. I want an explanation of what Granite Transformations thoughts were when they were informed that this was a major design flaw and that I had ZERO ideas on how to get it fixed. Unless I wanted to NOT have a bathroom door. I could cut off 2 inches from the door bottom but that would look ridiculous and not provide privacy. You were informed of your egregious design flaw and then GHOSTED ME!!! Complete door jam AND door were removed. Opening was reduced via new framing. I ordered and PAID for a completely new jam. And had a narrower door fabricated to open the other way. Then plaster work to cover the new frame, jam installed, and door hung. Massive expense and stress because Granite Transformation's design totally ignored existing door position and the clearance needed for it to be operational. You dropped the ball big time then GHOSTED me. I am still angry and extremely disappointed that you would ignore your responsibility to do whatever follow-up was needed to correct your design error. read more

Overall I'm pleased with my kitchen countertops and bathroom. However, the company as a whole is not very organized and EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT had to be rescheduled. From the initial sales call, to the measurements, to install. I let them know all along that I would be having family out to help me with the backsplash install. They called 1 hour prior to install time to tell me they would have to reschedule for next week. I let them know that was unacceptable as I had tile installers on for the next day. Ended up getting it done the next day, but everyone was quite inconsiderate during our calls. They then said they would have to come back to install the bathroom. Which was not as important to me, however, that I would need them to install the plumbing (since they had to reschedule everything. Not only did no one know that the person I had talked had promised to pay for the plumber, but the plumber never showed. After multiple calls and insistence they had someone come out "free of charge". Honestly, that meant nothing to me as the plumbing was supposed to be free. Out of 5 appointments, all 5 had to be rescheduled. read more

If you didn't know, Granite Transformations (GT), is a franchise business, and this was my second time doing business with the franchise, first with the Seattle GT. The GT team worked with my crazy ideas and when it came to something they didn't do, they found someone who did (shout out to Kevin of South Sound Shower Door!). Everyone felt like family and seemed as excited as I was about my kitchen project! Okay, I've tried to take good pictures, but they really don't do it justice. Highly recommend, in addition to quality and professionalism, without having to demo the previous countertop it is very green! read more

Had Kitchen new countertops put in and cabinets refinished. Turned out great. Installer was friendly and had a great attention to detail.

I had my countertop and backsplash replaced by Granite Transformations. During the sales process, I clearly explained that I had an additional issue that needed to be taken care of while replacing the countertop. The issue was that my stove was in the way of my dishwasher clearance, as a result of which the dishwasher door could not be opened fully. The salesperson assured me that the company would take care of the issue by cutting extra inches off the back of the countertop to allow the stove to slide back in just enough for the dishwasher door to open fully without obstruction. I signed the contract with this understanding. Not only did they not take care of the issue, what I am really upset about is they gave me a recommendation that turned out to their own acknowledgement to be wrong and cost me unnecessary time and money. The installers told me that I had to get a contractor to cut a hole in the wall behind my cabinet before they could come back out to cut the countertop. I did as suggested and when the installers came back out, they said there was nothing they could do and that to begin with, they didn't think cutting a hole in the back of the wall would have helped with the situation because the flange would anyway prevent the stove from sliding further back. So now I had to call the contractor back to repair the damaged wall and repaint and ended up paying $595 out of my pocket for a job that was not even necessary and did not address the issue. I raised this issue to the salesperson and sent the company back their survey form also raising the issue and to date, no one has cared to respond. I would never recommend this company to any of my friends given this experience. read more

