Beau is the best contractor we have ever worked with, bar none.  His attention to detail and his eye for design are both impeccable, and there is nothing we wouldn't trust him with.  He communicated clearly, kept us incredibly well-informed about the scope and timing of the project, and did everything he said he would, completing the project pretty much exactly when he expected to be finished, and on budget.  He gave us great advice throughout the process - including recommending when to order certain items, an impressive feat given the current global supply chain issues - in a way that was completely respectful and never pushy.  Our kitchen is now our favorite room in the house. A bit of background on our project: Beau dragged our kitchen from the 70s - no range vent, Formica countertops that buckled with the slightest pressure, cupboard doors that didn't fully close, to name a few issues - into the modern era.  This was a complete demolition, down to the studs, and rebuild.  Along the way, he removed an old chimney that ran from our basement, through the first floor, and into the attic; upgraded our hot water heater, and most of our old, galvanized plumbing; updated our electrical panel and removed a lot of knob-and-tube wiring; and widened our back door.  He had a clear understanding of what he could and could not do, and, for the latter, he had subcontractors lined up and ready to do the work.  Beau, his crew, and the subcontractors I interacted with, were all extremely pleasant, polite, helpful, and fun.  They were very nice to (and tolerant of) our pets, and did everything they could to make the process as unintrusive as possible.  They went above and beyond in so many ways, it's impossible to remember them all.  At the end of the project, the work was done as expected, was top-notch, and as much as we were glad to have the kitchen back, it was sad to see them go. read more

People often talk about how their remodel projects go wrong - delays, cost overruns, miscommunications, inconvenience. Nothing of the sort happened working with Beau and his team - in fact it was the opposite. I'm so impressed with Beau's level of professionalism, attention to detail, strong project management skills and breadth of knowledge in so many areas. He's a great communicator and does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. He also has a great eye for design and uses his creativity both in how he designs a beautiful space and also in his problem solving. This attention extends to everything; from designing/visioning, breaking out the budget and tracking it throughout and helping shop for materials, to laying out fireplace tiles for the best pattern, keeping a clean workspace and troubleshooting random house issues that cropped up during the project, When my furnace broke for unrelated reasons while I was out of town during the project, Beau jumped on it right away and used his connections to link up my family with his hv/ac guy who was able to come on very short notice to replace the unit. Having 4 guys working 9-5 in your house for a couple of months could be a major inconvenience especially with small kids and a dog, but honestly, they are all such nice, respectful guys, it was a pleasure. It is clear that the whole team takes a lot of pride in the work they do. Beau, Jimmy, Ian and Skye each took the time to perfect every small detail on my remodel - and that extra care shows in the final product. I can't recommend Creative Kitchens and Baths enough. Beau and his crew recently completed a complete remodel of our master bathroom and an update to our powder room, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their workmanship and attention to detail were excellent. Beau, Jimmy, and Ian were easy to have around during the 11 weeks they were working in our house. They were courteous and kept the house tidy throughout the project. After our initial consultation and preliminary estimate, Beau worked with us over a period of several months to refine the design and help us choose all the materials and fixtures. The project started and finished exactly on schedule. His pricing was detailed and transparent, and he kept us informed throughout the project of the cost of last-minute changes. The project completed slightly under the original budget. Very early in the project he uncovered a substantial issue with our roof and worked closely with the roofing company to coordinate his work with theirs in a way that didn't impact his schedule. We hired Beau to do a complete remodel of our master bathroom. We are extremely happy with the whole process from start to finish. Beau and his team were friendly and respectful of us and our home (very important when you have workers coming through your house every day). Beau has an excellent sense of scale and design, and his team are very detail oriented and have great craftsmanship. We now have a gorgeous modern bathroom. Beau is a great communicator and very detailed in his estimates and any additional work that needs to be done. Upon moving into our newly purchased home we discovered that the bathroom was badly remodeled from 10 years ago and we had bad sewage smells. We decided a whole remodel to update the look of it