After vetting a few contractors I decided to work with Anthony in 2019. His crew was fast and did great work. 1100 square foot addition with most of it being a mother-in-law unit. Fast Forward to November 2024. My house was hit hard by the Bomb Cyclone. Dealing with the insurance was a headache I was not familiar with. NW quality construction was hired to remodel the bathrooms(3) and build a fireplace. The bathrooms had to be stripped to studs, some partitions had to be removed to bring it to the layout we wanted. We agreed on a timeline, even though there were hiccups in the middle due to unforeseen personnel availability, additional people were brought in later to meet the timelines. Throughout the project we could see intent to do things right, the crew did a fantastic job even guests visited us recently were impressed with the work done. His team went above and beyond to fix some of the existing plumbing issues in the house. They were very reasonable in pricing. Overall very satisfied with the quality of work and the commitment, will hire again for future projects. I've heard a lot of horror stories about contractors & construction in general, I'm sure we all have that friend who unleashes tales of insanity around their house upgrades that you'd never want to deal with a contractor, but NW Q. Construction has been great! I've hired Anthony now for 3 jobs (+ an incoming 4th!) because at the end of the day, he and his crew produce fine work from start to finish. Not only that, but he's made sure the job gets done right. We live in a house from the 50's, which means it's had plenty of time to generate surprises. He's had to roll with those house surprises quite a bit, and was very upfront about what & why, especially if that had to effect the quote. This is an over-due review for Anthony and his team. I feel so lucky to have found them on Yelp. With the blooming Seattle housing market, it was difficult to find someone for bathroom remodeling--either they want an arm and a leg or they only handle whole-house projects. Anthony scales his schedule, fit my townhouse 2.75-bath project, and most importantly, never talked down to me. As a single-mom staying on a budget, his professionalism and attitude is refreshing. The remodeling for a townhouse in Ballard for 4 weeks in April to May 2019. Work ethnics and communications The start date was a bit abrupt since he finished the previous project a week sooner than anticipated and I had to work out of town. But he communicated his needs and with some typical clarifications, we were able to proceed without issues. No complaints from my neighbors. His team showed up every day on time around 8am. They worked Monday through Saturday most of the weeks. If the materials are held up, Anthony would inform me that they're taking the day off. They prep all the areas, set up and clean up each day. They were extremely respectful of my parents, visitors, and my special need son. I personally suggested them to use my bathrooms so they wouldn't have to rent a Porta Potty; but it impressed me that they asked. I believe most days they brought they own lunches and take a break in my garage, again, small detail but I can't stress how small of a footprint and respectful they were the entire time. When I worked out of town, Anthony always made sure he clarified any details, down to the grout colors and how many inches of space for all installations. One 2 occasions I needed to call him in the evening about immediate questions and he happily answered my call. Quality His team is small but their workmanship was excellent. That's perfect because it eliminated multiple subcontractors coming in and out of the house. I was not around when they demolished the old baths but again, no complaint of any kind from my townhouse neighbors (which is trickier than single homes due to space and the shared driveway), they barely noticed I was remodeling. Noise was minimal, no trash left behind. The tiling, vanities, facets, lights... all installations were precise and functioning well (almost 6 months following completion now). Anthony and I went back and forth on the master shower. That was the biggest deal for me as I changed a tub to a floor-level shower. He and his plumber worked out a way to make it happen (eliminating the thick lip that is typical to shower stall). The only hiccup was the house' structure, there was a beam under the shower. So we raise the shower floor slightly as you can see in the photos. Cost Back to the difficulties in finding a contractor- the companies that were available quoted a significant price. Anthony's pricing was very reasonable and he was very transparent. I ended up purchasing my own vanities, mirrors, 1 bath tub, and a few other things. He adjusted the invoice the reflect that. The only additional cost was when we encountered unexpected structures behind the original appliances. His team also helped me to install a few things around the house, fixed a few holes in the wall, etc. At the end I asked them to build new rails for 2 balconies and he charged a fairly low price for that. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my house after working with Anthony! Hopefully I can save up for a kitchen refresh and report back. But I've no doubt It'll be a good experience. read more

