Josh and Jake are a two-man dynamic duo. They efficient, intelligent, very honest and polite. They totally "remade" our small, inefficient bathroom. They tore it down to the studs, moved a window to create a beautiful shower, and turned the room into a functional work of art. And they did it on budget! We hit a snag because my hubby wanted cultured marble for the shower and Josh does tile (as in our beautiful heated floor). We chose a lower bid, (our mistake) and the guys didn't know how to cut the shower window and niche properly. When Josh saw the poor quality work he got right on the phone and let them know (in no uncertain terms), their work would have to be redone! It was all fixed to our satisfaction. Jake was here when they came back to supervise. Josh and Jake do top quality work and don't put up with subcontractor folly. But they graciously bear with clients who sometimes "overreact." They listened and made it right.... One more thing to mention. If you plan on booking these guys do it way in advance. They don't advertise. They don't have to. . Also a "shout out" to Herman at Pacific Kitchen and Bath in Tacoma for the gorgeous vanity top they fabricated for us from a remnant. It's perfect!

Their attention to detail was outstanding--from day one, they tracked every discussion point on the spot and followed through to the point. Communication was transparent throughout, with regular photos and an easy-to-follow calendar through an app where both sides have an access to. Only 2-3% of communications on calendar fell through the busy messaging and we had 2 surprise visits from contractors, but comparing to our previous experiences this is nothing :) they always were careful in locking front door and the garage and making sure we are aware they have left if we are home. Sounds like common sense usually but I'm surprised how much this is not followed through sometimes. they stuck to the timeline with only the smallest deviations and the project wrapped up exactly on the 6-week mark--even with added scope as was first estimated by Amir. What stood out most was how they acted as true advocates for us. When suppliers made errors (like cabinet misorders or off-center lighting), Shani stepped in, held them accountable, and ensured it all got corrected--without compromising quality or timeline. Having had a previous experience with a less diligent contractor, I was quietly blown away by ARE Seattle's quality control. During the final walk-through, they noticed and corrected details I hadn't even seen. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just pride in their work. Vasile…read morehad to come out twice to complete the estimate because I changed my mind about some things, and he was prompt and accommodating. He and Chris came out together for the first bid and had good ideas that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Once the project started, Vasile continued to be prompt but was also very quiet (helpful while working from home during COVID) and clean. Most importantly, though, his work is impeccable (I'll add some photos later). Vasile installed a bathroom vanity and recessed medicine cabinet, moved a lighting fixture, and fixed all the drywall and trim. It is perfect. He also fixed some drywall, textured, and painted some walls where an electrician had to cut in. You can't even tell any work was done. Finally, and most impressively, he closed up a closet door and moved it to the other side of the closet to build a large pantry. My house is very old and crooked. Nothing is plumb, level, or square. Nevertheless, he managed to frame, trim, and hang the closet door, plus build, drywall, texture, and paint the wall, and trim it out to match the rest of the house. He was very thoughtful about all the details. Next, they are coming out to build a fence and deck for us. We can't wait to see how it turns out!

I just called them today on the 12th and after introducing myself and asked if I'll be receiving a quote anytime soon since its been so long, he hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Why even come out if you're not interested in the job? Or take so long to give a quote since I'm trying to gather some quotes to make my decision. If there was a legitimate reason for the terrible customer service and they apologize I'll update the review.

We found Brutsky Builds since he was close to us in Lake Sammamish and noticed they had great reviews across the board so decided to give them a call and see what they can do for us. I was impressed off the bat with Erik's transparency and knowledge. We went through the full process of sharing what we were looking for and he guided us through it all. After the initial phone call we scheduled an onsite consultation and Erik went through everything very diligently, asked about all the details, and even 3D scanned the entire space. After that we went on a video call to review the proposal and figure out start dates and scheduling. He assigned a project manager to us and we got the ball rolling on the kitchen remodel. What was nice was that through the whole process we had one point of contact, we were added to a group chat on WhatsApp for all communication. Erik and the PM were always very communicative and responsive. He added us to his software that way we can see all the details and progress of the remodel. They had weekly updates for us throughout the entirety of the project and kept us up to speed on permit submittals, architecture/engineering appointments, and minor issues that were always corrected. What was awesome is that with the pre-con strategy we had transparent pricing with no change orders! Everything went smoothly with the schedule and all the work was done with excellence and with timeliness in mind. The whole process was smooth and they took on the stress for us. I hope this is a misunderstanding and will update the review if anything gets resolved. As of August 2026: --- I hired Brutsky Builds for a bathroom remodel and was very disappointed with their work. I was very clear with the scope of work. I provided (1) the scope of work in writing, (2) an in-person walkthrough of the work, and (3) a recording of that walkthrough. Despite that, the work was sloppy and not up to code. One example: installed drywall on top of and over my instant hot water heater, enclosing it in the wall. That's both a code violation and a fire hazard. They charged a $5k change order to fix their own code violations, which I paid in good faith. Despite that, they did not complete other work in the spec that they agreed to (in our video recording!). They are also padding their existing contract with fees I never agreed to. Stay away.