I had Charles over to my house to give me a quote. I made it clear at the beginning that I was looking around for prices and that I would like an in depth quote for the refacing of my kitchen. He was a true salesman. I thought that I was portraying that I didn't want a sales pitch, I wanted numbers, that must not have gotten across. He also kept referencing the fact that my boyfriend (we own the house together) should really be in the room to help. I kept saying, "I know what we both want" and he seemed as if he would have been more comfortable not talking to me. I do not know if he was being sexist but it felt that way. I was the one that set up the appointment and we had had many conversations about what we wanted, why was it so important that the man be present? By the end of the appointment he was offering me huge amounts of savings if I sign a contract today. I had to tell him multiple times, "I want a quote to compare to any others that I get." and even told him that so far he was the best price. he finally conceded and took my info and said I would have a quote in my email the next day. Nothing. Two days pass and I email him. No response. Apparently I was not good enough for his business to even send the quote. I am sure they are great if you get the right person, but God forbid you get Charles, ask for someone else. read more

The product is cool. Clean up and up keep so easy. Install is quick and relatively non messy. Service is good. The owners are great, but you need to keep up on them and dates. We recently had our kitchen redone by this company. There was no sales pressure, just a statement of the facts. We concidered slab granite, spray-on and transformation. The company staff was very courteous and I began telling my neighbors that this is a company that makes it a pleasure to do business with them. They did exactly everything they said they would on the date given. The installers were just incredible. They were courteous, considerate and labored to make sure everything was so precise. Their exactness is not often seen today. We are extremely pleased with our results and are already showing it off. The price is right and the company is as near perfect as you can get. Don't waste your time! Patty from Granite Transformation came to our home for a consultation on a Tuesday and she promised we would get the proposal that afternoon. Friday rolls around and we still had not heard from Patty. We called her Friday morning and left a messages and my husband also called their main office to give the message to Patty. Friday evening we received an email from Patty stating that she did not bother to work on the quote because she felt we were too distracted to listen to her sale and consultation. We met Patty in the middle of the day, my husband had to take a call from a client for about 10 minutes but I was still there talking with Patty. While she was measuring our kitchen, my husband and I had a conversation about logistics of our kids and sports later that afternoon. Apparently, Patty felt the need for my husband and I to sit there quietly and watch her as she measured and took notes. Patty also mentioned in her email that her consultation usually takes at least two hours. When we called to schedule the appointment we were told the consultation would take an hour, so that is what we planned for as we had kids to pick up from school. The worst part is when Patty finally gave us the quote for our kitchen, it came in $5,000 MORE than the what we got from other businesses using real granite slabs. I would give this company 0 stars if it was possible. I've never met a sales person who is trying to get my business act like their time is more valuable than mine. I would not recommend this company to anyone. A huge waste of my time! read more

