Only 2-3% of communications on calendar fell through the busy messaging and we had 2 surprise visits from contractors, but comparing to our previous experiences this is nothing :) they always were careful in locking front door and the garage and making sure we are aware they have left if we are home. Sounds like common sense usually but I'm surprised how much this is not followed through sometimes. they stuck to the timeline with only the smallest deviations and the project wrapped up exactly on the 6-week mark--even with added scope as was first estimated by Amir. What stood out most was how they acted as true advocates for us. When suppliers made errors (like cabinet misorders or off-center lighting), Shani stepped in, held them accountable, and ensured it all got corrected--without compromising quality or timeline. Having had a previous experience with a less diligent contractor, I was quietly blown away by ARE Seattle's quality control. During the final walk-through, they noticed and corrected details I hadn't even seen. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just pride in their work. We finished a major remodel with American Remodeling Experts in late 2023, including our kitchen, master bathroom, powder room and flooring on our 1st level. We selected this company after interviewing 12 general contractors, and we are very happy with the end result. - Quality: Amir assembled a great team of professional sub-contractors who took pride in their work. On most days, the core team worked on our house from 8.30am to 7pm, and cleaned up after themselves really well. Other sub-cons came to our job site many times until we were satisfied with the smallest details. Amir personally vetted all finish items' specifications to minimize installation risks before we made purchases. - On-time delivery: We moved out to a temp apartment to escape construction dust. To our surprise, Amir finished our big remodel within 12 weeks as promised on his contract. Amir and his team completely blew us away! Overall, they are just great to work with because they do an amazing job at a good price. We had struggled to find a great contractor at a reasonable price here in the PNW. Our neighbors all had a list of contractors they would never hire again, but nobody had a great story. I can tell you that American Remodeling Experts are a great contractor. First, Amir is very easy to work with, and for a techie family it is great that the plans, designs, schedule, and invoices are all online. He had a great idea for a "shower/bathtub stage" in our primary bathroom which we loved. Second, Amir and the team were amazingly flexible when we had an issue with our kitchen sink pulling away from our countertop which was not even part of the planned bathroom remodel. Christian, one of the foremen at ARE, came over to our house on a Friday evening and reattached the sink to the counter and added supports. As for the work, ARE did a remodel of our kids' bathroom and the primary bathroom. We were very happy with the design from Amir and the work from Cristian's team! They kept us updated along the way, brought in very good sub-contractors, and completed the work exceeding our expectations. We had American Remodeling Experts renovate two of our bathrooms. Overall the experience went really well and we are very happy with our updated bathrooms. I worked with Amir who created a list of what we need to buy and when for the project. We paid in increments as work was completed. The entire project took about three months from start to finish and both bathrooms were a complete tear down to the studs. Some rot was found after the tear down, but that was expected. We used American Remodeling Experts (ARE) to do full remodel of two bathrooms in our late-60s house. In the first, we replaced linoleum floors with natural stone, replaced and retiled a shower/tub combo and surround, put in a new vanity and sink, and installed a new electrical outlet and ceiling fan. In the second, we ripped out part of a wall, moved shower plumbing, and installed a gorgeous walk-in shower (tiled floor to ceiling) in place of a small prefab stall shower, including framing in a new horizontal niche in the shower that we absolutely love. I have to say we are definitely happy with the work they did in both bathrooms! Amir was great and friendly to work with, and a real stickler for details (which is good as the homeowner!). The actual contractors working in our house did excellent work and were very courteous. Even in our older home where we did come across a few surprises (missing supports under the floor and chewed-up insulation with critters), Amir and the team made the process really painless, and they were quick to resolve issues as they came up. Our lead contractor even went so far as to make flooring transition strips himself so they'd match our woodwork. In terms of cost, ARE isn't the cheapest, but they're also not the most expensive. They were definitely on par with the majority of quotes we got from other contractors. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for some remodeling work! read more

I worked with Amir and his former partner, Ben, on my kitchen remodel from July to Sep of 2018. Please be wary of this company. They have only been in business under this name for a few months. If you look at the older reviews, they do not mention American Remodeling Experts. They either do not mention a company at all or they talk about American Home Remodeling which is a company Amir was a partner to and Limor worked with for about a year before shuttering their doors. There was a significant turnover in subs and even project managers during the time Amir's company worked in my kitchen. I found out later that most had a difficult time working with the company management. The scheduled completion date was originally 30 days out. 75 days after they began, they scheduled a final walk through even though the cabinets were only partially installed, the electrical was not done, the banisters needed finishing, the toe kick boards uninstalled, etc. There were tools and sawdust throughout the house and the garage. At that point, I let them go. Unfortunately, the payments I had made toward the electrical, installation etc. never ended up in the hands of the subcontractors. On the contrary, they sent the subs to me to collect request payment even though AHR had cashed my checks. Multiple contractors were looking into filing a lawsuit to request payment for my job as well as other jobs sites. In the end, a partner met with each sub, told them the company was going bankrupt and offered them about 20% of the payment due. Then Amir and Limor took down American Home Remodeling name off the website, put American Remodeling Experts on the title and reopened using selected reviews from the past company they abandoned. Many of my kitchen required cabinets had to be reordered and I had to double dip in my pocket to pay for completion of the work. The subs had to deal with the financial loss. AHR avoided both payment and lawsuits by simple starting over. I believe this is unethical. If you choose to work with this company, be wiser than I was. Demand to see all receipts. Do not make any verbal agreements. Make sure work by sub-contractors and all materials are paid for at time of service or delivery, and withhold enough money to finish the job yourself should they decide to close their doors or cannot complete the project in a timely manner. read more