This review is long overdue since it has been about a year but I wanted everyone to know how great Anthony and his company is. I started calling a bunch of contractors in November 2017 because I wanted two posts removed due to it being in the middle of our living room. Most people wouldn't touch the project since it would require a structural engineer to assess the problem and most likely would need the beam that supported our entire ceiling to be replaced with something else. Anthony and another company submitted a bid for the work. However, the reason why we went with Anthony is because he not only provided a bid, but gave a variety of options and listed the pros and cons for each. I am very meticulous to detail due to my profession, which may have been why most companies did not want to work with me due to the level of detail that would be expected of their work. However, with each item completed, Anthony and his crew greatly exceeded all expectations. On top of that, he was always concerned about the total budget for the project as much as we were. I have never had the pleasure to work with anyone like Anthony but I am glad he agreed to work with us. The picture I am providing does not do his work justice but I just wanted to share the level of quality he produces. I know my wife is happy with her new pantry. We are already planning and budgeting for the next project with Anthony's company and we are confident it will turn out better than we could hope for. At the beginning of the year we had Anthony and his guys work on the 3rd major remodel for us (kitchen, bathroom, floors, etc). Unfortunately, everything from our previous review no longer holds true. I'm not sure if it's because he got comfortable working with us but it's safe to say that we're less than impressed with the final product. Without going into every detail, I'll include a few pictures that sum up just a few of the issues we had. First is the ceiling where we had a wall taken out. It's so obvious where the wall was it's embarrassing. Second are the floors/trim that we had replaced on the stairs. Instead of removing the stair treads they just left part of the old trim and then attempted to sand/stain up to it. When we asked Anthony why they didn't just remove the trim and replace it like they did with the rest of the trim in the home, he told us we could just caulk it. Lastly is where they extended a wall opening by about 18 inches. It curves so much inward it's obvious from the naked eye (looks much better in the photo than in person). When we asked Anthony about these things he said that we can't expect everything to be perfect. We were just hoping for the same level of attention/detail that he provided with our last two remodels but that's not even close to what we got. I will say that after he messed up on the hardwood floor/finish twice, that he did credit us for what it would cost for someone else to come in and fix it. Unfortunately I think he ended up trying to make that up on the back end as he started sending us new "final" invoices for if we wanted them to hook up the kitchen sink, install the dishwasher, etc (who would assume that hooking up a kitchen sink wouldn't be included in the quote when doing a full kitchen remodel). Also, at the last minute he said his guys couldn't install the glass shower doors as it's not something that they do (although they did it in our first remodel that you can see photos of on our review). Overall I'm not sure if it's his quality going downhill or if for some reason he just didn't care on our job. Where is the 0 star button when you need it. Sigh. Been wanting to call this company for a while with all the great Yelp reviews. We have a ton of work to get done both inside and outside our home. I contacted NW Quality Construction specifically for our current deck project. Anthony texted me on Thursday to say he would stop by Saturday between 10-10:30 to look at the project. He came at 9:20 this morning, didn't bother to ring the doorbell or call, just sent a text stating "I am in front of your house. I noticed the steep slope on the driveway. I don't think I can take on this job. Parking is very tough." Gee...thanks?? I totally understand with demand he has the freedom to pick and choose the jobs he decides to take, but a little common courtesy goes a long way. I'm also working really hard to appreciate the level of cautiousness he displayed, but with all the work we've had done on our home and the estimates for work we're planning to do, he's the first to say he couldn't do it because of the steep slope of our driveway. It has to be a good thing though, because we really don't want anyone who doesn't know how to navigate the steep driveways that permeate this region to work on our home. Things always works out the way it's supposed to, so moving on to the next (and hopefully better and more responsive) contractor. read more

After receiving several bids for a shower, we hired NW Quality Construction. I called Anthony and he came out immediately and gave us a bid on our project. In addition to receiving one of the lowest bids, we were also impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and ideas. We hired NW Quality Construction to install a new shower in our master bathroom. During this process they removed our old shower and bathtub, replaced a window, added siding and replaced our light/fan. We are SO impressed with the job they did. They exceeded our expectations. The shower is amazing. We absolutely LOVE it. It is 5' x 4' contains a bench, a rain head and a shelf. They also put in a thermostatic valve so the water temperature will remain constant (unless you want to change it). I have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels and this shower is better than any of them. We were so impressed with their workmanship. We can't say enough good things about Anthony and his team! All the guys were very professional. They were so careful and contentious of our furniture, carpet, etc. They enclosed and covered everything in plastic. When they completed the job, they cleaned up everything. This was phase 1 of our bathroom remodel, we plan on hiring Anthony to complete the bathroom by replacing the carpet with tile. We will also have him replace our sinks, counter tops, etc. This entire experience was a positive one for us. We highly recommend