The entire process was pretty smooth and required only some disruptions to daily living activities. The final product is very attractive. Though administrative communications could use some improvement, the installation team members were impressive. They were very thorough, and approached their work with high degrees of professionalism and care. This was especially true of Kyle. Scott and Matt were also very good. We first saw Granite Transformations (GT) at the Seattle Home Show back in February 2014. We were so impressed with the granite composite display that we signed up for a no-cost estimate and since we were looking for some kitchen cabinet freshening up work, we figured why not have both estimates done at the same time. Our original late '70's built home had the usual laminate counter-tops and decent, but dated dark wood kitchen cabinets. We met with Charles Johnson, their estimator/regional manager who gave us prices to reface our dark brown cabinets and re-cover our counter-tops with their patented granite tops that utilize bits of granite, glass and glue giving the end user various shades and color combinations. After previously getting an estimate from Home Depot which was much higher, we decided to go with GT and ordered the granite tops and cabinet package which included new drawers, doors, laminate overlay of the cabinet boxes and new updated hardware. Dan, one of their main installers came by a few days later, took measurements for the counter-tops and cabinet work and sent our measurements into their factory back East. A month or so later the cabinet pack arrived and the entire remodel job took a little over a week. The counter-tops and matching back-splashes were actually installed in less than a day and they looked great. Solid slabs of granite may sound nice, but are high maintenance and hard to install without noticeable seams, besides being very pricey. Additionally, not all cabinet lowers can safely sustain the weight of heavy granite slabs. Corian and other synthetic counter-top materials also have their peculiarities I've found. Having the GT granite/composite in different color variations was just what my wife needed because if she isn't happy, no one is. The countertops are easy to clean, easy to sanitize and virtually maintenance free. The surface is heat resistant, impact resistant and most important to me easy to sanitize by wiping it down with 409 or something like it with bleach. We've also gotten nothing but compliments from family and friends after they've seen how the cabinets were freshened up with the honey oak finish and brushed nickle hardware. I'm very impressed with the renovation. Dan was the main installer/carpenter and did a great job cleaning up every day and taking care of every possible detail making sure everything was done right, to both our standards and satisfaction. I've been involved in construction for some 40 years and have worked on relatively simple home remodels on up to helping build several 50 story high-rise office buildings, and I give this GT group a big 5 Star Rating. The quality of the product and workmanship is very very good. The price was affordable, reasonable and a great value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this GT group to any of our family and friends. There's tons of finishes to choose from and relatively painless disruption. I wish I could post some before/after photos, but I encourage you to shop around, then check out their showroom and play around with all the possible color combinations for your kitchen remodeling needs. We had been wanting to remove our pink tile counter tops from the 90's for several years. Granite Transformations was our choice after meeting with a consultant who simply showed us the product, discussed the process and explained the advantages. What a great guy, and easy experience. We intended to do the kitchen only, and then as we talked ideas began to form about the main floor bath, our daughter's bath and our master bath. We even had our daughter's tub removed and they built a walk-in shower with corner seat. The entire bathroom was done - counters, sinks, bath, floors! The transformation in our master bath is unbelievable with counters, sinks, shower, partial floor, stairs up to and surfaces around the walk-around tub! Custom shower doors in both baths - they did it all. Friends and family are blown away by how it all looks. It's like we are living in a new home. The installers were courteous, personable; really genuine, professional and skilled. JoLee visited during the project to ensure quality control and our satisfaction. It took more than a day for the entire project because it was so big - but the kitchen was done in a day as promised. In fact all timelines were completed as promised and no mess. We have a second kitchen and to more bathrooms that we'll have done next. And we have family already having work done, and several friends now interested. I engaged Granite Transformations to give me a quote for a new bathroom countertop and sink. Patty arrived as scheduled and gave me a quote. I had thought to go with Corian and had a quote from another company that did Corian, but that company didn't follow through with a couple of changes that I requested and were not responsive to any of my calls or emails so I went back to Granite Transformations and contracted with them. They immediately scheduled Dan to come out and measure for the template. He arrived on time and prepared. It only took a few minutes really. Within a day or so Kelly called to schedule the installation. Dan and a helper showed up as scheduled and did the installation quickly and cleanly. Dan is a very nice young man, polite and professional. The bathroom looks great! I love the new, big rectangular sink also. Kelly called the day after the install to see how it went and asked if there were any issues. I'd found a couple of rough spots on the countertop so Kelly scheduled Dan to come out a few days later. Again, he showed up on time and prepared. I showed him the rough spots and he smoothed them out and was done in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend Granite Transformations. We had a great experience with Granite Transformations. We saw this product at the Seattle Home Show and immediately liked it. It was exactly what we were looking for to replace the shower off the master bedroom and decided to do the kitchen countertops as well. We made the appointment at the Home Show, which was for a Sunday because it suited our schedule, and got a reminder call on Friday. Charles showed up on time and was very easy to work with. Never felt pressured to buy or that he was pushing any pattern in particular. He answered all of our questions and offered suggestions that were very helpful as we made our choices. They were booked out three weeks or so for installation and due to our schedule we pushed it a bit farther. The installer, Scott, was also great to work with. Exceptional quality in his work. Everything fits together perfectly and it was obvious he takes pride in what he does. Cool that his son was helping him, too. We also got some discounts applied for making the decision that day and for scheduling an appointment while at the Home Show.