as well. We tried to get three estimates from bidders, and Beau was the only one to give us a detailed estimate. He showed us a bathroom he was working on at the time and spent a good chunk of time looking at our bathroom and what needed to be done. The design process went fantastically as well. We had a very short time to choose our fixtures and tiles, and he made himself available to see and explain things with me. While I had design ideas, he knew how things should be laid out and the size of the fixtures and cabinets so things don't look odd. Our bathroom is now a beautiful modern showpiece. Beau was here doing the work personally with his team every day. He was also very considerate of the fact that I was pregnant and had a toddler. His team made sure to clean up after themselves and always asked if things got too loud or if certain things were in our way. Once they broke open the ground, they found a complete disaster where pipes weren't slanted correctly, weren't connected properly, and there were no floor supports. They gave us a detailed and reasonable quote for the additional plumbing and support work, which they fixed beautifully. We were also out of town at the time, and Beau sent us daily picture and video updates of the work. All in all, it was very pleasant working with Beau and his friendly and respectful team. (That's important when you have people in your house every day, and you're sick at home with a little one.) Their work was excellent, and we plan to hire them again for future bathroom and kitchen work. read more

What was going to be a big kitchen remodel became simply a dishwasher install due to financial reasons. Beau had a pretty booked schedule but still squeezed in my install. He even worked with my goofy schedule. The dishwasher was installed into a space under my sink where a cabinet used to be and looks and works great! One of Beau's employees Charlie did a majority of the work. Beau had other projects going on but did stop by once and a while to make sure everything went smoothly. They were very courteous about noise and scratching the floor, even putting down mats so that my hardwood was protected. I would definitely reccommend Beau and his guys to do any project. Creative Kitchens & Baths Seattle (CKBS) remodeled both bathrooms in our Seattle home. We chose CKBS because we needed a contractor with an eye for design and who specialized in this kind of work. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Beau, the owner of CKBS, started by developing a very detailed scope, estimate and schedule for the project. Then came the design work - we worked with Beau on selection of counter tops (in this case, very unique and cool granite remnants), cabinets (vertical grained fir customized to match our craftsman style), porcelain tile and trim, bathroom fixtures, bath and shower plumbing, lighting, and ventilation. When Beau and his team arrived on site, they cordoned off work areas, protected carpet and home furnishings, and covered flooring in all traffic areas. We lived in our home while the bathrooms were remodeled in sequence - first the guest bathroom, then the master bathroom. The bathrooms once completed were truly amazing. Beau's team were so friendly, reliable, competent, and trustworthy. We really needed to rely on these guys and they delivered awesome results. The project came in on schedule and on budget. In Seattle, home prices have gone way up over the past few years. I didn't want to redo the entire bathroom so Beau worked very hard and spent extra time with me to design a partial renovation that worked well with the existing bathroom. Beautiful result. I originally met Beau when he was nice enough to take on a small job to fix a problem that was caused by something another contractor had done incorrectly on our bathroom remodel project. I appreciated his willingness to take on this small job and fit it into his busy schedule and that he took the time to explain to me what the other person did incorrectly. I wished we had used him for that project, and decided then that when we were ready to remodel our kitchen he'd be the person we'd call. A few years later that time came and it was the best call I made all year! In an industry where it's difficult sometimes to even get a call back, Beau's responsiveness stands out from the crowd. He gets back to you in a timely manner and shows up when he says he will. My husband and I both appreciated the detailed bid he put together for our kitchen remodel that itemized the labor and material cost for every task that was part of our large project. We are both pretty analytical so it was nice to see how he came up with his bid and it made us feel like we were being charged fairly for the work that he was going to do. During the planning stages of our kitchen remodel Beau was always on top of reminding us what we needed to be doing to keep the project on schedule. The plans were drawn up after several convesations based upon advice and suggestions from Beau. The workers were incredibly professional. The project was completed almost exactly on time (there were some hidden defects that did increase the time needed for the project). We are incredibly pleased with our new kitchen.