Anthony for any of your contracting needs. Just finished a 3 month remodel with Anthony and his crew from NW Quality Construction. Top line: an excellent experience and I'm delighted with the results. This was a big undertaking - principal and guest bathrooms and the kitchen in my 1983 era house, plus building a mezzanine level into the great room. All during Covid! Each room was taken back to studs and rebuilt from there. With it being an older house and much neglected by previous owners, we had rot to deal with, in bathroom wall behind the shower and in the kitchen subfloor. Anthony's crew took everything in their stride and made good before starting with the installation. I'm very pleased with the quality of work. Plumbing in a double shower to replace the old tub in the principal bathroom, and gorgeous floor to ceiling tiling that took them a week. Replacing the tub in the guest bathroom. New flooring throughout, new cabinets, sinks, faucets, lights and outlets. As an example of the attention to detail, the electrical work included new GFI outlets in each room and the bathroom mirrors were custom framed to match the cabinets. The kitchen is also a success story, including a beautiful farmhouse sink, custom pantry cupboard, granite countertops and full tile backsplash. Anthony added full undercabinet lighting at no additional cost. I happened to mention that I had forgotten it in the original design and was it too late to add - the crew had the wiring installed that afternoon! There were a couple of delays due to covid - some of the items were on longer lead times than normal as supply chains have been disrupted, but Anthony was able to flex the schedule and keep his crew working on other parts of the project so we didn't lose too much time in the overall schedule. The quality of the work on the bathrooms led me to expand the contract to include building the (long planned) mezzanine, which helped fill out the schedule. One of the reasons that I picked NW Quality to work with is that Anthony's crew include most of the skills to do the job: plumbing, framing, electrical, tile work, cabinet installation, hardwood flooring, etc. etc. The only work he had to sub out was the shower door in the principal bathroom (double sliding frameless barn door style, 7' high across a 6' width - his crew easily did the one in the guest bathroom) and the granite counter-tops. Anthony did bring in excellent sub contractors for these two specialist items. Overall, working with the crew was a pleasure. I quite miss them now the job is over. It was nice to have human contact through the lockdown. They were always polite, helpful, nothing was too much trouble to make the customer happy (and I'm picky!). They put down drop sheets each morning and picked them up during their cleanup at the end of each day. To keep our Covid bubble small, I had the same two crew throughout the project and they only commuted between their houses and mine. Anthony was the "outside" guy and did all the supply runs, wearing a mask and staying distant as he dropped materials off and picked up trash for disposal. I didn't want to write this review, but changed my mind last week after discovering another plumbing issue associated with the bathroom project NW Quality Construction executed in Spring of 2019. Disclosure: I have pictures, videos, the whole dossier available to back up my review. Anthony himself is a nice gentleman, this is true, and the guys on his team are all nice people that know what they are doing except for the PLUMBER that goes by the name Fook. Fook has no idea what he is doing and I don't think he even holds a valid license to tell the truth. Our complete bathroom remodel turned into a technical nightmare when we had to remove NW Quality Construction from premises and call the officially certified KOHLER contractor to evaluate the issues we had. They have discovered the following: 1. Sink drain pipe leaking due to insufficient torque on threaded joints 2. Toilet leaking (literally oozing out poopy water) due to incorrect thickness of a wax ring used that never sealed the joint 3. Water leakage due to insufficient insulation between the cover plate and the main valve All of the above was in addition to: 1. Uneveled light fixture installed 2. Uneveled toilet bowl as well as toilet tank itself 3. Uneveled bath spout 4. Uneveled (not straight, tilting 10 degrees to the left, like 7:pm instead of 6 on the clock) shower handle We had both Kohler and NW Quality Construction work on rectifying these issues back in April/May of 2019, but since this bath was only used by the kids we never actually stepped into it ourselves, and when we did we discovered that the bathtub itself is not stable, because NW Quality Construction never used either a cement bed or a foaming method during the installation of the tub. They just placed it as is, despite the fact that I asked Anthony to ensure his plumber is familiar with the installation manual. Anthony did cove over to have a look at the tub and confirmed there is a movement and offered to fix it from the existing opening in the garage ceiling, but never followed through. I paid another contractor to foam it up to give it rigidity it was lacking. And my last drop was a little shower push button pin that just fell off last week. We couldn't screw it back in because to do that we had to dismantle the entire system - the handle, the cover, the positioning guide, the protecting sleeve for the pin. When all of that was dismantled we have realized that the tiny concealed screw in the pin that is sitting deep in was never activated, the plumber just glued this pin to a threaded end and covered up. Proper install, clean up and complete assembly took 2 hours, this is not to mention that kids couldn't use the bathroom for a week while we waited for a specialist to become available. Since then we hired Five Star Floor Installation Inc. to complete our second bathroom and Craft Bros INC to replace our tiled kitchen flooring to a hardwood, having excellent experience with both, therefore I know it is not my 'impossible' quality demands, but rather one very unprofessional plumber that jeopardized the entire project. read more

