Did a nice job for a great price. They turned my ugly floors into something to be proud of.

Andy's 5 Star Flooring - New Shaw vinyl plank displays for 2017

Andy's 5 Star Flooring

I have a background in corporate vendor management specifically within trades, and a strong preference for spending money with local business. I eliminated two of the options based on a lack of response or follow-up to my inquiries, leaving two where I focused on quality of product, price, and installation. In the end, Andy's was able to provide a 15% better price for the exact same product, pad, and installation options. Installation took two days, the installers were wonderful people. Family and I couldn't be happier. I'll certainly recommend Andy's to my friends.

We went to Andy's 5 Star Flooring in Bothell due to a recommendation from a friend after a failed…read moreattempt for a quote with one of the big box stores. Our job was replacing flooring on the top floor of a split level that included removing tile in the entry and kitchen. We knew our flooring under the carpet was subpar from the carpet install 24 years prior and we expressed this to the salesman from Andy's several times. He assured us they could fix it. The measure, product choices and quote all went smoothly and we had an install date set for 1 month out in October. We started moving furniture downstairs in preparation. The day before the product delivery the sales rep from Andy's told us that it had not arrived. We were given a new install date in November but when the date arrived, same story. Now our install date was early December. The Sales Rep from Andy's apologized and added free furniture move due to the delays so we left our 4 pieces of leather furniture upstairs. Again, no product and install was set for Monday after Christmas. The initial install attempts had been scheduled for a 4 day install but this one was only for 3 and during a holiday week. On day of install, crew didn't show up until after 10am and left about 5pm. The install crew was short one person and had forgotten the tool to remove tile. Someone delivered it several hours later. Removing the tile created tons of dust. None of our furniture, countertops or appliances were covered. The installer complained constantly about our floor level and that he didn't have enough time to do a good job although the crew were very seldom here for a full 8 hours. The 3rd day they left at 4pm as it was New Year's Eve. They had to come back New Year's Day to complete the install. Bottom line we are happy with the final product result. We don't know if the problems of material delivery were in fact the product company or Andy's incompetence. We will place the problems with install on Andy's as they did not give the installers adequate time to do a good job. Especially during a holiday week. We were left with a HUGE mess to clean up with tile dust thick on our furniture, walls, appliances, kitchen, etc. Our free furniture moving for compensation was not performed. We also had to have the installer come back later to clean up glue that was smeared on the new flooring. Although the Andy's rep was communicative and easy to reach, I would not recommend Andy's.

This time around, the refinish job was needed to make the house look brighter with updated modern finish. Home came out great, no more yellowish hue that was popular 20 years ago. Floor looks fresh, entire house looks bright and inviting. One of my neighbors came by requesting Dinu's contact info. Well done Dinu & Team.

Ok i am finally writing this review. I was looking for a hardwood floor installation company to…read morereplace all existing carpets with new hardwood floors. After talking to 3 companies that were all recommended by my coworkers, I ended up going with Dinu for the following reasons. - his passion for hardwood. i want someone who is passionate about his work. Dinu is the man - knowledge. i ended up chatting with all of them and found Dinu to be very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Because this is something he is passionate about , he would spend enough time to explain his thoughts. - integrity. his estimate was very buttoned up without any funny stuff Honestly, there are lots of people who know how to install hardwood floors. I've done that on my own so for me, finding a guy that i can trust and rely on mattered more than anything else. Dinu is that type of the guy. Because the work can only start after closing the house, I had to time everything perfectly and even with a perfect plan, things always go wrong, and it is a matter of a call or text to him to take care of it. Of course, the installation done by his crews (great guys too. there is this older gentleman who is very professional and put all the young guys to shame!!! I believe his name was Mike. It was such a pleasure to get to know the crews as well. I am pleased with the quality for the planning, communication and installation done by Dinu and his team. I would not hesitate a moment to recommend ADL.In fact, I will most likely use his service to update the other house in the near future. Thanks Dinu!

Overall, I would have given 5 stars, except for one big issue which may or may not be relevant to…read moreyou. I felt it necessary to downgrade to 3.5, or rounded to 4 stars, due to the reason below. Travis was our assigned salesman when we inquired about getting new carpet. Came to our house at the appointment time, very polite, professional, and patient with our questions. Was prompt in answering emails and calls, top notch customer service. Gave us upfront pricing and was even able to help us get a discount from the carpet supplier. Then the installers - they did a good job overall, some unevenness in the padding between some rooms, but overall compared to another cheaper company we used at our previous residence, decent and fast. So what was the problem? They left multiple staples in our house - there were 8 staples on the carpet that we found in various rooms. Understandably it was a large area for carpeting that was installed, so there were bound to be some areas they missed vacuuming, but some were directly in the middle of the floors, and we found one - in our baby's mouth! We were in the same room just keeping an eye out so quickly picked it out, but had our baby decided to quickly eat it there would have been some major issues and a potential lawsuit on Haight's hands. Travis offered an email apology after we brought the issue to him. Please please in the future ask your installers to make sure they vacuum all areas and be careful with disposal of staples!!!

My husband and I visited the Woodinville showroom and Jacob was the first salesman who welcomed us in. I wanted to replace our carpet with another high quality carpet that would last for the next 20 years. He was friendly and happily answered my questions, showed us a few samples and let us look around. We took home a couple boards and I returned later in the week and picked up another half dozen or so. We settled on a carpet especially designed for pets that comes with a 25 year warranty. Trying to find the perfect color that would work well with our LVP and hardwood floors was challenging! Since we were torn between two similar colors, Jacob offered to contact the manufacturer and get larger samples for us and have them sent to our home via FedEx. He was excellent in communicating through email how the scheduling and payment process worked and kept us informed of anything we needed to know about along the way. The installation was last week and went just as smooth. We're very happy with the product we chose and I would gladly do business again with Haight Carpet and Jacob!