Be very careful with these guys. We worked with them to rebuild our deck prior to move in 5 years ago. There was an issue identified with the deck which I explained to them and he said that the issue happened a lot with construction around the time the house was built and they would fix it. Everything was fine and we were thrilled. 5 years later we are having to redo the deck at 3-4 times the price because it wasn't done right at all. They left rotted wood and just tried to put a heavy coating over the rot to "seal it". The issue that had been identified to be fixed was done EXACTLY the same way that created the original problem which made the rot even worse. My new contractor was actually mad on my behalf. Given that this is a small company we didn't feel like it was worth it to pursue any kind of action against them. Unfortunately, before we discovered this, we had hired them to do another batch of work. Some of it was done very well but other things are already needing to be repaired and this work was done last Summer. I know they can do certain things well so just be very careful to understand what they do well and what they don't and then watch them very carefully during the repairs. read more

It could have been removed, but the price was more than my husband and I were willing to spend. I found a photo of how I wanted to incorporate the post and it was done perfectly. If there was ever a miscommunication as to what we wanted, Anthony made sure to get it corrected until we were happy. It was so easy since day 1 to see how passionate Anthony is about what he does, he cares about all the details. For example, he asked if we wanted to pay more to have floor vents to match our floors. We said no. We came to the house and he put them in for free!! FOR FREE. They look great too and we're so happy he did. There were so many examples of this type of attention to detail. Another example is the stain color for our beams and window trim looked so different on the wood than expected and Anthony's lead guy brought this to my attention immediately to ensure we found the right color to match the window trim instead of just doing what was asked and it not looking right and having to spend more money to redo. This shows how much pride not only Anthony, but his team has in the work they do. We plan to use Anthony for all our future home projects. My husband and I were so scared going into this as we've never had renovations done before and we've heard all too many horror contractor stories. We hit the jackpot with Anthony. He is also so easy to get a hold of, he responds to emails, texts, phone calls immediately. He and team work at an incredibly fast pace without sacrificing quality work. Northwest Quality Construction renovated our kitchen, a bathroom, replaced the main entry staircase, installed engineered wood floor and painted every room of our new house. We are very please with the quality of work that was done. Anthony, the owner, was able to get started right away and worked very fast to complete the project so that we could move into our new home with a little hassle as possible. He completed all of the work within 8 weeks of the start date. It was a big job, kitchen demo, bathroom demo, remove existing floor and repair sub-floor flooring and then install everything. It would have been done sooner if our cabinets arrived sooner. His workers are very friendly and do nice quality work. Anthony pays attention to detail so that problems are fixed before they become major problems. As with any large job, there are always a few hick-ups along the way. He corrected any issues we had right away and checked in with us to make sure everything was OK after everything was done and we where settled. He really stands by his work and is customer service is excellent. Anthony and his workers are also very honest and hard working. We felt very comfortable entrusting him and his workers with our home. Anthony was also great on overall cost as well. His labor rates are very reasonable and helped us get contractor discounts on materials when ever he could. We got a lot of work done for a very reasonable amount of money when everything was said and done. The final project cost (labor and material) came in less than what other contractors quoted for the kitchen alone. We got hand-scraped engineered walnut (yes real walnut) and solid walnut stair treads for a fraction of what it would cost anywhere else. We highly recommend Northwest Quality Construction. NW Quality Construction is the appropriate name. We decided to replace all three of our decks and hired Anthony and his team. I can't say enough about the diligence and care they took in this project. They worked under some weather conditions that most would find unworkable, having to dig out numerous posts (by hand) in uncommon areas. You could certainly see they took pride in their work. I recall Anthony saying we could "park cars on the decks" after they completed the job and he was absolutely correct in his assessment. We are thoroughly pleased with our new decks. So much so, we are painting the exterior of our home and we did not hesitate asking Anthony for a bid. If the care they took on the decks is any indication, we are highly confident that we will be equally as pleased with the painting. We bought an old house in Maple Leaf neighborhood. We wanted to do some renovation and remodel of the house. Anthony came out and gave me a fair estimate of all the projects, I would say his prices were very competitive. From start to finish Anthony was cordial, easy to communicate and to work with, and very trustworthy as well as professional (he actually charged exactly what he estimated). I'm impressed by his responsiveness (Anthony is accessible, he answers his phone. Time and time again, with other contractors, they disappear, you cannot get in touch with them. When I encountered workmanship that was questionable on a certain part, I complained and Anthony was responsive, fixed the error and the problem was solved). His guys were friendly and easy to deal with, they showed up on time to do the work even over the weekend. They were careful to clean up every day before leaving. Overall I am very pleased with the work. I highly recommend them and sure I will be using them again in the future. We had a fantastic experience with Anthony and his crew on our large composite deck project. Our existing wood deck was over 20 years old, and the entire structure needed to be replaced. We got 5 bids for the job. Due to COVID and the high demand for pressure treated wood and composite decking, several of the bids were simply outrageous. Other bidders couldn't get to our project for months. Anthony's bid was very competitive, and he was able to have his crew start on the job quickly so the late summer weather was in their favor. His crew was exemplary! They were professional, detailed, and precise, and they consistently cleaned up the construction debris so our backyard was still usable after they left each day. Anthony was extremely responsive throughout the construction process, and was very reasonable when we made a last minute design change. Although the final completion of the project was a bit delayed (due to the national supply shortage of composite decking, through no fault of NW Quality Construction) his entire team was fabulous and very flexible. When the last pieces of decking arrived the day before Thanksgiving, he had his crew out the following week to complete the deck! Our new deck is absolutely beautiful. We would HIGHLY recommend NW Quality Construction, and absolutely plan to work with Anthony and his team again for any future remodeling projects on our home! read more

I just used NWQualityConstruction to remodel two bathrooms and a laundry room and they are AWESOME! The quality exceeded all my expectations, the workmanship and attention to detail was a 10 out of 10. They helped my find and select materials, were open to my change requests during work without any additional charges, they communicated regularly throughout the work and kept the house clean during the work. The estimate was exactly what I paid except for some upgraded materials I requested. They did NOT shortcut any work, always choosing to do it right instead of cheap or quick. They did it all, not subbing out any work except for the glass for the showers and his recommended glass guy did great work. They stay on your job until finished, they do NOT job share time. This way, your work is the only work until they are done. And to show his commitment to your job, he does not required up front full payment any any time. Progress payments on big jobs were reasonable and final payment was only upon completion. They cleaned up every day's end and were consistently no time daily and worked a full day each day. Anthony, the owner is always available by text, email and phone and responds quickly to inquires. One thing for sure, we will be using them again when redo all our old doors and trim work. His staff is highly skilled at plumbing, electrical, carpentry and hardware installations. All you need to remember is NW Quality Construction for all you home remodeling and addition needs. NW Quality construction has done a hardwood floor and new siding on my house and they are currently painting my sons house. The estimates on my projects were the best of the estimates I got. The workers were always on time and the jobs exceeded my expectation. The flooring looks great and was done on time. I have a 3300 sq. ft. home of 3 stories. They took off the old siding and replaced it with hardy plank. they replaced some rotten wood and caulked the house well including the trim around windows. They painted the house and spent a lot of time detailing the trim. They got the color I requested and the house looks great. They estimated a 2 week job and it was done in exactly that amount of time. The workers worked from 8 am until 6 pm and a little later if something needed to be finished. I highly recommend them for any type of home remodeling. read more

We used Northwest Quality Construction recently to remodel the upstairs of our new house. We wanted to take down a wall, sand and refinish the floors, install recessed lighting, and replace the baseboards, doors and trim. That was our wish list - we thought ok maybe we can't do everything for our budget, but we hoped we could do most. We started getting estimates and were pretty shell-shocked. Some people wanted $10K just to do our floors! Not what we were prepared for. Then we met with Anthony. He gave us more than reasonable prices and did all the work with a high attention to detail. We were able to do everything on our list and more, and have been absolutely thrilled with the results. Our house has been completely transformed for under 20K. There are other things we want to do to the house as well - new floors in the kitchen, bathroom remodels, etc. and we absolutely plan to go back to Anthony for that work. Everyone says remodels can be horrible to go through, but we had a really positive experience and, like I said, are thrilled with the results! My only hesitation in writing this review would be that too many people find out about him and he gets to booked up to do our additional work! read more
